Money Bowl

How to Create a Money Bowl

You will need:

Bowl

Rice - for abundance

Money Oil

Coins, cash, etc. (This can even be paper with dollar signs/money signs written in green or gold.)

Cinnamon sticks - for money

A green candle - for money, prosperity, abundance, wealth

Bay leaves

Basil (or other money related herbs and spices)

Pyrite - to attract money and prosperity

Clear Quartz - to amplify the spellwork

Fill your bowl with rice up to a height you're comfortable with.

On a separate plate or napkin, layout the basil. (You can add any other spices or herbs that will help with your money bowl.) Dress the candle with your money oil. (This can be purchased pre-made from your local magick shop or you can make your own. If you don't have any, you can use whatever oil you have on hand.) Roll the candle in the herbs and make sure it's coated well.

Place the candle at the center of the bowl and start placing your stuff inside! I used rolled up cash (whatever amount you'd like), cinnamon sticks, basil with my petitions written on them, etc. Feel free to add more money-drawing items or remove what you feel isn't serving you.

Decorate your box with crystals and other items. I used a pyrite elephant and pyrite cluster since pyrite is associated with money and wealth, but I also used a clear quartz to amplify the shellwork and boost the money-drawing power.

I placed my bowl on top of my clear box with tips from the place I bartend at, but you can put your bowl wherever makes sense to you. The key is to "work" the bowl and continue to add/remove items, light the candle, add drops of oil, replace an old candle with a new one, etc. Since I have my bowl sitting on top of my money box, inserting money into the box is like I'm "feeding" the box/bowl with that energy.

I think the most important part to remember is that this bowl is personal and entirely up to you. Everyone's bowl will look different and people will "work" their bowls differently, which I think is really cool. There is no right or wrong way to make a money bowl, but it is a lot of trial and error. How to cleanse your house for manifestation, and "clear your door ways" of negative shit

Clean your front door. I am not joking, clean the fucking door. Especially if you have VISIBLE grime on it, clean it physically. Take your multi-surface cleaner, spray it to fuck, then wipe it down with paper towels until everything is gone. And then, take a prepared wash (spiritual wash of whatever sort you feel necessary, could even be a multi-action bath for cleansing and protection as well as prosperity if you do it right) and re-wash the door with this mix. If you don't have visible grime on your door, you can skip the multi-surface cleaner and go straight to the spiritual wash

Once a month at least, especially for warding work or for road opening work (would not try to make it for both, if you do road opening have a separate ward set up at the door)

Easy Warding recipe

-baking soda

-bay leaves

-peppermint

-basil

-ashes of psalm 23 (or another if you have a preference, or a petition written for the protection of the home)

Wash the door, then throw the remaining liquid at the door and let it air dry

Easy Prosperity recipe

-cinnamon

-clove

-nutmeg

-ginger

-bay leaf

-holy water (optional, but adds an extra kick)

-coins (will be strained out and given as offerings at a crossroads after the wash is made)

-petition for prosperity and abundance burned (also psalm 23, and Mathew: 7:7-8)

Wash the door while petitioning for prosperity, for money to always be flowing in, and for blessings in general to always be flowing in. After entire door is washed, throw remaining liquid on door and allow to air dry. Take the coins and go to the nearest crossroads and drop them on the corner (if you live in an apartment complex, the entrance to the complex is the best place. Not the nearest gate, the ENTRANCE. My nearest gate is exit only, and you want abundance flowing IN)

Why Aren’t my Spells Working?

A break-down of why your magickal intent may not be taking effect in your life

Hi there! So, if you’re reading this, you’ve probably had this problem at one time or another; in fact, almost all witches experience a ‘fizzled’ spell every once in awhile… but what happens when you’ve been casting multiple, and they all just won’t take? Here are some reasons why this could be happening:

The spell was not transferred enough energy to take effect. Think of this as filling up a balloon with helium ~ If you don’t put enough in, the balloon with just roll around or float a few inches above the floor, rather than floating high in the air like you intended for it to do. This can also happen with spells! There needs to be enough energy transfer (The energy you put in, the energy you’ve taken from something/someone else, etc.) to allow the spell to ‘take hold’ and manifest strongly and in the way you preferred. 

