I’m curious, if jason never died/had that confrontation would the joker, how do you guys his canon story would have evolved? or how would you have liked it to?

I think even though the whole garzonas debacle was inserted to discredit jason’s character/make people like him less, he definitely already didn’t see eye to eye with bruce on lethal methods in such cases. would that have continued to fester until he eventually split paths from batman like dick did? and if he did, where would he have gone? I think there’s definitely the idea that tim’s titans team would or could have been jason’s if he didn’t die, but he also didn’t have many connections in the first place with other super hero sidekicks.

I really would have liked to see where he would have gone to train with if he lived! would eddie and him have been a duo team? like I want to see who he would have become if not the red hood! I think red hood is so interesting and a great character to have in relation to others in the batman stories, but jason was already an interesting character before he died with unique experiences that bruce, alfred, and dick couldn’t relate to and his story would have added just as much fun and amazingness to the narrative OKAY

Uncle Scarecrow Au

Essentially, in this AU thing, Maddie, and Jonathan Crane are cousins (their moms were sisters) that often see eachother when Maddie's family visits Georgia before contact was cut due to Grandma Marion and Great-Grandma Keeny

Jonathan and Maddie managed to reconnect for a year or two through letters when Maddie started college and Jonny boy is in the middle of getting his doctorate but lost contact after Maddie got busier with studies and Jonathan went to Gotham. They're on good terms with each other and once in a while in recent years, they'd give each other updates (and gifts. Danny and Jazz grew up hearing a bit from/about Jonathan when they were younger but stopped hearing about him around the time when he became the Scarecrow. So, let's just say when Danny's... 6? Ngl, DC timeline is messy and confusing at times)

Maddie and Jack only recently learned that Danny's a halfa, the ghost king at that, and accepts it. They start helping him wrangle up some of the rogue ghosts and throw them back to the GZ when not even a week later, the GIW started swarming Amity Park immediately.

This causes the Fenton Family to escape (though not unscathed) and end up going to Gotham, not just cause Jazz is studying there, or the fact that there's enough ambient ectoplasm energy there to cover up Danny's signature, but because Jack's apparently from there, has connections too, while Maddie knows that Jonathan could help. She's his favorite cousin after all and adores Danny and Jazz from the bits and pieces she sent him about them.

"Madeline," The man in the burlap mask nodded to her.

"Jonathan," she nodded back.

Danny can't help but feel tense and wary as he stares down at the tall figure in front of him. This was Uncle Jonathan? Don't tell him he's as big of a fruitloop as Vlad.

Maddie stares at him before raising an eyebrow, "I see you still aren't taking care of yourself as you should, huh, Jonny?"

He scoffs, southern accent becoming a bit more prominent as he spoke, "like you're anyone to talk about habits, Maddie. Intellect may run in our blood but having normal, sane habits aren't. Don't you remember Great-Grandma Mary?"

The two burst out into some chuckles.

"Glad you're still alive and well, then, cousin," Maddie says, taking the hood of her jumpsuit off along with her goggles.

"Likewise," Jonathan replies, taking his ratty hat and burlap mask off revealing a sharp, gaunt face with a long, hook nose, pale blue eyes, and rusty auburn-colored, bordering brown, hair, "Now, what's this about a government branch coming for little Danny, and how... Sensitive are you to gore and other graphic imagery of sorts?"

"I mean, I already died and have to fight ghosts-..." Danny piped up immediately, only to shut his mouth up just as quickly.

"... Remind me to set up a proper therapy session for you later, child."

So as you said in your (amazing and very interesting) post that if anyone ever laid a hand on Nega-Black Heron, nothing would stop Nega-Beakley from killing that person, what if one day on one of their little encounters, Nega-Beakley saw that Nega-Black Heron was pregnant, would she take her wrath out on the person who got her pregnant?

So, I got this kind of ask several times, I'm sorry I took that long to answer.

NegaBeakley's possessive behavior towards her grew with time, so it highly depends on which point in the timeline this would happen. For example, when FOWL was still around as an organization, either they didn't even know each other or Beakley still didn't care that much about her. After all, NegaHeron was already killed in that explosion, wasn't she?

But years or even decades later? NegaBeakley would be completely furious Heron had even thought about being with anyone else, no matter for how brief. Internally, she'd be kinda exasperated that she had decided to come fight her in that state too.

Just how bad does that idiot want to die??

Not that she would ever say it out loud tho.

She would probably keep Heron locked for longer from then on before giving her a chance to escape. Because, sure, NegaBeakley loves that little vicious game the two of them have, but she loves even more being sure that NegaHeron comes back to her at the end of the day.

And whoever is the other parent, they better pray she never learns who they are. NO ONE touches what's hers and gets away with it. And she's not known for being specially merciful. How torturously slow and painful she makes it depends exclusively on her mood and the situation.

But I can assure you, they're definitely NOT getting out of this alive

now that i’ve hit 13k+ and i’m barely ~40% done with this current big fic, i’m wondering if i should rethink how i upload

usually i end up dropping 10k+ fics in one big tumblr post which tumblr was really not designed to do. i was thinking maybe once i start posting this i could make a masterpost with all the chapters, and have it update periodically (one chapter per week, etc) as opposed to one big upload

and ofc it would also be crossposted to ao3 shortly after it drops on tumblr. in that case do y’all care if it’s in ao3 chapters or a oneshot?

So I noticed something… and I thought that it just might be because of the pacing but nope.

This is the time inbetween the end of Husk's talk with Alastor and his next appearance behind the bar looking as ok and husk as ever.

So in fictional time considering the fact that Mimzy is still there that's at max about imma say an hour and a half since Alastor scared him half to death. Even if he’s used to it, that’s still a hella quick bounce back.

just like Angel. Both him and Angel recover insanely quick and it breaks my heart.

I know that after you would have to put up with what they have to for so long over and over you grow numb and recover like a flash. In Angel’s case he literally fakes it till he makes it with Val, and Husk can simply hide his emotions with a grumpy face from Alastor’s outbursts.
