people have made headcanons that Ellie, or Joel, finds a stuffed giraffe and she is obsessed with it. I absolutely love that headcanon! I started playing the game again to get all the achievements (I think we're almost there :)) and because of this, I've noticed more of the small background pieces. there's a giraffe plush that just shows up. I do not have any screenshots, but I can definitely go through and get them at some point!
the first one is when Joel and Tess are trying to find Robert. right before you go down an alley, there's a bulletin board with a bunch of wanted posters on it, right? there's a kid near it who's playing with a giraffe plush!
also when Ellie runs to that ranch, there's another one! obviously you can explore that house a bit, I think there's a bigger giraffe plush in one of the rooms. I don't remember which one, but it's a tall boy and it's next to a desk and window!
don't know if there's anymore for the first game because I haven't finished it yet, but there's also one in the second game! at least one. the weed house. right before Dina and Ellie find the basement, one of the shelves in the backrooms has a little giraffe plush on it!
I don't know why, but I love this little detail SO MUCH. will update if there's anymore :)

ASPD Cal hcs (its real guys...!)
When he isn't acting out of impulse (or when he isn't with andre lmfao), cal suffers from chronic bordem. Nothing entertains him at all. Whenever he gets bored, he goes out and shoplifts (shoplifting cal REAL)
cal likes to mess with rachel. not in a serious manipulating way, more just telling white lies and making up harmless shit and she believes it....most of the time (sometimes he'll say some outrageous shit and rachel will call him out 😭)
although as zero day does get closer, he hints at it and makes jokes (see previous post about the graveyard scene) rachel - who's used to cals jokes and lies and shit, passes it off as cal just being cal. she'll look back on this after zero day
cal is scarily good at lying and manipulating...most of the time. he can make you believe anything, until he gets too into it. He'll start saying some absolutely unbelievable shit that would make anyone turned off
cal SUCKS in social situations (example: the prom limo scene). he tries to make what he thinks are "normal" jokes but they really arent and everyone looks at him weird. when he's alone he thinks about it and gets pissed
related to the previous one, he isnt the best at masking. he tries his best to emulate rachel and other peoples behaviors but he fails most of the time. he finds trying to act normal "boring" and acts more on his own ideas and impulses
when cal was younger, he had an issue with setting things on fire. his parents had to take away all of his own lighters and hide the candle lighters on top of the fridge.
cal was diagnosed with a conduct disorder when he was 12 after being sent away to the psych ward
cal doesn't mask around andre cause he knows andre is as fucked up as him - he feels comfortable enough around him to just be himself, even if it makes andre pissed sometimes (poem scene)
cal gets obsessed with his exceptions,....he's only had one so far though
andre is cals exception. cal can feel a small amount of empathy for him, but its better than nothing.
cal is obsessed with andre. not in a cringe yandere way, but in a "i wanna live in your skin" kinda way. andre fucks with this heavily

ok so. I've been thinking. what if leia's "thing" is that she's imperceptible in the force. like, she's so innately powerful at shielding, she's just not there. Anakin didn't know padme was having twins because he literally couldn't sense leia's presence. yoda and obi-wan were fine with bail taking leia because they couldn't perceive her thoughts, even as an infant. neither reva nor vader could penetrate her mind. she spent years in the senate alongside palpatine and he had no idea she was force sensitive. the only person who can see leia for who she really is is the one who has been there from the beginning — luke.

I have LOTS of favorites but my absolute favorite might be that he kinda has cat like mannerisms. Examples of that being that he would curl up on a bed / couch to sleep:
He would look out a window and chirp at birds and bugs:
He would purr when you do something he likes / something that feels nice:
He would do the "night jitters" thing where he would get all energetic and stuff at night:
OH and also his tail, his spine would extend a little farther to make a tail (but i imagine that for some other sanses too) :0
I remember there being a reason why I thought this or finding it somewhere but I don't remember.
(this took a while to answer because i wanted to make little doodles for each of the things listed but i had to find motivation to draw, but i didnt want to take too long to find motivation and then i realized that the photos would make the post too long 😔)

Headcanon about Ink that I got.
Ink has Chromesthesia ( sound-to-color synesthesia)
So when some people talk he just sees colours. and maybe that causes him to hang out with specific people more :D because he just wants to see them talk.
This has the result that Ink sometime sjust doens't listen to what you say but which colours you make appear.
I imagine he has so many paintings/drawings of people surrounded by just the colours they speak <3

goddd i just want spider-man's identity to be his own worst but new york city's best kept secret. like i want him unthinkingly taking off his mask and like 20 people see, but if you ask them if they did? no they didn't.
the rule is unwritten, but very enforced. like, there are online communities dedicated to erasing any trace of the spread of his identity. a tourist takes a photo of him and posts it online? it's gone in minutes, and people send DMs to the poster anywhere from "hey, i'm sure you were just excited, but...." to "ill kill u if i evr c you, fuckin bitch".
any information on spider-man is only spread via word of mouth, and only spoken in hushed, awed voices. after several years of spider-man, everyone knows someone who encountered him:
"he saved my cousin. caught a falling billboard from underneath with his bare hands..."
"wow... i've never seen him myself, but he talked to my coworker's daughter for an hour after he stopped a guy from getting a little too handsy. apparently, his smile is 'dreamy'."
these secrets are freely given if you're kind, trustworthy, and show respect for the little guy. but the moment you demand information on him... "i don't know what you're talking about, buddy. he's just an urban legend the news likes to blame the city's problems on so we don't unionize or worse"
so as many times as spider-man ends up with out a mask, or accidentally introduces himself with a name that starts with 'p' and rhymes with 'meter'... on the record, they don't know a thing. because he does his best to help as many people as he can, so it's only fair if they help him a little in return.
I found out recently about how in mythology Aries/Mars is the literal father of Phobos and Deimos. Now I can't get wholesome Mars out of my head with his precious sons.
Also with Mars being the literal god of war, he would absolutely lose it if Phobos or Deimos were injured in any way.
Sometimes, when your mama tells you that a hand sign means rock on, and that you should use it whenever you do something really cool, she might just have a private joke she ain't sharin' with you just yet. :)

Ghosts Tell Me

Ghosts gather near the place where something bad is going to happen,
Danny with his ghost sense tends to notice before anyone else and tends to react outwardly before the danger even happens, gaining a reputation of seeing the future,
Ghosts also tell Danny things, causing Danny to know more about situations and the people around him, it comes of as suspicious.

Danny pulling away a snack from his coworker: "Careful your allergic to these ingredients!"
Coworker: "How the hell...I've never mentioned that to anyone."

Danny on a phone call with his friends while doing his nightly walks in Gotham: "Yeah so apparently the second Robin who is now Red Hood has very personal beef with the clown here cuz he got killed by him after being sold out by his bio mom, which really sucks for the poor guy."
Oracle who has been keeping an Eye on Danny cuz he's very suspicious from an outsiders pov: "Hey B, I think we have a problem."
