I’m vending at a LARP convention this weekend. By my last count, in the last week I have laser-cut, stained, and formed 18 masks for it, including 3 new designs I made in that time. Also in that time I finished up and shipped out the last two dragon tails on my commission queue, plus made and shipped out a couple small piles of horned crowns from a big bulk order that someone ordered, with quite a few more on the way. In addition to my day job working for an architect, where we’re starting two new renovation projects and a furniture/cabinetry concept.
So yeah. I’ve been busy. Photo shows the masks that are currently done from this pile. The rest are drying overnight, all perched carefully in different scattered areas of my room. It’s a terrible mess, but I’m happy about it right now.
Now that I only have one confirmed project left on my commission queue, I plan to open up for new orders next week! Stay tuned!

Day 21: Bad Dog

El Chupacabra is a cryptid first reported in 1995 in Puerto Rico. Despite their name translating to “goat-sucker,” the cryptid is known to feast on all types of farm animals.
My friend is kind of an asshole and thinks that guys and girls can’t be friends. He says the only reason we’re just friends is because I won’t put pity sex on the table (and I won’t, but he’s holding out hope 😂). On the real though he said Brenton’s behavior is “familiar” in the way he speaks and blushes about/around her. He thinks them working closely together could be a factor and if something were going on romantically between them he could probably easily mask it with the shared friendship between Anna and his sister. Likewise, if there was something romantic going on with Anna and his sister it could be masked by his friendship with Anna. I guess it’s plausible, but we’ll probably never know (and it’s not my business 👀 🤷🏻♂️
eh I’ve had plenty of guy friends that are just that, friends. some did develop a crush and I didn’t see them that way and now we’re unfortunately not friends. So I could see why your friend can think like that. But at the same time men, if the woman simply does not want you get over it. it’s not the end of the world.

I could shout it from the rooftops: I LOVE MEDIUM FORMAT! And, boy!, eversince the Adox desintegrated before my eyes I have been feeling less drawn to pick up a camera at all.
BUT! But I have bought a Flexaret Automat and now even a scanner that does negatives ... so be forewarned, I might just make this posting stuff a steady habit again.
Without further ado: here’s the mostest fan-damn-tasticest shot I took with the Flexaret, right after attaching back to it an improvised lever with which to adjust exposure times. It’s of my parent’s cellar, where my dad keeps all the doodads and whatnots that help a buffoon like me repair a Flexaret. Heart emojis all around!
