You’re always polite and kind with others. That makes people feel comfortable around you and many would consider you a close friend. However, you seldom feel connected with those around you. You feel like they don’t know you, the real you, and they never will because you’ll never allow them. It takes a great amount of time and trust for you to show yourself as you really are, because you repress most of your feelings and desires, and mask them with a calm and collected personality. It just seems easier that way, safer. But remember that if you bottle everything up, it will explode one day, maybe in ways you aren’t proud of.

I don't want to give anyone ideas but if they ever make Robert Rebellion's tv or movie version then Robert Baratheon is going to be portrayed as the worst man ever who raped woman here and there and probably assaulted Lyanna.

Tragic King Aerys who loves his family and wants to burn the whole city because he has a good cause!! Sacrifices will wake dragons! Dragons eggs could have hatched before Dany! Aerys' was a genius. And yes Rhaella supported him and Rhaegar with everything.

Also, Tywin Lannister was best buddy of Aerys. He sent the Mountain and Amory Lorch to protect the royal family! Those noble knights who accidentally killed the little girl maybe because he couldn't identify whether the Princess was Targaryen or not? Maybe she wasn't.

Although, the female characters endings and purposes are entirely unnecessary- I do ultimately understand the writing.
Peaky Blinders is filmed from the perspective of Thomas, so we’re looking at the characters through Thomas’ eyes. Arthur is a broken drunk to him. John is just a henchman to him. Grace is an opportunity for ‘redemption’ (He fabricated an idea of who she was, therefore her death became more tragic. see: reasons why Grace lost her personality after Thomas pegged her). Etc. These characters are more than what Thomas perceives! What I’m trying to say is that Thomas is an unreliable narrator.
He has crippling trust issues and a toxic personality which he’s developed through traumatic experiences and as a result has become numb to empathy of human life. This means, that we can’t rely on Thomas to give us an accurate depiction on what the characters are like, as they aren’t people to him- they’re tools. (Exactly what the gif set is saying).
So once Thomas gets his prize (the woman) or once he shoves his dick in it (the woman) or once he no longer sees use in it (the woman)- they lose every aspect of what stood out to him that he could use.
Something we ALL forget, is that Thomas Shelby is a horrible man. Steven Knight, whether intentionally or not, romanticised the gangster life and made us see Thomas as though he’s just a broken man or a misunderstood soul. Just because you’ve gone through shit, does not mean you can shit on everyone else.
Maybe I’m wrong and maybe Steven Knight just didnt do that on purpose, which is a bit of a dick move (not the kind that I appreciate).
Lucky for us though, this means we can write about the Shelby women however we please because with character holes comes space to fill. So don’t be angry at Steven Knight because he’s given us ample opportunities to now write these women however we please- we can make them into the queens and matriarchs that they really are. Just because Thomas Shelby is a dick to them, doesn’t mean we have to accept that as well!

in arcane the like. material implication of piltover's industrial processes is that it has the downstream effect of polluting zaun presumably through mining but possibly thru other industrial activities like manufacturing and chemical processing. the enforcers wear what amount to filtration masks and jayce says that viktor is sick possibly because of "the gases in the fissures where he grew up". even if mining isn't taking place in zaun anymore, it seems like the former mining practices + whatever other industrial processes have had pretty detrimental effects on the environment overall such that gases are probably still released into the air from the mining fissures.
but in league lore one of the major contributors to zaun grey is the manufacturing of hex gems specifically. it's not clear if house ferros is involved in this in arcane - the show kind of makes it seem like the hex gems aren't yet being manufactured/processed into like shelf-stable items yet, they just exist as prototypes in jayce and viktor's lab and the raw materials for the gems (ie the original crystals) come from the brackern in shurima.
this isn't really going anywhere except to say that i think that if the hex gems ever reach mass-scale production in the arcane universe, the impact that it would have on zaun is actually probably more dramatic and far-reaching than the manufacturing of hextech weapons and i think that's actually sadder and more fucked up that viktor participated in that than it is sad that his work would eventually be co-opted for weaponry
