Lol another Spider-Man post! I’m a little late to the party but calling this Spider-Weekend since I have more stuff left in the tank 😂

You were a rookie recruit from the Big Apple after a video of you went viral. You wouldn’t really call yourself “hero,” but you tried your best to be that Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man you thought was needed.
You tried to keep a low profile, since most people weren’t really accepting of Radiants yet. But you were seen on the streets before: catching shoplifters, maybe a robber or two, or just helping people with directions. But the video was a clip from a news station after a large subway train started barreling down the tracks with no brakes and a broken bridge.
Only for a masked figure in a hoodie to suddenly swoop down from the sky and slow it with only some webs and their bare hands.
That was by far the craziest stunt you’ve ever pulled. Thankfully everyone made it off the train safely, with the so-called Spider-Man/Spider-Woman no where to be found.
Brimstone had it in mind; a selfless Radiant like you with powerful skills could prove to be a valuable asset to the team. But no one could find you or even knew who you were.
You were just trying your best to lay low for awhile. Until a warning went out throughout the city that a spike had been planted in Brooklyn and everyone was required to evacuate.
You obviously just couldn’t stand by, not with your home and family were at risk, so you tried to track the bomb down yourself before the city was blown sky high. That’s where you met Jett and Gekko, who were scoping out the area trying to track the spike down. Until they found you tangled up in your webs trying to figure out how to disarm the dang thing.
It took awhile, but the bomb was deactivated, Brimstone offered up the chance for you to join the Valorant Protocol instead of swinging around all day in a Halloween costume. You said yes! 🙌
You mostly hang out with the youngster squad, mainly Gekko since you and him come from a similar background. Not really in it for the glory or anything hardcore, just going around trying to help and hang out. Plus he had good taste in music.
However, Jett has taken a liking to you too. Often racing with each other on missions to see who gets there first while pulling parkour tricks in the air.
Since you can stick to walls, it does take everyone some time to get used to your abilities. And that means ALOT of mischief. You once scared Phoenix in the break room when he was looking for something to eat. Only to scream and fall when you offered him some cereal.
Not only that but I’m sure it’s be scary to see your crawling around the walls every now and then. Just imagine seeing that at night in the hallway. . . 😅
But your webs are also cool for tricks too; you once make a giant trampoline outside of the base for everyone to use, and Brimstone still hasn’t gotten over your little scheme of sticking all the furniture to the ceiling!

