With duskmourn coming out and the: SPOILER ALERT:

the main antagonist being the entire plane

I wonder who would win the antagonist of duskmourn (using an archenemy deck), the phyrexians (using a planechase deck), Nicol bolas (also using an archenemy deck), the eldrazi (you can only use one planechase deck but they would also have planechase stuff), or, just for shits and giggles, the slivers

I personally think the slivers have zero chance to win especially against the eldrazi (plane eaters) and the antagonist of duskmourn, (if you read spoilers, youll know why), with bolas and the phyrexians being a close fight (none of his army is effected by phyresis due to the lazotep) and we're assuming he won war of the spark for this thought experiment same, we're also assuming the phyrexian resistance fell, but bolas would have planeswalker allies bc he would still need all the help he can get, other than that, yknow what imma seperate every battle into a bullet point:

Slivers VS Bolas - slivers might win unless bolas manages to take out the head of the hivemind, or in the case that we're bending time and space, each of the different hiveminds (eg sliver queen and overlord and the first sliver)

Slivers VS Eldrazi - Eldrazi win, full stop. even if the eldrazi take the slivers into more eldrazi, hence making the slivers have all abilities of the eldrazi, they would, at that point basically start killing themselves

Sliver VS Phyrexians - I couldnt tell you, the question comes down to which hive mind is stronger: The Father or Mother of Machines or the Sliver Hivemind

Eldrazi vs Bolas - Eldrazi, bolas has no contingency plan for if the eldrazi invade his plane, theories say his plan was literally just to planeswalk away

Eldrazi vs Phyrexians - if the eldrazi invade Phyrexia at the right time, then the eldrazi win, however if any phyrexian monarch is prepared, the phyrexians can escape, however if they have planeswalkers the phyrexians may be able to defeat the eldrazi, but they'll be back eventually

Bolas vs Phyrexians - if bolas plays his pieces correctly, he may be able to defeat the phyrexians, however if he makes even 1 small mistake, well bolas and his entire army belong to the phyrexians

SPOILERS FOR DUSKMOURN FOR THE REST OF THIS POST:

Valgavoth vs Slivers - I feel like the planewide demon Valvagoth would be able to defeat the slivers if he realized how much of a threat they are early on, however they dont feel fear so he wouldnt have a reason to really interact with them so if he takes to long to act on them the slivers would win, however if he snuffs them out before they multiply valvagoth and duskmourn would win

Valvagoth vs Eldrazi - yeah no eldrazi, full stop, first would come the corruption of duskmourn causing a larger destruction of the plane well before the arrival of the titans, then from that point the pure power of the titans would annihilate the rest of the plane, valgavoth wouldnt have a snowballs chance in hell to defeat a plane eater

Valgavoth vs Bolas - the big problem here is bolas's unfeeling army of eternals and bolas having the power of an oldwalker (according to this thought experiment) and fighting zombies with no feelings, especially GODS (even if we assume bolas was smart and lazoteped the three corrupted gods of the scarab scorpion and locust gods) he would probably just destroy wall after wall and be able to just burn through any and all of valvagoths minions

Finally Valgavoth vs Phyrexia - if the phyrexians ever got to the plane of duskmourn they would pretty much have to complete valvagoth as quickly as possible or risk getting kicked out of the plane, or just leaving enough oil to compleat a few members to futher compleat the plane allowing them to come back and finish the job

Here's a dumb question:

Cannibals in the hellverse, do they just eat hell born or do they eat other sinners? If they do, how? Sinners can't be killed in the traditional since, they just get torn apart. So if a cannibal eats a torn apart sinner, how will that sinner regenerate? Do they pull themselves together and wait for the parts eaten to be... digested??

Anyone else thinking about what it would be like to have different teeth like all the time.

My friends got me a photo card holder and I was gonna put a pic of us in it or something. But then all of us who got one decided to do a PC avengers assemble type thing. I’m not super into K-pop so I need your help choosing between the following men

I had a unique question posed to me the other day: where would I be if I hadn’t gone to gifted school?

I was homeschooled through 10th grade. Toward the end of that school year, my mom kept telling me how she couldn’t keep up with what I was learning. I was mostly teaching myself from the books at that point. Homeschooling was no longer a sustainable idea, unless I wanted to teach my mom instead of the other way around.

