When Ted died in Deathly Hallows, I'm pretty sure people were informed about it on Potterwatch (the secret radio).

Which could mean that Andromeda and Tonks (I'm NOT gonna call them by their first name, it feels like deadnaming to me) also found out that way.

My hc is that they were listening to the radio every day hoping that Ted is still alive. And one day... They heard he was not.

Can you imagine the absolute horror and grief they felt in that moment? Cause I can't.

T4T Ted Tonks and Andromeda Black. It's part of why Andy got disowned.

Ted's mom died when he was 8 and his father died when he was 13. His newfound lack of parents resulted in him getting adopted by the head of Hufflepuff house at the time, Newt Scamander. He was the owner of the briefcase after Newt died and up until he died himself.

(Newt is also trans but that is not important to this post.)

Yet another random detail from my fic.

The only thing Remus and Sirius really ever fought over (Besides both being whores and the Prank) is Ted and Andromeda.

Sirius is more than a little overprotective of Andy, and Ted was one of the few people Remus felt safe being his actual self with, so every time Ted did something less than absolute perfection, Sirius would attempt a murder, and Remus would attempt a manslaughter in defense of another. Peter typically ended up making them not kill each other or someone else.

Also Ted was a metamorphmagus who occasionally gave himself wolf ears to make Remus feel better. It worked. Remus cried.

Random unfinished headcanon that got way too long for one of my stories.

Ted is gremlin and Andy is tol. He's, like, 5'3, and she's 6'2. She sometimes just picks him up. He turns bright red every time. His hair goes bubblegum pink, just like his daughter.

Actually, the first time Nymph's hair turned pink was when she was 1 1/2. It had turned a lot of colors before that, but not that exact shade of pink.

Andromeda got up at 2:00 in the morning because she was thirsty and she stopped by the nursery because she didn't see Ted.

Inside, he was just sitting there with Nymph resting on his chest and laughing. He was changing his eye color. She always adored that. Andromeda did, too. Her husband was beautiful.

So she walks over, a little bit annoyed that he's keeping Nymph awake, and he stands up, and he's staring directly up at her with his cute, bright pink eyes (I'm a simp if that was unclear), and she makes the split second choice between being mad at him and picking him up. So she picks him up because who could be mad at that face he spent hours designing?

And of course, his hair goes bright pink because this man is a SIMP. And Nymph is amazed because that color is beautiful on him, so she tries it out herself. And for a moment, they forget the war. They forget Voldemort and his Death Eaters. They forget the Black family. They forget everything but this moment.

I know that we've seen 2-3 exemples of this but i just have to know how a pureblood would dress. Because i can't think of anything else than muggle clothes. Even Draco *never let anyone forget that I'm a pureblood, toujours pur, my father will hear about this* Malfoy wore FUCKING SUITS. So like what do they wear??? I NEED to know.

Like what would have James *simping over hotass Lily Evans* Potter and Sirius *I'm so gay for Remus* Black worn to go break some hearts at a fancy pureblood party?

These are the questions that keep me awake at night.

Andromeda Black I love you. The middle child in a predominately Chinese family, the one who managed to slip by and go out with a bang. The one who wanted a fairytale love story but the emotional distress of leaving her family was too real. The one who promised her daughter a good life but felt as if she had failed so she made the promise to her grandson again. A clean freak who could only feel in control by the state of her environment. She has colorful tattoos over her body and garden made from her blood, sweat, and tears, and a family she carved for herself. She's sun to Ted's moon. The dog to his cat. She's the mother that would scold you for being out too late but her family would argue that she's done worse things as a teenager. She lives her life with the family she's made for herself and smiles while ignoring the tug at the back of her head repeating the words of her parents and her sisters. You could call her a hypocrite with the way she sometimes says insensitive things stemming from her birth but turns around to defend her friends and husband solely.

colors:

red is the color of sirius’ shirt, narcissa’s lips and regulus’ pocket handkerchief. red represents how they rebelled against their family (sirius ran away and was openly against their morals, narcissa lied to voldemort and basically helped defeating him w her words, regulus turned against voldemort at the last moment, dying for his cause)

narcissa and andromeda are the only ones not wearing black, and they’re the only survivors in this picture.

clothes and accessories:

andromeda is wearing a white dress that resembles a bride’s dress, because she ran away to marry ted. her and sirius’s clothes are also less restricting than regulus and narcissa’s, because unlike their younger siblings they got their freedom.

andromeda, like her cousins, is wearing silver jewelry, aside from a gold ring (her engagement ring), and with her hand she’s covering a family pendant (she chose love over her family). regulus is wearing a pin that looks like salazar’s locket.

poses and such:

andromeda isn’t looking at the camera because she was the first to “look away from her family”, and sirius is looking at her because he would soon follow in her footsteps (andy also has a hand on his shoulder to further represent her influence on him). similarly, bellatrix (who is the only one smiling) is keeping an hand on narcissa so she wouldn’t leave. narcissa has a hand clenched in a fist, covered by her left, (as a way to hide her defiance).

idk why im in such a bad mood rn but it actually PISSES ME TF OFF how the entire marauders fandom collectively decided to take this bum-ass loser character with one discernable impact on the storyline (regulus. im talking about regulus) and make him a super complex, three-dimensional MAIN character in the era that’s being literally paired with JAMES POTTER(???) when they could’ve taken a character who AREADY has existing complexities and everything they could ever want and develop them. but they won’t because that character is a fucking woman ☠️☠️

the way the black sisters would have the entire fandom in a fucking chokehold if they were boys. do you actually think sirius and regulus would be as cherished as they are now if they were women? hell fucking no, regulus would be hated on so badly. the way we were given narcissa and fucking andromeda too? here’s the entire fandom yapping on and on about how cool regulus is for rebelling against the dark lord when narcissa was doing it and fucking getting away with it too (because she’s better and doesn’t suck ass). here’s andromeda going against her entire bloodline ON HER OWN but yet shes still so overshadowed by sirius (who literally came after her). then you got bellatrix who is canonly one of the most powerful (and cuntiest) witches in the hp-verse and you decide to go and develop BARTY instead. think about it. they’re both crazy except one is more of a loser and is a male so of course the fandom will choose him.

and then. of course. lily evans who is literally the mother of the entire verse itself is still out here fighting for literal recognition and development from the fandom. and those mfs still give it to regulus instead ☠️☠️