You’re not helping the magick along when it requires you to do so. For many spells, such as magick geared towards jobs, people, physical events, etc. there needs to be more than just one magickal variable working towards your intent to manifest. You need to work for it; If you cast a spell for a job, you also better be turning in that application and resume along with it ~! A spell can increase your chance, luck, and appeal, but it cannot contact your employer and set up an interview. 

(A break-off from the above reason) Your conditions just don’t allow the magick to materialize easily. This is the most possible to happen in weather spells, such as those to bring heavy rain to a dry climate area, or magick for something that your life/area just cannot manifest. For example, imagine somebody trying to cast a spell to ‘make one of their friends fall in love with them’ whilst having not a single friend in their life; the spell is incapable of materializing, because their are no variables for it to work with! It is a sad thing to think about, certainly, but this example shows how casting a spell that is wrong for your life situation can cause it to work improperly or not at all. (Tip: This person should have cast a spell for new friends first! This also shows how you may be casting spells that are wrong for the situation) 

Your wording was not the best. Similar to how people will often word things in a positive or future-tense manner (EX: ‘I AM BRAVE’ / rather than ‘I WILL BE BRAVE’) during spellwork or how in some fairytales the genie will grant a wish in a horrible way according to the wording of a wish, you must be careful to be clear and concise in what you’re wanting! Stay away from vague or general wording; You’ll wish you had when you try to cast a spell for a person to love you romantically, and later find that they love you like a sibling or best friend ~ 

You forgot to/incorrectly grounded after a spell. Grounding is not only important to maintain your own energies, but it is also a good tool for assuring that the energies of your spell don’t simply go on floating ‘up in the clouds’, failing to come down to earth and manifest! Grounding after a spell also increases the chances that it will work faster. 

Your focus/energy was off during the spell. Common for those with a low rate of focus, who’s mind wanders easily, or with low/confidence and doubt (which can especially put off your energies) you might have broken the intent of the spell while casting it. Not to worry, for spells can be re-cast and focus can be sharpened, but be sure to have a strong mind when performing visualization or transferring your intent into a spell! This can lead to a spell manifesting in a different way than you intended (which may not always be a bad thing) or just all-together not working.

(For people-directed magick) The person on the other end of your spell has a protection ward. If you’re simply trying as hard as you can to curse, heal, bless, cast upon another witch without their knowledge, there’s a chance that they have up some magickal barriers of their own. Be cautious with curses on other witches especially, since there are wards to reflect curses back upon the sender, and you never know! This can also be so if you are casting magick upon somebody to improve an aspect of their life; they may unknowingly be mentally/spiritually guarding, or ‘closing’ their energy, making it difficult for the magick to attach to them. 

Further tip: Have patience! Some spells take a while to manifest or come to be, and if you’re becoming discouraged after them not working within a week, you need to have a bit of patience.

Keep in mind that these are things anybody can do without knowing; they do not at all make you a bad or incapable witch, but it is important to know and accept why they may not be working. I hope for those that experience it, these reasons can provide some insight ~ This post was inspired by all of the anons who have been asking this question frequently

Taking advantage of that full moon and putting in work tonight! Two witch balls for the house and my car, then a New Years ritual/spell. I have to say I’m exhausted now, though. Maybe a 3 in 1 night was too much??

                                  ~ My first ever Samhain! ~

I LOVED it!!! :D I made a Samhain Envelope inspired by @witchy-woman ‘s post here! (mine mostly just altered a few things cause I don’t have much witchy stuff just yet. Plus I added some stuff for fun!) 

You can do this even when it’s not Samhain - use it anytime you want to start fresh :) If anyone’s actually reading this, here’s what I did!

