Have you noticed the way a person stubbornly holds back their tears only to let them all out when you ask them if they're okay?
Maybe we are waiting. Waiting for someone to hold us and tell us that it's okay to hurt. Maybe we are just waiting for that one kind tilt of their head and the concern their voice holds to know that our pain is not worthless, that our tears are not shed in vain. Or maybe, maybe we need one last affirmation, one last reason that seems to silence all our raging insecurities on why, exactly, they are staying (darling, are you staying for the rubies that grow under my eyes when the tears flow endlessly or are you staying for me? plain, boring old me with my uncomfortable grief and lashing tongue and teeth never quite knowing how to stretch into a smile that doesn't seem menacing? how could i ever believe that you, lovely, lovely you, would want to love this mess on purpose ?). Who wouldn't like the company of someone who assures you to help pick up and put together all the bits of your flesh that your misery has torn asunder?
I really wanna draw the pup trio + Blaze but I'm not good at drawing men 😭 I think I could totally get away with drawing Daniel like a twink, but Rylan would be a stretch and Blaze is.. nottt a twink. He is big and manly and shit like that idk he's hot. But I can't draw hot men. Thinking about the time a few friends and I were dancing on stage in our school’s auditorium for funzies before the middle schoolers we were being stage crew for got there and then they started an active shooter drill (yee-haw) and we ran to the girl’s dressing room (one girl, one enby, and two boys) and we hid behind props and under costumes and quietly played Taylor Swift while pooping ourselves because we could hear the fake intruders walking around and the announcements kept coming on and saying they were getting closer to the auditorium THAT WE WERE IN
Then it ended and we went back to dancing and the middle schoolers showed up
