This is a great setup but it really deserves some expanding, particularly on Marinette’s and other Paris based heroes POVs for the drama and angst of it all. Getting some insight about what Adrien has been up to since leaving Paris, be it Gotham or even as a Justice League asset of some kind. Someone should get on it!

Loved the last one!! I ended up going through all of your other ML stories and noticed there wasn't much Adrien love. So what if? Adrien ends up meeting Catwoman who is hunting for jewels and ends up meeting Adrien who is feeling left out & more like a side kick w/ each fight. Catwoman meets him and takes him back w/ her to US. Points if Bruce finds out while as the Bat and ends up helping her legally adopt him. LB gets lectured harshly thx to Cat and Bat family when she tries to bring him back.

Hi again! thanks for waiting, hope you like it!

Adrien wasn't sure what to do anymore. When all this started, he was so secure in his role as Chat Noir. Him and his lady fighting side by side. Them against the world. It was great for a while. But lately things were different. At first, it was only every once and a while that Ladybug brought in the other heroes. Rena and Carapace were great and a big help. But then there were more and more heroes. But Adrien was still ok. Sure, he preferred it to be just him and Ladybug, just like old times. But these other heroes were awesome, and he was still the first one Ladybug called. But lately, she had been going to these other heroes first more and more. Now he didn't feel like Ladybug's partner and equal anymore. He felt like he was just another temp hero that she would call IF he was needed. And Adrien wasn't sure what to do about it.

There had been another battle today. Not that Adrien had known until after. Ladybug had gathered the temp heroes and ended the fight before Adrien even knew there was an attack. He only found out when he saw it on the news later that night. Even though he knew what he would find, he transformed and checked his messages to see if Ladybug had even called him. She hadn't. She hadn't felt the need to call him at all. This had been going on for a while, but it didn't make it hurt any less to see his empty inbox.

Deciding he needed to get out some pent up energy, he decided to do his own patrol tonight. He had long since stopped being scheduled for patrols, the temp heroes and Ladybug taking care of it. It had seemed fine at the time when Ladybug explained. 'You have told me before you have a hard time moving freely as a civilian. This way, you don't need to worry about getting away. We can handle it!'

Logically, he knew that his lady had been trying to be considerate, even if it wasn't the right way to handle it. She hadn't meant to be malicious. But it still felt like he was being left behind. All he had ever wanted was friends, and with his father practically ignoring him now, he felt alone more than ever. His father hadn't even noticed that he had moved out of the mansion and gotten his own apartment.

But his father had never been terribly attentive, so that was nothing new. And he always could talk to Ladybug about it, if he needed too. But now he was growing distant from one of his closest friends, who had started ignoring him too. So, now transformed as Chat Noir, he left his bedroom and started moving around the rooftops of Paris. He sat down on a roof overlooking the entrance to the louvre, and just thought about everything, sitting in a miserable silence. He knew at this point of the night, whoever was doing patrol should be on the other side of the city. So he was surprised to hear footsteps behind him.

He whips around, baton in hand, expecting an akuma. Instead there is a woman standing behind him in a black leather body suit and cat ears on her head. Chat didn't know what to make of this woman, but she looked too normal to be an akuma. Aside from the costume, she was completely normal.

To her credit, Selina recovered from the shock of seeing someone dressed almost exactly like her on a near inaccessible roof pretty quickly. She had come to try and get her hands on the valuable jewels that were kept in the louvre. But now this boy had her interest. "Hello there little kitten. What are you doing up here by yourself. Imitation may be good flattery, but I'm not a big fan of copy cats." That is when she recognized this boy from the news. He wasn't some sneak thief trying to copy her. He was a local super hero, and was very famous in the city. Guess her plan would have to wait for another night, or at least until later.

"Now why would one of Paris' heroes be up here all by himself? On patrol? Though I thought you lot worked in pairs?" Adrien wasn't sure why, but he felt comfortable with this woman. He couldn't explain it, seeing as he could surmise that she was up to no good, but she had an almost maternal air to her. Adrien simply scoffed, "I'm not sure I am one of the city's heroes anymore. Ladybug surely hasn't been treating me like her partner lately."

Selina had always been one for gossip. Couple that with the fact that this boy looked miserable and she had this strange protective instinct towards him and she wanted to know everything. "Do you want to talk about it kitten?" And that was all it took. Someone finally asking about him. Finally checking on him, for the damn to break. Adrien actually started crying as he told the mysterious woman everything. With each passing word, Selina grew more and more angry. But she tapered it down for now. The last thing she needed was that idiot Hawkmoth further ruining the night.

