you become very dangerous when you realise you can do it alone
๐Thereโs a quiet strength in just existing. Itโs easy to overlook, especially when everything feels awful, but simply getting through each day is a huge accomplishment. You might not always see it, but just by being here, youโre adding something uniquely important to the world. Itโs not about doing something extraordinary or being the best; itโs about continuing on, even when things are tough. Your presence matters, and it has a positive impact in ways you might not notice, but others do. Give yourself credit for the small victories, the moments when you keep going despite it all. Those moments show just how strong you are, even if it doesnโt feel that way. Hang on to that thought, because itโs a truth worth holding onto as you face whatever comes your way.๐

Hi dear, I saw your post about moving to Spain and it resonated with me a lot. I moved away for uni 15 years ago โ from Japan to the US. I remember it being so exciting and intimidating. If I could give you any advice it would be:
1. Donโt beat yourself up about being apprehensive. This is going to be one of the biggest transitions of your entire life! But know that youโre going to a place where you will find many people experiencing something similar, and there are systems in place at your university to support you and your community of foreign students as you make that transition.
2. If you wake up in the middle of the night, donโt think about it. Everything is 100x scarier at 3am. Give yourself permission to put those thoughts aside and mull things over in the morning when life is more concrete.
3. Make a conscious effort to say goodbye to your home, family and current life. Many people put this off because itโs difficult and sad, but it ultimately helps you process and move forward. Revisit all your favorite spots before you leave, eat your favorite foods from your home country, plan special time one-on-one with your family members (and take pics! I did this and hung them in my dorm room), and even have a going away party if thatโs an option for you.
Ultimately, you are going to have an incredible experience abroad (I think you know this too). Youโre very brave to venture far away on your first journey and you will be so thankful for it. I hope you have a wonderful time and enjoy your time at home before your new adventure begins :)
thank you so much for your kind words, this kind of changes can be really scary, but are definitely what enriches our personality and culture ๐ thank you for sharing your story

tricking yourself into doing tasks that make you nervous
you know the situations. when you get wrapped up overthinking and suddenly, this seemingly easy task seems horrible and daunting. here are some tips to help you trick your brain into completing the action.
visualise success. imagine how good it will feel once the task is completed. this can boost your motivation and reduce anxiety.
pair the task with an enjoyable activity - for example listening to your favourite music or having a nice cup of coffee while working.
promise yourself a reward for completing the task. it could be something small like a treat or a break to do something you enjoy.
tell yourself that you're just excited. you're challenging yourself. this positive gaslighting will help you feel more positive about your nervous energy.

don't give up on studying; you're capable of achieving your goals with persistence and effort. remember, challenges are a part of the learning process, and every step you take brings you closer to success. keep going.
stop letting your potential and life go to waste because you don't feel confident or ready enough

you don't want to look back and wish you had worked a little harder.
so useful ๐ everyone needs to read this
signs of self-sabotage, a.k.a. inner red flags ๐ฉ (and my tips to fix them!)
๐ฉ you set up unmanageably big goals and short deadlines for yourself. (the fix: set up daily, small goals that are in accordance to your skills and possibilities instead of your desires.)
๐ฉ you beat yourself up whenever something goes wrong, and label yourself as a failure. (the fix: understand that the path of progress demands mistakes so that you can learn, adjust and level up, and that the only way you can fail is by stopping your work.)
๐ฉ you're constantly comparing yourself to the people around you, and expecting their opinion on you. (the fix: playing the protagonist role in your life doesn't mean performing for an audience, it means writing your own story for yourself. nobody is watching over you, unless you're inviting their gaze, and most people will try to bring you down rather than lift you up because they themselves are insecure and lost. you're risking placing your self-worth in the hands of losers.)
๐ฉ you complain about your life all the time. (the fix: you're alive, which means you're in charge of the endless project that is you. complaining is just self-pity, and your "poor me" mentality is an excuse you use to not put in effort and hard work.)
your life is your responsibility. your life doesn't "happen" to you, you're in charge whether you like it or not. if you're unsatisfied with your life, it's up to you to find out what you need to do to change it!

โฅ๏นโก๏นโ๏น ๐ผ๐ณ๐ณ-๐๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ ๐ถ ๐น๐ถ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ ๐ฑ๐ผ ๐๐ผ ๐ฑ๐ฒ-๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ ( just pretend i wasn't gone for months guys )
between smartphones, computers, ipads, and screens everywhere, sometimes i feel like i have pudding instead of a brain and i need to engage in three-dimensional activities that don't involve staring at pixels all day, here are some ideas to get in touch with creativity and real word again.
๐ญ. drawing and colouring ( ๐จ )
whether it's drawing landscapes, characters from your favorite series or simple doodles, putting the pen on the paper relaxes me instantly. if you are not good at freehand drawing or you're simply lazy, there are many coloring books for adults with mandalas (my personal favorites) or animals/natural landscapes, also online you can find many drawings to color that you can print. in discount stores you can find packs of colored markers at a great price, after all we don't need to be professionals.
๐ฎ. puzzles and diamond paintings ( ๐งฉ )
i recently discovered diamond paintings and i'm obsessed with them, on amazon you can find many sets with amazing designs and composing them is really relaxing. having something to focus on for a few hours a day is really essential, puzzles are perfect for this purpose too.
๐ฏ. reading and writing ( ๐ )
this is a more challenging activity, when we are burnout the last thing we want to do is use our brain, but reading a good novel or writing down a few pages in your journal can distract you from the present moment and give you a bit of a break while still keeping you productive. every second spent reading or writing is a second invested in your personal growth.
๐ฐ. experiment with outfits and makeup ( โจ )
i have a lot of clothes but zero outfits, my favorite activity is decluttering my closet, putting away things i don't wear anymore and experimenting with new styles. also sitting at my desk and trying new makeup that's different from my usual eyeliner and mascara, i find it so fun and it's a great way to reconnect with my image when i've spent a month stuck in my room studying.
๐ฑ. cooking and baking ( ๐ง )
i'm not a good cook and i've burned more cakes than i care to admit, but i have to say it's terribly fun and therapeutic, especially if you're cooking with someone. u think anyone who cooks professionally hates having a second person in the kitchen with them, but when friends make a cake (ugly but tasty) and then eat it together in front of a cup of steaming tea - now, now, that's real therapy.
๐ฒ. working out, dancing, doing yoga ( ๐ฉฐ )
put on some music, dance in your room, follow your workout routine, lay out a mat and do stretching or yoga, connect with your body after being locked in your mind, physical activity is very important to keep your mind fresh ( mens sana in corpore sano ). if you can, go to a park, or an open space, just be careful of excessive stimuli.
these are some of the things i do, feel free to comment on your de-stressing activities.

