(look, I've been listening to epic: the musical and I can't stop thinking about adult jaune seeing a baby cinder and struggling on whether he should kill her or not. So you all have to suffer now.)

Jaune didn't know how, nor did he care. As he found himself in a room in front of a baby's crib as he saw her. A sleeping baby with burning amber eyes staring at him. The eyes Jaune grew to know, and despise.

He unsheathed crocea mors as he raised it above his head. Blade pointing down, ready to be blunged and end it.

Jaune took a deep breath as after a minute he dropped his sword as it hit the wooden floor. Jaune fell to his knees as he looked at the child. He knew what she would become but-

Jaune: I can't hurt you.. but I want to so badly..

Jaune looked at the baby as he carefully reached in, the infant grasping his finger as she giggled. Jaune almost smiled at the sound as he thought back to a brighter memory.

Jaune laid in bed as he held Ruby close with the red reaper clutching their 5 year old son.

Jaune: he's so.. peaceful, just years ago he was crying his head off.

Ruby: well it's not like a lot can't happen between being 9 months old to 5 years.. makes you remember how much time there is in life.

Jaune: yeah..

Jaune brought a hand towards their son as he combed it through his hair. It was pitch black, with red peppering it.

The young boy stirred slightly as he shoved his head in closer. With Jaune having a warm smile.

Jaune: he's going to be a great man.. I can already tell.

Ruby: well, his parents are two huntsmen sooo..

Jaune: id more say his parents are a novice huntsman and exceptional huntress but.. sure thing rubes.

Jaune stared at the infant before carefully picking her up and cradling her.

Jaune: I should.. I should hate you with every fiber of my being, every ounce of my soul.. but you.. I can't.. I know why I should.. you grow up into.. her. But you're just a girl, an innocent child.. you almost look like..

Jaune pressed against the wall before sliding down onto the floor, sitting. He crossed his legs and began stroking the infant's head.

Jaune couldn't tell if he was holding the woman whose neck he wanted to wrap his hands around and watch the light leave her eye.. or a daughter.

Jaune released a hick as tears began to roll down his cheeks. He released another hick before he began to sob.

Jaune: dear oum.. dear oum how could I hurt a daughter?..

The ending doesn't have to be set in stone, right?

... I have two answers for this because I got mixed feelings.

One, the fact this has happened (thankfully not to me but dear god has it happened) greatly disappoints me. I hoped all the ideas that jaune fans were just shitty most of the time were wrong but it seems it is primarily correct.

However, my second is this. What the fuck are we supposed to do. Unless the majority of jaune fans who aren't pieces of shit sees this and all share the same first opinion as me there won't be a lot of action. We can't just put up a sign saying "if your a piece of shit such as: an ableist, a homophobe, etc etc, get the fuck out or we will drive you with pitchforks and torches." However I do think there is a way for the majority of people to get the fuck out.

Either make Jaune gay, disabled, and a multitude of other things just to piss literally all of pieces of shit off.. or have someone more intelligent than me think of something.

Thoughts on Jaune x OC ships? After he kept his memories from the Ever After and stayed canonically 29-39, it ruined any ship with his peers for me, so I made an OC, but I'm a bit worried it's cringe...

I mean. He got de-aged but alright. (And it's not like most of the jaune ships became questionable considering most of the cast and side characters are consenting adults and it's not like they aren't allowed to date someone who's older since they, you know aren't children anymore.)

But I feel like answering the rest of your ask instead of getting on my soap box and glazing most jaune ships.

I'm rather neutral. They can be good but you also would want to make sure there's more to their character. But id say for your idea, go for it. Aslong as they aren't boring and a piece of cardboard (cough cough pyrrha cough cough) people aren't gonna have any real problems.. as long as they aren't fuckin stupid and understand an opinion.

So overall. Meh.

Ah my friend I see you've come with good intentions, welcome and I shall speak of my obsession care for Jaune.

To begin

1) I relate to jaune heavily due to me seeing a tinge (well more of a lot) of self hatred in him and i myself struggle with my own confidence.. also i like him because he wasn't ashamed of wearing a dress and he was a man of his word. I respect that.

2) I mean.. yang exists and she's my favorite character. I only speak of jaune because he is a lot easier to discuss.. somehow.

3) god I have tons, let's see there's martial arc's, Dragonslayer, knightshade, arculus rift, knightfall, and a lot of other jaune ships.. except jaunes harem

(saw your confession on rwby confess) i think the current problem with critics and fans is that *both* sides that go to war (NOT the critics and fans who are minding their business and only occasionally engage, shoutout to them, i love you all) either made their side their whole personality and/or they're actively trying to one-up/destroy the other. you can't post anything without them NOT reading, rather already crafting a response in their mind to counter your point, even if they didn't even read what your point is. it's a really uncomfortable situation because anything you do will put you in this or either side and you cannot get the whole fan experience. i've honestly been afraid of posting knightshade not because i dislike bees (I'm rather indifferent to them) but because i'm afraid of people thinking i hate bees and that it's cheating art and the whole nine yards (saw it happen to many blacksun, dragonslayer and knightshade art). i made ONE joke and people already painted me as a critic and a hater. ONE.

also, while some critics bring very valid points and give excellent food for thought, the majority that goes into forums and twitter usually repeat the same points that have been analysed to death. like, in reality there's always something new to criticize about rwby, but no, in forums it's always the same stuff. it feels like they're fishing for praise or engagement instead of actually posting their thoughts.

So like I write A LOT. And that means new stories.. or in the case of Tumblr.. lots of fics. (Why the hell do you think I have pumped out multiple ones on the same day, they weren't written in advance, they were written at that moment!)

But unfortunately.. that can lead to burn out. And when you're trying to tell a story you kinda need to avoid burning yourself out.. so that only leaves me with two options.

1. Use chatgpt to deal with grammar issues and help smooth out out the page (or just continue it and completely abandon all self respect I have as a writer)

Or

2. I get an assistant writer. Who helps with writing the page and helps deal with minor mistakes.

Except one problem for number 2.. I'm as broke as my loser ass is a virgin. EXTREMELY. But also I'm probably a fuckin nightmare to work with and my ass is too damn lazy to even ask.

So.. to anyone who is a fuckin masochist and a writer.. who doesn't mind helping for free..