After Adrien was done, it was clear to Selina that he needed a break. From his horrible father, his partner who was ignoring him good intentions or not, and from Paris as a whole. So she offered a suggestion. She told him that she was only in town until morning, then she would return to Gotham. She invited him to come with her. Revealing herself to be Catwoman, Selina Kyle, and having connections to the Bat family, he could come back with her to Gotham.

There he could forget about Paris for a bit, or even forget it completely, and she and the bats could help train him up a bit and make him a better fighter. He was reluctant, so she simply told him to meet her at the airport at Bruce's private plane by 8:00 if he wanted to come. With that, Selina left. The jewels could wait until her next visit. In the morning, she waited by the private jet, until it was almost time to leave. Just as she thought he wasn't going to come, Adrien arrived, running to meet her. Without another word, they boarded the plane and Adrien's adventure began.

When they arrived in Gotham, Bruce and Alfred were waiting for them. She had explained the situation to them last night, and to expect another guest when she got back. To say the bats were livid about this boy's treatment would be an understatement. They welcomed the boy with open arms and got him settled in at the manor. Seeing how Selina cared for the boy, Bruce put her in contact with his attorney that processed his adoptions in the past. While Adrien's father may be alive, seeing as Mr. Agreste hadn't noticed his son had been living on his own in Paris and still hadn't noticed when his son left Paris all together, the attorney was able to make the case that Mr. Agreste was an unfit father and got the adoption pushed through. Adrien was growing accustomed to life in Gotham, even having started helping the Bat Family with their super hero work. He wasn't sure he ever wanted to go back to Paris.

It made big news in Paris when Adrien Agreste left his father and got adopted in Gotham. Meanwhile, Marinette had been looking all over for Chat. He hadn't answered his messages in a while. Sure they had been a bit distant lately, but this is nuts. So when Marinette saw pictures of a new cat themed hero in Gotham, she put two and two together. Sure, this new cat hero looked a bit different, Adrien having changed his appearance to try and avoid suspicion, but Marinette wasn't dumb. She could tell it was Chat. Wondering why he was in Gotham and not here in Paris where he belonged, Marinette used the horse miraculous and went to Gotham. There, she waited on a roof until she spotted the Bat Family, Catwoman, and who she was sure was Chat on a roof, talking. She made her way over and called out to her partner.

"Chat! There you are! I've been looking all over for you. What are you doing here? I've needed you back in Paris, but you haven't answered my messages!" Everyone turned to look at her, and just based off her costume, they knew exactly who she was. She was the person that had been ignoring Adrien and now she wanted to act like this? They just glared at her as the one Marinette knew as Catwoman responded, moving in front of Adrien. "You sure haven't needed him in a while. So he went somewhere he would be appreciated. Now why don't you just leave him alone. He has a new family now."

Marinette was stunned. She had expected Chat to smile at her like he always did, crack some lame joke about his absence, and come back to Paris with her. But that didn't happen. Instead he stared at her with an apathetic look before saying, "You and the others had a handle on things. You haven't needed me for a while. As a matter of fact, you ignored me for a long time. We were supposed to be partners, but you haven't treated me like a partner in a while. Just a sidekick, and not even a sidekick you needed. So I left, and I have found where I belong. You should go." Marinette tried to defend herself, to argue against his statement, but nothing worked. The rest of the heroes in front of her joined Chat in lecturing her and telling her to leave.

She tried one last time, hoping to get him to come back. "Chat please, I need you! I will always need you." Chat just scoffed, "You haven't needed me in a very long time. And now, I don't need you. I have new friends who don't ignore me until it is convenient. Goodbye milady. Please don't come back." With that, the crowd of heroes left, leaving Marinette standing there, wondering what she had done.

Whenever I feel sad I like to think about the batfamily on TikTok or really any social media platforms. Because the batfamily is famous like and I like to think that people have made edits about them and that people make edits about them. I just like to think one of the batkids finding an edit of Bruce and screaming in horror or finding one of themselves. It would be funny and it would be different depending on who it is. For example of Bruce is in a interview and someone brings it up and he says that yes he does know that people make edits of him and that he found out after one of his kids threw their phone screaming. I think it would be funny if they make little videos dancing or just going around their house or just talking in their rooms telling people about their day. It's just cute thoughts that pop up in my head and I can't remember who made the idea but if anyone finds them please tell me.