taking effective notes in class
taking effective notes in class is the key to academic success. taking good notes will not only help you understand material during class but also serve as a valuable resource when doing exam preparation.
whether you're attending a lecture in person or watching one online, here are some strategies to help you become a better note-taker:
preparation before class .ยท:* before the lecture, review any assigned readings or materials. identify the main ideas and concepts that will likely be discussed. .ยท:* check the course syllabus to understand the day's focus. note important topics. .ยท:* briefly revisit notes from previous class sessions to connect new ideas.
during class .ยท:* write down the main concepts, helpful details, and examples. .ยท:* organize your notes strategically for post-lecture annotation and later review. .ยท:* use visual aids, such as pictures and diagrams, throughout your notes to illustrate concepts visually. .ยท:* include your own questions, observations, and reflections.
i hope you enjoyed today's post! โค๏ธ nene

Hi there, really like your page. So soft vibes.
Nice to find you here. I am INFJ too.
thank you angel ๐ have a nice day
barely passed a math exam but ehy still passed. it's been a tough couple of months.
i have a question: why do you keep sabotaging yourself? why is it that as soon as you think something is just out of your reach you do everything you can to get in your own way? why is it that as soon as things seem to be going right, you plant your feet and sit on the ground with your legs crossed?
you're not fucking lucky. you worked for it, you sweated, and you cried, and you sacrificed so much to reach the level of knowledge and skill you have now.
have you worked so hard only to say "how lucky"? no, damn it, i won't let you. you may not be a genius, you may not be the best in the world, but do you fucking think anyone could do what you did? do you think anyone could get to where you are? do you believe that anyone has the possibilities that you have?
put this in your head, you are not unexpressed potential, you are exceptional and with your hard work you can achieve unimaginable things. stop wasting your dreams just because they seem too big for the drawer.
edit : in italian we say "dream in the drawer" when we refer to a hope that is unlikely to come true, but not impossible.
ex. my dream in the drawer is to become a famous singer all over the world
(just in case you didn't understand the last sentence)

be willing to reinvent yourself
OKAY but why paperwork for students it's SO STRESSFUL? i'm literally a 19yo girl, no one tells me what to do and when i ask they treat me so bad like i'm stupid? i meanโ sorry if i don't know what these damn acronyms means. can someone please make this easier or at least give me some damn instructions ??
God is always so good to me. Forever grateful.

whenever you feel like you're not doing enough, remember all the little healthy habits you've successfully incorporated into your routine and remember that good things happen little by little.
gentle reminder don't focus on how your body looks, instead think about how healthy you are, how strong your body is and what it can do.
Do you have any tips to focus for a longer period of time?
i'm definitely not the best person to ask for advice on how to lock in and focus on studying (i'm a serial procrastinator), but i have some tips to share too.
always make sure you have met your needs: slept enough, eaten enough and are hydrated. concentrating when you are not in good shape is almost impossible.
change the scenario: in desperate moments i go to the library because i get distracted much less there than in my room. if you don't have the opportunity to go somewhere else, try to remove all possible distractions. remove everything you don't need from your desk, throw away your phone, disable notifications, silence/delete all non-study-related apps.
approach the subject as a global conversation, rather than by individual topics. make connections, associations, draw maps that help you visualize what you are doing. making studying interactive and dynamic keeps attention span higher.
find a method that allows you to absorb the greatest amount of information in the shortest time possible. for me, for example, it's listening: from podcasts to videos on yt, listening and repeating are the ways i learn fastest.
don't stress. if you see that it's not your day, forget it, you'll only end up frustrated and in burnout. as an alternative, try doing some sport, a walk, something that moves your body, absolutely NOT social media. you will end up even more guilty and tired than before.
hope this was helpful ๐
I failed an important exam last year and now that I'm going to give it a try again in one month, I'm so scared... scared to fail it again despite all the work I've put into. I don't know why but I can't bring myself to believe that everything is going to be okay... Any advices...?
failing, unfortunately, is part of our growth process and i think that many institutions (especially school) consider failure as something shameful, something that must be punished. yet it is only by making mistakes that we really learn things. it's so paradoxical to be scared of failure, because failure is inevitable, it's part of life, we should accept it, feel good about it, yet society doesn't let us do it, it just makes us feel guilty, like we're wasting time, like we weren't enough. it is not so. we are doing everything right, even if we make mistakes sometimes.