You were now certain that Iso was a cat in his past life.
It was sometimes surprising how he could be a calm predator on the field and yet such a soft cutie patootie in the intimacy of your dorm room. His face buried in your chest as you were lounging on your bed, you could almost hear him purring as you were gently scratching his scalp.
What if you stopped your ministrations ? He would calmly grab your hand and put it back on the top of his head without even lifting his face from your chest.
So yeah, a cat.
You weren't complaining, though. These kind of moment was enjoyable. The quiet was soothing and enveloping the both of you in a warm embrace. And when you felt Iso's strong arms wrapping your waist in a soft grip, you knew he felt the same.
"You're adorable, you know that ?" You chuckled softly in his ear.
He just huffed, his breath warming the fabric of your top.
"Will you purr for me, kitty ?" You teased him.
Your teasing did not last long as he pinched your hips lightly, chuckling mischievously at your offended yelp.
Yoru found you annoying.
Why did you have to get so drunk ? You're even louder than usual now. He had to endure your irritating voice singing as he carried you on his back towards the dorm. He had to endure the sweet giggle escaping your lips every time he turned a corner. He had to endure the frustrating sensation of butterflies in his tummy when you nuzzled your face in the back of his neck.
Of course, he did not forget that your inebriated state was Jett's doing. But he could not help but think how stupid you were to drink that much even though you knew you were a lightweight.
When he finally put you in the warmth of your bed, he rolled his eyes at the sight before him.
You were drooling.
With an exasperated sigh and a scowl on his face, he wiped your chin clean and prepared to leave the room.
"Yoru."
He froze. You were only mumbling in your sleep, yet he could not stop the sigh of frustration from leaving his lips. He looked back at you, his cheeks slightly blushing, then tucked you in better.
He found himself ridiculous. Ridiculous for feeling that way towards you. Ridiculous for thinking you were cute. Ridiculous for caring that much.
He will definitely not forget to scold you in the morning while helping recover from your hangover.
"Can you make zombies ?"
Sage froze her movements and raised her gaze from your injury to look at you with a lost expression.
"Excuse me ?"
It wasn't the first time you asked her these kind of questions. However, she will never get use to it. It seemed like you were particularly inspired when you were wounded.
"Well, since you can revive people and all that, what if you could do something in between ? Like, reviving but not really reviving."
She momentarily wondered if you had lost too much blood. Or if you had breathed the new plants Skye was gardening a little too much. She focused back on your still bleeding injury with a small sigh and resumed her ministrations.
"I am very doubtful of zombies existence."
You hummed, your feet momentarily swinging and she had to stop your movements to focus more on your injury.
"Well, I've seen Brimstone on a sunday morning and he could make anyone believe in their existence." you said with a shrug.
Sage's eyes raised again to look at you with an almost exasperated glint.
"Plus, if a being like Omen exist, why not zombies ?" you added. "I'm saying that respectfully, of course. No diss to Omen. He's a cool knitting cutie patootie."
She found nothing to respond to that, so she just resumed on disinfecting your wound. While she sometimes found your trail of thoughts amusing, she could not help but worry that someday you might submit to those crazy idea that ran free in your mind.
"I'll ask Viper if she could make me a concoction."
"Please do not."
Gekko and you had routines together : basking on the grass of the garden, watching movies while speaking about the plot, drawing together, cooking...
It was pretty common to see you two laughing together around the base. Jett and Phoenix were even betting on the potential date of the upgrade of your relationship.
So one would not be surprised seeing you in the kitchen, dancing in each other arms. You were supposed to bake midnight snacks, but the sweet voice of Ambar Lucid on her song 'Timeless' set the atmosphere. His arms wrapped tightly around your waist, yours around his neck and your hips swaying in harmony, one could not miss the chemistry between you two. Your eyes were communicating what words couldn't, the soft smiles you were sharing only confirming what you felt for each other. Your faces slowly got closer to the other.
"May I...?" he murmured gently to which you simply nodded.
His lips pressed gently on your cheek and your fingers clenched blissfully on his t-shirt at the contact. Gekko smiled and kissed you again, this time on the lips. You returned the kiss lovingly, your happiness merging with his.
There was something in Fade's focus that was so beautiful. The slight crease of her eyebrows, the concentration in her wonderful odd eyes, the precision in her hands... This will definitely not be the last time you asked her to draw with henna on your hands. The artwork she was making on your hand was simply too beautiful to be made only once.
"I know you're staring, tatlım." she said softly without even lifting her eyes.
You smiled softly, your eyes filled with adoration.
"I'm not staring. I'm admiring, that's different." you corrected her with a light chuckle.
She looked up from her art to fix her gaze on yours, an amused glint in her eyes.
"You're corny, you know that ?"
"I don't care." you shrugged nonchalantly. "You're worth being corny for."
Under the intensity of your gaze, Fade almost blushed. But she only returned your smile, shaking her head lightly with mirth. She lifted your wrist to press a kiss on it, her eyes not leaving yours.
Yoru loved riding his bike with you behind.
Feeling the wind on his skin, the warmth of your body against his back, your grip tightening around his waist during every bends and accelerations, everything felt perfect.
"Are you good back there ?" he asked at a red light, his hand reaching back to caress your knee.
"Yep !" you said with energy, playfully knocking your helmeted heads with his.
You only giggled at his grunt. The light turned green and he started the engine again. He enjoyed the illuminations of the city as much as your sighs filled with wonder. Yoru loved loneliness, but he wasn't against being alone with you. The lone wolf wasn't so lonely anymore, and he was fine with it. Sharing these moment with you melted his cold heart.
A gentle smile painted his lips as he accelerated, feeling your torso almost merging into his back.
It was well-known around the base that Iso had the best aim among all the agents of the protocol. You always admired his ability to just calmly shoot without a miss during any stressful mission. So of course, you wanted him to train you. You wanted to be more effective on the field, more reliable.
"Focus."
Easier said than done. If only your heart could beat at a steady rhythm. In your mind, a private tutoring session sounded like a good idea. But his hand on your waist, his chest against your back and his other hand overing yours as he helped you maintaining a good posture made your stomach lively with butterflies. And his teasing breath warming the back of your ear was absolutely not helping.
"Take a deep breath."
Unbeknownst to you, he took great fun teasing you like that. Feeling you all shaky and nervous against his chest, he found it adorable. But he also found you admirable. You did not hesitate to seek for help because you acknowledged your wicknesses. That was one of the many things he loved about you.
"Don't forget to prepare for the recoil of the gun." he murmured gently in your ear.
You took a deep breath and nodded, following his instructions faithfully and Iso had a small smile. He felt the shaking of your hand stop and your breath calming. Then, you shot right in the head of the target. He felt his heart melting when you looked at him with a proud smile.
You came for shooting lessons, but you had already shot into his heart.
You loved Sova's body. His broad shoulders that could carry any weight, his strong arms that weren't hiding any strength, his back muscles that rippled smoothly under his skin.
"Are you done taking pictures ?" he sighed as he shot you a long side-glance.
You smiled broadly behind your camera, still immortalising this moment. You did not miss the shy blush dusting his pale cheeks. He made such a beautiful model in your lovestruck eyes.
"Ignore my presence, my dear hunter."
Clic. Easier said than done. Your gaze was heavy, intensified by the lens of the camera. Sova sighed and resumed his archery session. He sometimes thought you were worse than Cypher. He tried to focus once more on the target but he felt your eyes burning his skin.
"You know that you're cute when you're blushing ?" you chuckled softly.
Clic. He cleared his throat to hide his embarrassment. He focused his aim, shot and missed his target.
Clic. You hummed mischievously, put down your camera and walked calmly towards him. You back-hugged him, your sweet laughter muffled in the fabric of his clothes.
"Aw, Sasha !" you cooed playfully at him. "Is my presence a problem ?"
Sova scoffed but caressed the back of your hand with a softness that was only shown to you.
"You're lucky I love you, моя сова."
Yoru was arrogant.
It was well-known by everyone and he wasn't even trying to hide it. To himself, he was the best, period. And like every arrogant people, he hated being humbled. It did not feel right.
"What is it, rift-walker ? Can't stand on your feet ?"
He despised it, your little proud smile. He couldn't believe that him, Kiritani Ryo, was being defeated in hand-in-hand combat by the newest agent. Each round felt like an humiliation. And he refused to accept that. But everytime he stood on his feet for another round, you immediately put him back to where he did not belong, the ground.
"Haven't you had enough ?"
He hated it, that tone you just used. You sounded so bored.
"Don't get ahead of yourself, newbie." he scoffed.
You let out a small giggle that made him clench his jaw.
"You're the one saying that ?" you asked rhetorically. "I can teach you some ropes, if you want."
Now he had enough. How dared you ? With an irritated huff, he stood up and walked out of the training room.
You just chuckled, not offended but amused. Other agents warned you about Yoru, and you just found how interesting and amusing he could be. You already figured him out : he'll soon challenged you for another round. That was how arrogant people worked, they were predictable and Yoru wasn't an exception.