Hey, So, Is It Just Me, Or Does That Actually Look Like Selena Disguising Herself As Ecco/Harley? Her

Hey, so, is it just me, or does that actually look like Selena disguising herself as Ecco/Harley? Her hair looks curly and like it’s shaped more like Selena’s than Ecco’s is in the other scenes in the new trailer. And I’m not actually the best with faces, but I’m pretty sure the nose looks more like Selena’s than Ecco’s--the latter’s nose is sharper and narrower.

Theory: Camren said at NY Comic Con that Selena would be coming after Jeremiah for shooting and paralyzing her. Perhaps she disguises herself as Ecco in order to get close to him? It would be easy if Ecco takes to wearing that mask; in that case, Selena’s getting discovered and her plan is going very much awry in this scene.

Alternate theory: as Jeremiah slips further into madness, he gets paranoid. He know Selena’s coming after him, and so he starts seeing her face everywhere--even in place of Ecco’s. This could also be why he’s strangling Ecco in that other scene in the trailer.

It’s possible I’m wrong, but that looks like Selena to me.

I think I also want to explain my big bias about romance in epics: a heavily opinionated thread

Keep in mind, I’m not trying to throw shade at any indie creators who do this, just trying to explain my style and why

I really don’t like “Star-Crossed” Lovers and “Love interest to be built up and killed off” tropes. Not sure I ever did honesty.

I get why they work, they just don’t work for me. Unless like Peter Parker they get another chance again.

And three franchises were the final straw for me, and what drove me to go indie along with being inspired by indie works of others

First it was RWBY the tragic end of Arkos and what I feared to be sane of Black Sun among others along with the doomed fate of Oscar Pine

I tried to express my distaste of it on tumblr on my past accounts and RWBY wiki discussion forum(big mistake, I know) and I regretted it so much

I Think I Also Want To Explain My Big Bias About Romance In Epics: A Heavily Opinionated Thread

Never had I met a fanbase so arrogant, self righteous, and sanctimonious about this kind of stuff, going on how amazing these tropes and dark stories like RWBY initially seemed circa V3-Finale along with Madoka Magica and Akame Ga Kill were and sneering at anything even one shade lighter than that

They were either passive-aggressively judging and gaslighting me, or outright lecturing me

How a epic story that has Dork knight and a lonely warrior woman isolated by society crushing on him,  or a unlucky moody girl and sunshine himbo, a doomed hero having a well earned happy ending, especially if it involved resurrection as a good thing was nothing but “pandering”, petty, and worthless and the preference of the weak and cowardly

Even one fan said “people don’t find that interesting, sorry.” And that another fan seemed to stated characters like Pyrrha and Jaune are only fit for tragic endings because “that’s the kind of character she is” both of which these fans spoke as these things were gospel, or they themselves had some kind of storytelling authority

Then I heard about Superman and Lois Lane getting married and having a kid and even Bruce and Selena getting hitched, until hearing both marriages get trashed along with a few others

Along with the defense Dan Didio gave

It was absolutely MADDENING to me

"Heroes shouldn’t have happy personal lives. They are committed to being that person and committed to defending others at the sacrifice of their own personal interests.

That’s very important and something we reinforced. People in the Bat family their personal lives basically suck. Dick Grayson, Bruce Wayne, Tim Drake, Barbara Gordon and Kathy Kane. It’s wonderful that they try to establish personal lives, but it’s equally important that they set them aside. That is our mandate, that is our edict and that is our stand."

Like, these guys want to hopeful, but only in certain ways the pop-culture/literary ‘intellectuals’ deem acceptable as well as what they deem to be ‘interesting’ and what I had in mind did not only not qualify, it was seen as outright heresy

When I brought this up in my grievances with stories like RWBY, one holier-that-thou jerk supported it because

“Single Batman and Superman sells well”

After writing my preferences off as “pandering” and only for the likes such as Disney and Marvel,

The Self-Centered hypocrisy was staggering because what he said and his many followers were basically saying this;

“We don’t like it when your niche interest stuff is forced into our stuff, but when the case is in the reverse? We’re totally cool with that, and we hope it keeps happening.”

other fans said what I wanted was only for sitcoms, imposing themselves as gatekeepers of *epic storytelling itself*

