I fell in love with the way fairies dance enchanted, with the moonlight shining upon their crystal coves, as the swirling tides of their shimmering forms twinkle and glitter, and the way the spindled gold of those translucent wings flutter behind the marbled curves of their backs, softly gliding across a sea of air as a delightful sound echoes in the glowing fare. I fell in love with the fairies in tales of old and new, in carved glyphs and painted seals … I fell in love with the wishes they could grant - I fell in love with the idea of my wishes coming true …

When the nightmares reach out with their claws and painfully grab hold of me, please my love, hold me harder . . . pull me away from the abyss with the strength of your arms around me . . .

She was a dragon that could not fly, but with every desperate breath and with every hopeful sigh she looked at him sitting on the moon and tried again and again, to reach that beautiful starlit sky.

He compared his love for her to a wild red rose . . . She should have realised that pure , wild roses cannot survive the winter . . . And so, when spring arrived across the horizon, She was left with nothing more than bleeding fingers cut by thorns.

I had rather hoped that you’d read the love letter I left you. But I guess even the smallest tokens of my affection for you is insignificant . . .

Did it hurt you? “Tell me,” - after the hugs, the kisses, the confessions, the touches, the sacrifices, the parting - “in the end, Did it hurt?”

They tell me to look at the sunrise and to embrace the shimmers and forgive the sinners. But tell me, how do I forgive the people who broke more than my heart more than my trust but also my very life?

As I stood by the edge of the cliff, as the sea crushed against the rocks below, as the waters turned darker more, as the air and the wind bellowed across the shore, I heard the voice of the world calling me - telling me to let my pain go. And so I shout as loudly as I can, the source of all my grief and pain. A single word. A single story. A single end. Your name.

Tell me, does it break your heart to know that if you had stayed, you wouldn't be alone now - that you'd have a woman who loves you enough not to leave you for someone else?

There's a story at the tips of your fingers, where the paint has dried upon your skin, where the ridges of each printed flesh is filled with golden yellow hues. Tell me, beautiful girl, have you found the strength to paint your own sun?

Look not at the scars upon her neck, or the thundering bird against her breast. Look beyond the marker pens of life against her chiseled skin for between each bone lays therein an ocean of hope that lives within - hope for the rain that comes after the sun’s unending hums.

I saw a butterfly the other day flitter, flatter pass my way hovering and wandering as if to say “He may have taken your brightest rose but the heart stringed roots will always be yours.”

Scribbled numbers on a post-it note, Smudged ink letters then I wrote. The playful night went on and on, with drinks that led to a liason. Then morning came and I looked on at the post-it note on which you’ve drawn, a face smirking on and on.

A broken artist stands alone under a lilac tree of thrones - hands shadowed by despair from duties and coined affairs. “Why,” the artist asks the air, “is life so unfair?”

There’s beauty in silence in the way the air quivers as each breath of word travels from unspeaking lips. There’s beauty in silence, even if silence is the only answer you give me when I say ‘I love you.’
