Id Be Sorry If Id Hurt You But We Both Know I Didnt Do That
“I’d be sorry if I’d hurt you but we both know I didn’t do that”
I think this is the worst one of all, mainly because, horrifyingly, he's being 100% honest. He's not trying to manipulate anyone, he genuinely believes that his actions did not hurt Stella emotionally in any way. Such is his inability to empathies that he can't register that Stella's upbringing would make her extremely dependent on approval from the Ars Goetia.
It actually makes a lot of sense if you look at how they're early childhoods would've differed. Stella was born (laid?) to eventually become a wife and mother, Stol-ass on the other hand, while still planned to become a father, was primarily to control his own legions and have a specific role in the nobility. Up until Paimon told him he's engaged, he likely had no idea he'd have any responsibilities in life other than commanding others, while his behavior definitely stems from nature (in more ways than one), his nurture actually makes his villainous actions that much more logical and compelling to watch... If only his villainy was taken seriously.
This is literally Stol-ass' enitre character:

This too.
“I’d be sorry if I’d hurt you but we both know I didn’t do that”
“Cheating implies there was a betrayal!”
“I’m glad you aren’t upset! I know you can handle any stupid joke a clown can make”

O yeah I know it's been a couple months but since I reblogged the post again:
0, 1, and 9 for Kevin
3, 5, and 8 for Roy
Kevin
----
0- The background changes for his nervous breakdowns, art style shifts are always a pleasant surprise to me, especially when their associated with a specific character.
1- It's simple but effective. He manages to have the vibe of someone who (when Skid and Pump aren't around) generally enjoys his job without really being passionate about it. And I just plain love his little floof.
9- This poor bastard needs someone in his life and given who he's usually shipped with, I'd say their pretty good. The only one I take issue with is him and Lila since Kevin feels like a guy in his mid twenties, roughly ten years younger than Lila.
----
Roy (thank you so much for asking about him, I have so much brainrot of him)
----
3- The scene with his parents and him then giving the candy to Rob for his sister. It just does so much for all the characters and is the first major scene for Roy's arc, it's also more wholesome than a lot of the "individual" scene endings in both TT and past episodes.
5- Like Pump, he has some residual effects left over from his encounter with Eyes making him sensitive to supernatural energy. We might see this in a scene where Carmen and Richard come home from a "late meeting".
8- Roy's sensitive about his weight but in a very complex way. He was picked on for it when he was little, but Carmen would always console him, having been a heavier kid herself. The only issue is the same assurances also came from *you know who*, which left Roy feeling very conflicted. If someone makes a dig at him over it he would usually stand up for himself, but for a while after The Stars he would just kind of glaze over while Ross and Robert whooped a bitch.

Happy to see this game resurrecting.
What do u mean not the best picture of satan
Sorry for the late answer. What I meant was that Wrath seems to be the most chaotic and naturally harsh ring, let's not forget the scene in Western Energy where a gang jump Moxxie for wearing the same hat as their leader. If the rings are a reflection of their Sins, that implies Satan will likely be closer to Mammon than Asmodeus or Beelzebub.
That and Stella and Mammon getting together, Mam and Via's love and support giving Stella the confidence to take Stol-ass to task. He, of course, can't make any legitimate counterpoints and loses everything.
I can think of no better punishment for a scumbag who lords his power over others while painting himself as powerless, than for two of his victims to transcend him in status and leave him genuinely powerless to avoid the consequences of his own shitty actions.
For me Mammons mid season musical special is the peak of the show and the finale for me. After this point it’s all downhill. I like to think Ozzie gifts Blitzø a crystal offscreen and sets him free.
The end
I am officially at 100 followers! While this isn't as big a deal to me as it would be to some others, it's still significant enough that I wanted to share it and thank all the people from the fandoms I've touched on who have made this possible. You're all bloody legends!
While I fully support the Golden Goose ship and am happy about how many people support it's functionality as well, one thing did catch my attention: no one really talks about why these two would like each other and why they are so perfect together. This aspect is simply taken for granted. It feels so right yet it's so hard to articulate WHY it works. So, maybe you'd use your writing talent to elaborate on that? :)
I've been pondering this for a while and I have indeed found it extremely hard to properly articulate.
If I had to narrow it down, though, I would say it's that they both have bombastic personalities, by nature and as a result of their lives up until this point.
Stella was only born to eventually become a wife and mother, and the man she was forced to marry fucked it all up for her. No one's ever valued Stella as just Stella, it's always been about some role.
Mammon, on the other hand, sees everything through the lens of value, meaning he already has a rather small dating pool. Not to mention the prospect of gold-diggers and centuries of being married to the job.
Their chemistry comes from the fact that Stella feels like someone whose presence Mam would enjoy and who he could trust to not just be after his wallet and actually be interested in him. While Mammon having fun with Stella and genuinely wanting to spend time with her would do wonders for her self-worth.
As I've said in an earlier post, they deserve better and they deserve it with each other. The very premises of their characters essentially entitle them to nuance that the writing denies them, and even then, they're both still awesome and rightfully popular in the fandom.
I would love to do a Golden Goose fic, but I've yet to make an ao3 account despite deciding to do so over 3 months ago. The earliest I could see myself finishing a hypothetical chapter 1 would be mid-to-late January, time is a bit tight for me at the moment.