From where I was standing, there is a growing hatred of couples in epics go through and making it and even getting married and having children, especially those of certain dynamics all under the guise of “hopepunk” and “The Greater Good.” Or whatever the term is now

Prattled on by conceited fandoms who in my opinion, have become a bunch of literary snobs who think way too highly of themselves

Who go around deciding what ways are legitimate “raised stakes” and “consequences”,

both which might I add are defined by their *own* standards,

I Think I Also Want To Explain My Big Bias About Romance In Epics: A Heavily Opinionated Thread

along with their own preferences, especially fates for of certain kinds of ships and characters, which they flaunt as “objective” and above those of “the unwashed masses” in order to justify glorifying them as well as themselves for liking them

Which then afterwards these fandoms pressure these standards onto aspiring writers such as myself or be exiled to sitcoms, romcoms, Disney, or Marvel.

Because it’s not “entitlement” if it’s directed at the peasants I guess.

That along with the fact their so insecure and discontent with just being different, they need to feel superior than others for their own preferences

Nor they can’t handle the idea somewhere out there there is story that have characters like the those of the stories they enjoy, but with a different outcome

All epic fiction, its characters, its settings, its themes, its use of its inspirations, the creator’s style needs to begin and end on terms of these self-appointed arbiters who, once again, try to justify by presenting their preferences, tastes, and “personal emotional beats” as objective and superior

And once again: I’m *NOT* saying creators who goes with the tragic romance route are bad or malicious, most of them are just doing their thing

This problem lies with sycophantic individuals among fandoms who appoint their chosen champion’s ways as law and act offended on their behalf, even though they never spoken to these creators personally nor did these creators asked them to pick up a sword in their name and are not held accountable for their behavior

And what’s worse, is that these groups imply epic stories where heroic couples get married and have families are allegedly incompatible outside of Disney or Marvel or else it ends up as terrible story

Which they will imply is the case for stories like DragonBall Z, Sword Art Online, and Naruto/Boruto

But when *their* way of doing things ruins a franchise like DC comics and people complain about it?

It’s the whining of unwashed masses or vocal toxic minority opposed to the enlightened few or informed majority

I Think I Also Want To Explain My Big Bias About Romance In Epics: A Heavily Opinionated Thread

Because *their* way makes everything better and always will

It’s incredibly self absorbed and narcissistic

So that’s why I’ve been so keen on having my heroes find love, get married and having families. Especially ones who’ve been through so much sorrow.

I’m just weary of this and tired of fandoms telling me when I’m disappointed;

“It’s not for you” and implying “nothing should be for you and everything should be for us”

And I’m certain I’m not the only one who feels this way

You don’t have to share my personal tastes and distaste’s in story beats in epics, once again, I just want you guys to understand.

I got no goddam sleep last night, this is why

Backstory: Nyssa Wayne

Nyssa Wayne, who was once known as the vigilant and skilled shadow under Batman, harbored a secret connection to Bruce Wayne, they were related. Orphaned at a young age, she grew up unaware of her true lineage. Bruce, with his complicated family history, never knew of her existence either. Nyssa’s journey began when she was discovered by Bruce during one of his patrols. Impressed by her natural fighting ability and her unyielding spirit, he took her under his wing and trained her to be his protégé. As shadow, Nyssa formed a strong bond with the Bat-Family, especially with the first Robin now nightwing, Dick Grayson, and the second Robin, Jason Todd. She shared a deep, father-daughter relationship with Bruce, who instilled in her a strong moral code: they fought for justice, not as judge, jury, or executioner.

However, the rigid adherence to this morality led to tension. Nyssa’s desire for retribution against Gotham’s criminals clashed with Bruce’s principles. She felt that certain criminals, like the Joker, could never be redeemed and that the justice system often failed to protect the innocent. A heated confrontation drove a wedge between them, and feeling misunderstood and constrained, Nyssa faked her own death, leaving the Bat-Family in mourning. She disappeared for years, during which time she discovered that the Joker had brutally tortured and murdered Jason Todd. Consumed by a thirst for vengeance, Nyssa tracked down the Joker and executed him in cold blood. Only Selina Kyle, Catwoman, knew the truth and decided to take Nyssa under her wing. They developed a close mother-daughter bond as Selina trained her in the arts of stealth, combat, and survival.