Reyna learned to speak Mandarin just so she could flirt with Sage without Brimstone noticing during meetings

Reyna sides with Gekko while Sage sides with Deadlock and that has gotten them into very heated discussions (while not even Gekko and Deadlock would argue)

I love them so much
Both joined before the Venice accident, obviously. They only met after Phoenix had met the omega Jett so he didn't quite like her and Jett blamed him for her reputation being ruined. The issue was solved a week later because both of them liked DC.

Sunwoo has a skincare routine that she follows religiously and every weekend her and Jamie have a spa day. She likes taking care of him and he loves to see her happy.
After the Venice incident, Jett was having a really hard time with everything. Phoenix helped her and offered emotional support and the young friendship she needed, that's how she started liking him.
Phoenix never really figured out when he started liking Jett, after they became friends it was so natural to like her romantically.
Despite loving each other and being so important to each other, they are on their early 20s and are impulsive, they break up over the smallest things but always get together again after a week.
They started dating before Skye joined the protocol, Reyna was the only one who knew since they didn't want Sage, Brimstone or Viper to find out, the non fraternization rule was going on after all.
After Raze and Killjoy's first discussion, Tayane asked them for advice and Jett told her to break up. She didn't break up.

The transition from their friendship to their relationship was very smooth so when they started dating, things didn't really change much since it was all already natural to them.

a/n:here's some headcannons of the protocol's best boy and my main main since he came out, mateo. i will call him mateo through the whole stuff bc i feel better that way. will be nsfw hcs [TW] but mostly fluff about your relationship with him and if or if not you're his 'partner' in the valorant protocol.