My dad decided it was time to put his plan into action. He’d said for years that I should go to public school for my last year or two, so this seemed like the perfect time to start. My parents called the local high school to see if I could be transferred in.

They said no. They’d never heard of my curriculum (The Well-Trained Mind, if you’re curious) and weren’t interested in approving it. My parents called multiple staff, the school board, everyone. No dice.

I would start school there in the ninth grade, they said, and test out of all my classes until I was at the level I needed to be. This testing would take a few weeks at the start of the year - which meant I’d already be behind! - and then, only then, could I continue in the 11th grade. Obviously this became a last-resort option at best.

The next option was to take the GED. It’s a high school education equivalency test USUALLY for people who didn’t pass high school, but it can be taken at any age (including early!). So I could take it and go straight to my local college. The problems with this were twofold: first, most employers don’t consider them equivalent, so I would have a hard time getting a job until I got a degree; second, my local college would not be enough of a challenge for me, but it would be the most viable option in terms of finances. Despite this, it was my favorite idea of the two.

My mom learned about the gifted school a few weeks later. I had to mull about the decision for a little while, actually. I was almost leaning toward the college, but let’s just say there was some spiritual intervention and leave it at that. I’m very glad I did go to gifted school; it was a wonderful, stressful blessing, but a blessing all the same.

But let’s say that didn’t happen. Let’s say I took the GED (because no way was I going back to ninth grade!). How much would be different?

I would be in my fourth year of college, barring any financial issues. I’d probably still be taking computer science, but not have learned nearly as much as I know now in my second year.

I would never have learned about Mari0, nor its community. I wouldn’t have made any of the bunches of mappacks or tilesets - or more importantly, friends - that I made.

Speaking of friends, my few friends would be a couple of years older than me. Right now I’m the eldest among most of my friends by at least a few months. (Except one, who’s 3 years older, but he’s new.)

Probably wouldn’t have started a blog, or if I had, it would have comprised mostly reblogs.

I wouldn’t be as efficient with the internet in general. Learning about xkcd, or Twitch, or Steam, or social media trends would have come very late, if at all... although I’d probably have an active Facebook account.

I would be quieter than I already am. I’d probably have a couple of friends, none from college. I wouldn’t be surprised if I had to deal with bullying.

Would have had my first job by now. My dad always talks about how he had his first job when he was 14, so he would have pressured me into it (or I’d need it to pay college fees). Probably would have been in the food service industry, making me quite miserable as that’s not my forte.

I’d complain about all the easy, busy work and not do any of it. (Wait, I did that anyway)

Definitely wouldn’t be as tolerant of opposing ideals. I consider that one of my best qualities, and I learned it at gifted school. I’d probably argue with everyone, all the time, forever.

May have transferred to another college due to lack of interest or that possibility of bullying.

I think I like where I’m at right now much better.

I remember I saw articles about one of the writers for the Portal games saying he had a great idea for Portal 3, but not everyone on the development team wanted to make a Portal game. Combine this with the fact Ellen McLain has said she'd be interested in reprising her role, and Portal is probably the series I like with the bleakest hope of another entry, they get my choice.

How does that work for folks who have more than one name? And how is their “real name” therefore determined?

Ok this might sound weird and probs unrelated lol,but don’t you hate when your just doing something random and a really good story/drawing idea comes into your head. I mean it’s a good idea and good for like a block, but like there’s other stuff you have to finish ugh happens a lot and here’s one of them:

So what if I made a story about a choreographer and an artist? Yes this sounds like your stereotypical teen film, but the characters would be aged up. Of course in the process of this, they grow a strong connection and grow as people together(obviously). Plot twist: They don’t fall in love. Nope. Instead it’s more platonic

Another idea I had was the main character finds some abandoned lab and finds empty tubes except for one. The person in the tube is frozen and once defrosted the person believes they are still in 1984. It’s 2021.Of course the frozen character is confused of the new technologies and still uses stuff like a walkman and beepers. So the two characters try and figure out what happened and turns out frozen character has like strange new abilities. Plot twist: Frozen character is a plot villain acting innocent and they were their own “lab rat”

Anyways those were just some small ideas I had which are free to be used and tweaked by anyone. There basically a prompt kinda lol we’ll just wanted to share since I haven’t posted any update on the mug. Sorry about that probs will post tomorrow. Good whatever time your reading this.