During her time with Selina, Nyssa encountered Talia al-Ghul, the enigmatic daughter of Ra's al-Ghul and Bruce Wayne’s former lover. Talia recognized Nyssa’s potential and invited her to train with the League of Assassins. Within the League, Nyssa and Talia formed a close relationship, with Talia ultimately naming her the godmother of her son, Damian Wayne. Nyssa's world was shaken when Jason Todd was resurrected and brought to the League. Though he didn’t remember her, Nyssa’s memories of their bond as Robin and her feelings for him remained strong. They grew close once more and shared a night of passion, but Nyssa knew she couldn’t risk their relationship and left the League the next morning, breaking Jason’s heart.

Returning to Gotham, Nyssa resumed her work with Selina and adopted the villainous persona "True Justice." She soon learned that Jason had rejoined the Bat-Family as the Red Hood. He had been brought back into the fold and was struggling with his new identity. Meanwhile, the Bat-Family discovered Damian’s existence and brought him to Gotham, where he became the fifth Robin. The Bat-Family, now consisting of Alfred, Bruce, Dick, Barbara Gordon: Oracle, Jason, Tim Drake: Red Robin, Stephanie Brown: Spoiler, Cassandra Cain: Black Bat, Damian, and Duke Thomas: The Signal, continued their mission to protect Gotham.

Nyssa’s hidden identity was eventually uncovered by Dick Grayson. Their reunion was not immediate; it was a gradual process built on trust and understanding. Dick, who had always been like an older brother to Nyssa, was elated to find out she was alive. He initially confronted her in a dark alley, where he removed his mask, revealing his tear-stricken face. The sight of Dick’s raw emotions broke down Nyssa’s walls. They spent countless hours talking, reminiscing about the old times and discussing the paths they had taken. Dick was persistent, his compassion and wisdom breaking down Nyssa’s walls. Over time, through many late-night conversations and heartfelt discussions, Dick convinced Nyssa to reveal herself to the Bat-Family. Reluctantly, she agreed. Dick brought her to the Batcave, where the family’s reactions ranged from shock to relief. Bruce, seeing her alive, was overwhelmed with a mix of guilt and joy. Jason, hurt from their past encounter but relieved to see her, struggled with conflicting emotions. The others, each processing the news in their own way, welcomed her back into the fold with varying degrees of warmth and skepticism.

The reunion with Jason was particularly poignant. Jason had always been the rebellious one, and his resurrection had left him with scars both physical and emotional. When Nyssa had left the League of Assassins, she had done so to protect him, but her departure had unintentionally caused him great pain. When they first saw each other again, the silence between them was heavy with unspoken words. Jason approached her, his eyes a storm of emotions--anger, relief, confusion, and a lingering sense of betrayal. Nyssa found herself unable to look him in the eyes, the weight of her decisions pressing down on her. Jason finally broke the silence, his voice filled with hurt and anger as he demanded to know why she had left him without a word after the night they shared. Nyssa explained her reasons, her voice trembling as she expressed her regret and the deep pain she had felt knowing she had hurt him. Jason, still angry but relieved that she was alive and safe, struggled to reconcile his feelings. He wrapped her in a tight embrace, whispering that he never stopped loving her despite the pain she had caused. They realized that despite the hurt and the distance, their bond was still there, forged in the fires of their shared experiences. They decided to start anew, not as the people they once were, but as the individuals they had become.

Nyssa’s return marked a new chapter for the Bat-Family, one fraught with unresolved tensions but also the potential for reconciliation and renewed strength. Over time, Nyssa worked to rebuild her relationships with each member. She shared many heartfelt conversations with Bruce, where they addressed the pain of their separation and the different paths they had taken. With Jason, she navigated the rocky terrain of their past and found ways to support each other, recognizing their shared trauma and growth.

Nyssa also formed new bonds. She mentored Damian, drawing from her experiences to guide him through the complexities of being Robin and the legacy of their family. Damian remembered who she was, having always looked up to her as a sister and aunt figure. The two of them shared a love for art and animals, often spending time together sketching or visiting animal shelters. With Tim Drake, she discovered a kindred spirit in their analytical approaches and shared a mutual respect for each other's skills. Stephanie Brown and Cassandra Cain became close allies, and together, they tackled many challenges, often leaning on each other for support and camaraderie.

In time, Nyssa found her place within the Bat-Family once more. She became a symbol of resilience and redemption, proving that even the most strained relationships could heal and evolve. Her journey was a testament to the power of forgiveness, the strength of family, and the enduring hope that justice could prevail, even in the darkest of times.