-First I took an envelope (soaked in tea and coffee grounds for color and the effects of the tea/coffee), and filled it with some herbs (ginger, cloves, black pepper, sage, and zest from an orange - refer to the insp post for the uses of these) for a spell to banish negativity and bring positive new beginnings for the witchy new year! 

-Next I wrote a quick spell of negative things to let go of and leave behind in the new year (such as anxiety and overthinking keeping me from doing things I love), and burned it, collecting the ashes in the envelope. After that, I wrote a similar spell for things I want to let in and embrace (such as passion, inspiration, and motivation), and set it aside to charge.

-I used some crystals to cleanse negativity and darkness (hematite), bring peace and contentment (amethyst), help me with concentration and motivation (Tiger’s Eye), and allow me to experience joy and adventure (Citrine). I used these to charge the positive spell paper first, and again to charge the envelope once it was finished.

-After putting everything in the envelope, I sealed it with the candle wax while charging it with the crystals, repeated the spells and a couple chants I made for my intention, drew a sigil for Passion on the back, and passed it through the incense smoke.

-Then just leave it on the windowsill to soak up the moonlight and/or sunlight!  Great spell for when the moon is waxing, so the intention can continue to grow throughout the new year :)

And voila! A beautiful spell jar for baby witches like me who don’t have jars yet :P

Earth Grounding/Centering

Sit in a chair with your feet flat on the ground or sit on the floor with your legs crossed.

After doing some deep breathing and getting yourself to a relaxed state, begin imagining roots growing from the base of your spine and burrowing into the ground. Visualize any negative or excess energy flowing from the top of your head, out the base of your spine, and into the earth. 

After you feel your negative vibes fade away, be sure to thank the Earth for its assistance.

To center, imagine a glowing ball of energy forming in the center of your body (on your abdomen above your navel). 

Now, visualize that energy flowing from the center of your body, through your arms, and into your hands

Direct this energy into whatever act of magick you are doing

Magical Theory - Pt. 3 (Unforgivables Edition)

The Unforgivable Curses are the three most powerful (known) Dark Magic spells in the world. They fall under the category of Black Magic, due to one of their requirements for use being the full intent to cause harm and possess a particularly curious consequence: damage to the soul.

Imperio is considered the most lightly-sentenced of the unforgivables, meaning you’ll only get one life sentence for using it instead of multiple (however, this also depends on what exactly the caster made the target do – I can absolutely see people using this spell for the dumbest crap, think Karens-at-Walmart levels of stupid). This curse requires the caster to have the desire to completely enslave the target as well as knowing what exactly they want the target to do. This curse causes some damage to the soul and its tie to the caster’s body. It is also the easiest to cast of the three.

Crucio is considered by some to be the cruelest of the unforgivables. Multiple life sentences are generally given for using it; however, it is heavily rumored that officials within the Ministry of Magic have gotten away with using it for hundreds of years. The spell requires the caster to have the desire to cause pain and suffering. Hate, rage, and other strong negative emotions produce more potent magic, so this specific spell is extremely powerful and extremely dangerous to use as it can easily go out of control. This spell can have similar effects to those of Avada Kedavra if used often.

Avada Kedavra is the most dreaded of the three curses. Casters of this curse will receive more life sentences than those who have just cast Crucio, though the number of sentences is also affected by how many people the caster has killed with the spell as well. Reasons for this are the spell requirements and results; this specific spell requires the caster to have the unremitting desire to murder their target. Desiring the death of their target is not enough in this case for the spell to be successful. The spell itself will only react to the rage, hate, and/or desire for destruction that come with committing a murder. This spell essentially shatters the tie between the soul and body, much like how a dementor rips tis tie as it sucks a person’s soul out. As a result, the ties holding the caster’s soul to their body is loosened or broken slightly. The more often the caster uses Avada Kedavra, the more their soul will shatter. However, these pieces of their soul can be saved (with great difficulty and care) and placed into Horcruxes to give them (potentially) eternal life.
