cosmic love in this club

(a thorki fanmix by brentofthefabulouswild) this particular fanmix was inspired by this AU idea i had where thor and loki are well-known partyphiles in the club scene but they ran in two very different social circles and they happened to meet in the city's newest and exclusive nightclub called "club asgard". naturally, intense sparks fly between them on the dance floor but some typical angsty drama happens between them before they can get their happy ending grinding underneath the strobe lights. the songs i've picked for this mix is basically the soundtrack of that AU idea--as if these were the very songs they would hear playing in club asgard every time they would meet. so if anyone is willing to pick up this crazy prompt to use for a long ass thorki slash fic, feel free to get creative! +++ "don't take me home till the sun comes up, till the sun comes up. right next to me, you wanna be till the sun comes up..." +++ 01 : finley quaye + william orbit + beth orton - "dice [layo + bushwacka! missing u mix]"

Break The Ice (A Skating!AU Thorki drabble)

There you are, and there he is. You are both in the same place, a swanky bar in some random Nordic city where you have both attended intense training for your respective disciplines before the next Winter Olympics. You are not, however, in the same league with him. Still, it was meant to be. Your hands sweat because you have had three too many and think, for one moment, "I can make him mine. All I need is an in. A conversation. And then he will see my heart and then he will not be able to say no." Or "nicht", or "non", or "nein", or "nyet", or whatever exotic language it is that he speaks with his infamous silver tongue. So you plot and you watch him. He seems coolly disinterested in everything and everyone as he nurses a glass of absinthe he has been sipping indifferently for the past hour. His eyes are like ice. You watch with some vindictive amusement as rival suitors dance up and walk sheepishly away as he refuses to even acknowledge their existence. But you are different: you have heart. And so you order another Jager Bomb to augment your courage and then make your move. He observes your approach with a frosty gaze and your feet start to feel cold, which is followed by your ankles, knees, thighs, and hips. By the time you reach him, he has completely frozen you. You are a block of ice. "Hi," you mumble at his direction through your chilled lips. You school your face in what you hope is a seductive and confident expression. He gives you a passive once-over before he turns to his flame-haired companion and says, "I think it's time to leave." You watch him go in a resplendent flurry of green leather and white fur that nicely complements his smooth porcelain skin and sleek raven hair. Unsurprisingly, his exit has effortlessly captured the attention of more than half the bar patrons, and your heart of gold has exploded into a 24-carat catastrophe. For a fleeting moment, you are completely devastated, but then you realize it is still meant to be. Because on the glossy mahogany surface of the bar where he previously positioned himself, you spot a napkin scrawled with the name of a hotel and a room number. Your smile widens when you recognize the unmistakable handwriting--the same one that has graced countless autographed pictures, one of which happens to be safely tucked in your wallet. As evidenced by Thor’s rather unorthodox (read: hella turnt up) display on live TV, grand romantic gestures are his forte. However, Loki rarely finds Thor’s romantic antics to be amusing. Secretly, it endears him but most of the time it’s quite frankly embarassing and Loki wishes he should have just killed Thor when he had the chance.

Loki. Thor has long conceded to this fact several millenia ago, and no amount of tutelage from Tony or even Natasha herself can change this.

Loki finds the concept of sending young children battling it out to the death absolutely fascinating, even if it was just a work of fiction. Naturally, he would consider nothing less than being a high-ranking citizen of the Capitol. Thor smiles at this until Loki declares that because he wields Mjolnir, Thor must remain in District 5 in order to provide electrical power to all of Panem.

Loki. That’s because he wants to have decent visibility should his enemies attack him during sleep and definitely not because he is afraid of the dark.

Thorki Headcanons/Prompts: Black Swan!AU

Rising dance ingenue Loki Laufeyson is appointed as the new principal performer in his independent yet highly prestigious dance company and is cast in the lead role of a radical, genderbent, modern dance version of Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake".

Loki is the considered as the most skilled dancer in the company; his graceful, sinuous lines and precise technique in mastering choreography make him the perfect choice to portray Oriel, the Swan King. However, he lacks the dark, intense, passionate, and aggressively sensual qualities necessary to portray his evil twin, Odilo, the Black Swan.

Enter Thor Odinson, a new member of the dance troupe who--while not as perfect in his dancing skills as Loki--naturally embodies all the deeply erotic and sexual qualities needed to correctly portray the Black Swan.
