Church of Fyodor

Fyodor runs a church. Anyone can enter as long as they have a hat like his and a (full) bottle of vodka. Offerings are presented to him (mostly alcohol) if anyone disrespects the church then Nikolai will know. Don’t ask questions, he just knows and will find you.

The fact that a communist party in the United States has never used the motto "Putting the 'us' in USA" is a missed opportunity imo

Comrades, Badger Calls You To A Revolution, How Do You Respond !

Whenever I'm studying Marxism (and that's quite a lot of times actually) I remember Marx's idea that Revolution can only take form through hate.

Of course, I know now it's a very specific form of hate and that it's pointed to a specific community of people but when I started learning about it, I often found myself rebelling at the notion of hatred as a conductive to Revolution.

I thought hate was too volatile, too savage to be trustworthy but as I grow older and see the world as it is I see myself tasting that hate — and it's hard to actually put into words but this hatred is not ugly and unpredictable.

This hatred is actually quite beautiful, it's not a firing blaze scorching down the earth but a burning fire cleansing a wound, it's born out of indignation and love for humankind. It's there because I love humanity so much I can't help but feel the indignation for what happens to us to my very core and I can't help but turn this into anger, into hatred against those I know are responsible for this.

I really think Marx was onto something with this besides the whole political and economic points he usually made.

My TikTok has decided against my will that I'm a young American voter and can't stop sending me Kamala Harris election propaganda...

I need to go back to communist/socialist TikTok ASAP

Because if I don't I might start sharing my opinions on the lib feminism and weaponized racial identification to masquerade genocidal agendas and I'm too lazy to deal with the backlash even if I do have a small account

Can we talk about how Santo (Saint) is basically abused and manipulated??? Like... He's gaslighted and manipulated all the time by the father priest. And his mother loves him very much but she only cares about him being a saint. It's sad to see he always seems so lost and lonely.

The Industrial Revolution of the 1800s saw a boom in manufacturing and technological achievement. Products as diverse as car parts to cleaning supplies were being assembled, built, woven, or otherwise created on a scale never before seen. But this renaissance required workers - lots of them. In capitalist countries in the West, business tycoons made profit off of the cheap labor of thousands of men, women and children. Most of them worked up to 16 hours a day, in insanely dangerous conditions. But where there is oppression there is resistance, and in the 1880s, worker’s unions across the United States began to fight for their rights.

Many members of the movement at this time were communists and anarchists, who believed that the capitalist system exploited members of the working class. They demonstrated for an 8-hour day, as well as better wages and working conditions.

In 1886, in the first days of May, thousands of Chicago’s working class went on strike.  In Haymarket Square, a meeting of up to 3,000 radicals gathered to protest the conditions they worked in. When the Chicago police came to disperse the demonstrators, someone threw a bomb. At least 8 people died, and more than a hundred were wounded.

Three years later, in commemoration of what was called the Haymarket affair, the International Socialist Conference declared May first an international holiday for the world’s workers. The Federation of Organized Trades and Labor Unions (now know as the American Federation of Labor) declared that “eight hours shall now constitute a legal day’s labor.”

But the US no longer celebrates Labor Day on May first, or May Day. During the Cold War, May first became associated with the socialist and communist movements that it had been born from. President Eisenhower signed a resolution renaming May Day as ‘Loyalty Day’, a holiday dedicated to American patriotism. We now celebrate Labor Day on September second.

But hey, in recognition of global celebrations and the industrious working class, here’s a shout out to May Day. Equality and vacation days for all!

What. Yeah I mean this is technically true. They gave you "housing" (uninsulated shack leaning on the side of a building that you share with 4 other guys) and assigned you a "job" (extremely dangerous factory work where you will have your hand eaten by a machine, and then be shot in the head in front of your coworkers for not meeting your production quota by secret police workers who need to meet their shooting-people-in-the-head quota)

Oh not to mention the millions of deaths of Ukrainians and other Soviet minorities for basically no reason, mass starvation, slave labour in gulags, execution without trial, etc. Super based, guys.

Like did you not pay attention in high school history class. This is high school level history.

Cable St Mural (detail) - Dave Binnington Savage, Paul Butler, Ray Walker and Desmond Rochfort

The Battle of Cable Street took place on Sunday 4 October 1936 in Cable Street, as a result of a march by the British Union of Fascists led by Oswald Mosley. Anti-fascist protesters, including local Jewish, socialist, anarchist, Irish and communist groups, clashed with the Metropolitan Police, who attempted to remove the barricades erected to stop the march.

Hi!

Throughout this pandemic, I've read countless articles about the effects of COVID-19 on people's lives. However, these stories are too often written about the lives of the privileged-- the struggles of working from home or the struggles of not being able to travel. This is not to say that their struggles are invalid; however, the stories of those most affected by the pandemic remain untold. I'd like to compile perspectives from essential workers and members of marginalized groups to counter the upper-middle-class narrative.

If you could, DM me your stories! I'll give you full credit, or you can remain anonymous.

I have recently started to become more ecologically conscious in my everyday life - eating out less, buying less, using more of the possessions I already own, etc... - and that includes shopping for clothes in second hand shops. And I am ASTONISHED at how many well kept, good quality pieces are simply lying around at some dim lit room downtown. Honestly, I urge everyone reading this to go to the worst rated second hand shop in their area. Avoid the trendy ones, go for the ones with 70 year old witches who'll smoke a whole pack inside the store in the hour you'll spend there. The true gems lie there.

Stay yourself, stay curious.
