The Novelty of Love
Everyone who looks into history knows just how much of a genius Nikola Tesla is. All inventors know his name. Nikola Tesla is a man of science and facts. All concepts in the world must have some sort of a scientific explanation. His love for science can be mistaken for obsessive. His whole life and even as a soul, revolves around science. So much so, that he hates it when anyone mistakes his science for magic. Nikola hates the word “magic” as it is nothing but fiction. Science is something that is real. Factual. His science is science, not magic. Do not ever compare the two or else Nikola will give you a lecture about how wrong you are.
But there is one thing that Nikola can never quite figure out. Love. He understands the biological factors, but only that. Nikola has never been able to explain the amount of affection he has for you. He can never understand how you can plague his mind like how science does. Whenever he is focused on a new invention or idea, you always pop into his mind. Distracting him for a bit while warming his heart. Not to mention that his heart pumps a bit faster at the thought of you.

“This won’t hurt right?” You asked nervously while the man in front of you attached another wire to your arm. “Just a little shock like you said… right?”
Tesla nodded confidently, grabbing another wire out of the slowly shrinking mound.
“Of course.” He said, still focused on his placement of said wires. “I’m absolutely confident in my calculations, this will absolutely work!”
You nodded, but his reassurance did little to soothe your anxiety. Soon, you’d be teleported across the room (hopefully) in one piece. You glanced over at Tesla who gently taped the wire to your arm, holding you ever so gently like you might shatter. Your cheeks began to burn as you quickly looked away, you’re friends y/n. You shouldn’t be blushing about your friend who’s using you as a test subject.
You kept quiet as Tesla continued his meticulous work of rigging you up, as you did your best to stay still. Wire after wire, minute after minute, it was almost hell trying to stop your cheeks from combusting into flames. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the inventor stood up and backed up, admiring his handiwork.
“Aren’t you excited y/n?” He beamed, animatedly talking with his hands as he walked behind the control panel, a good couple feet away. “You’re about to be part of one of the biggest feats in human history!”
You did your best to smile through your nerves at him, hopefully he didn’t notice your unease. After all, you volunteered for this, you didn’t have to help in this potentially dangerous environment.
”Yeah Nikola, ready when you are.” You smiled as genuinely as you could, you trusted him. If he said you’d be safe, you’d be safe.
Tesla seemed to trip over something as he coughed into his fist as he looked away from you. Was that a tint of pink on his face? No it couldn’t be, you’re just friends after all. Was it that you said his first name? Thinking about it, you’d never called him by his first name, maybe he didn’t like that? Yeah that had to be it, you reasoned as you watched as Tesla pick up the switch for the machine.
”Ready? On the count of three.” He said confidently, all signs of his possible embarrassment gone.
“One.” He said as you braced yourself.
”Two.” You could feel your heart hammering in your chest.
”Three-“ You clenched you eyes shut as the inventor pressed the little button he held in his hand.
Suddenly your vision went blank, your head spun, and you felt weightless. For a couple seconds you couldn’t see anything, feel anything, or hear anything, just you in the white void.
Then suddenly, you felt your feet on the ground, your head spun as your senses rushed back to you. You felt your knees give out and saw the floor rush towards you. Your brain was too foggy to try and catch yourself despite feeling like everything was in slow motion.
You felt your head hit- something? Last time you checked the floor wasn’t nearly this soft or warm. You held on weakly to whatever it was, not wanting to fall again.
”I’ve got you.” The not floor said, causing you to blearily look up. “You’re a marvel of science!”
Nikola. It was Nikola who you were holding onto. It was him who caught you.
”Tesla I-“ You croaked out gently, but were promptly shushed by a gentle finger to your lips.
”Nikola.” He said with a gentle smile. “Nikola will do just fine.”
Maybe you could be more than just friends.

Nikola Tesla - Wizard
Thomas Edison - Sorceror
A big part of history is context, and this is even more true when it comes to the great figures of history. Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison were huge competitors, to the point where neither really makes sense without the other.
I chose the character classes for these two men based primarily on their approach to the scientific method. Tesla was educated, methodical, and based most of his work on established scientific principles; conversely, Edison's work tended to be based just on whatever he thought would work, with his huge number of failures being attributed, by Tesla, to Edison's lack of theoretical background. So even though Tesla was the more wildly emotional man -- he was obsessed with cleanliness, for example, and was neurotic about the number 3 -- it's actually Edison that fits the Sorceror title better.
When designing these two, I tried to reflect their personality more than their class in their costume. Wizards are generally seen as the more ostentatious group, but Tesla's personality would brook no clutter, so Tesla's outfit is streamlined and practical. Conversely, Edison's outfit is full of gimmicks and clutter, basically anything he thought would be helpful at the time. It's also designed to make him look bigger, which I thought was appropriate given Edison's penchant for self-promotion.
In RPGs, the Wizard and the Sorceror are both magically-based character classes that focus on elemental attacks. The functional differences between them are usually fairly minor, but the Wizard is generally seen as being the more methodical of the two. It's usually the Wizard that ends up cloistered in their tower, researching new spells, and having to be enticed out for adventure. Conversely, the Sorceror's power generally comes from instinct and emotion, leaning on magical talent rather than education.
I don't care that they stole my idea.

Imagine if we got a George Westinghouse Servant, though. I'd be so happy. He's such a neglected part of the War of the Currents nowadays. Caster would probably be his most likely class, but it would also be cool if he were a Rider or an Extra class--Rider for trains (he patented a railway air brake before getting involved with electricity), and Extra so all the electric men could be in different Class triangles (Tesla = Knight, Edison = Cavalry).
I know it's never going to happen, though. :')

The Basecamp attachment looks completely different to the originally advertised design, and the ‘tent mode’ in the instructions doesn't even exist yet.
Our recommendation: sewing it yourself is cheaper.

Tesla the inventor was a genius, the Tesla brand is just the toy of a hasardeur with a maker myth.
Everything he does is as sustainable as trying to put out a big fire with a bucket.

When a man's ego is so big that everyone gives him money because he makes even more money out of it. It's probably just greed.... At some point, he does charity work to improve his image. So this is a mafia boss taking care of the children of the lawyer he killed. A complete joke. I love it when they think they are benefactors of mankind, first driving up grain prices on the commodity exchange and making fat money. While the world food organisation can't help people because of the high costs. But then they open a poor kitchen in Chicago. The example can be applied to anything and is called exploitation.

I would like to talk about Nikola Tesla so here we are:
Dude was unhinged. He had a consuming need to nurture injured pigeons, including a nursery in his home. One of them he called his wife, and when she died, he said the inventing spirit left him. He tried to invent a death ray. He tried to create wireless power but his first attempt caught fire and killed several horses.
He worked to develop the method we use today to allow power to travel long distances. He was just overall kind of weird and I adore him deeply. The fact that his main rival was a rich sociopath who profited off of the backs of other people's work and then the car company Tesla whose figurehead is a rich sociopath who profits off the back of other people's work was named after him bothers me to no end. Like I KNOW Elon was not the founder of Tesla, it was founded by two engineers who genuinely wanted the future to be electric, something Tesla would actually be proud of, but what the company has turned into really disappoints me.
