I've See People Say "Hyper Empathy Is So Difficult To Cope" And "Selective Empathy Is Very Difficult

I've see people say "Hyper empathy is so difficult to cope" and "Selective empathy is very difficult to have" And similar things, but what about the two cases? I hope I'm not the only one who's both hyper and selective empathy

My selective empathy makes it hard to live because it's pretty difficult for me to empathize with real human people, I mostly empathize with fictional characters, objects and animals, sometimes with real human people when I get attached to them

But when I do empathize I feel so overwhelmed by that, it's painful and it makes me sorrow a lot...

It's kinda hard because people tend to tell me I don't feel empathy at all just because it's selective empathy, but when I do feel empathy in a way I can't even cope myself for how hard it hits me now I'm a horrible selfish person?... I don't get it

Tell I'm not the only selective hyper empathy person, I feel so alone and misunderstood by everyone at this point regarding my style and way of feeling and being empathic TT

Actually yes, at least for what I been reading about introjecting in general psychological context and introjecting in OSDDID context I can say it is because of that

Some definitions easy to find in google about introjection in non-OSDDID context are:

The unconscious adoption of the thoughts or personality traits of others. It occurs as a normal part of development, such as a child taking on parental values and attitudes.

Introjection, one of many defense mechanisms posited by Sigmund Freud, occurs when a person internalizes the ideas or voices of other people. Some mental health professionals believe that introjection is a protective strategy that children employ in order to cope with unavailable parents or guardians: By unconsciously absorbing the characteristics of parents, children reassure themselves that some aspect of the parent is present even if the parent is physically absent. Depending on the types of attitudes that are picked up, introjection may lead to positive or negative effects.

So yeah, introjecting is a coping mechanism of the brain, when you get fixated in some show or media you tend to mimic and introject parts of the media in yourself as a way to understand, act and cope with the external world

If this mimicking and helping is seen as something that is needed for the brain is normal for the brain to make introjects

Basically I just expanded a little bit about how this works, I lazy to do a better explanation lol

I wonder if people who are autistic and have OSDDID are more likely to have introjects because it's so common for singlet autistic people to mimic/mirror others behaviors

Wanted to do something like this so.... I'll give it a try!!

🍄 - how did you get your system name? It was a name I made when we were like... 10 I think?, But I was planning on that when I was like 8. Some random alter discovered those old notes, see the context and almost everyone agreed it was a perfect and unique name for us, everyone liked it instantly except me, the honest, who coined the term

👾 - funniest out of context system quote? "Namelnom is the new plague but with systems" /ij

🎉 - favorite system holiday? Day of the death! (We're mexicans lol)

🌙 - do you have subsystems? We have many subsystems

☕ - what is switching like for you? It's a very strange feeling and process, also it depends a lot in the type of switch because we have different types based in the context of why we switched and how it felt. But mostly it's just like blinking with a fuzzy feeling, and then you're not in the front anymore or just pop out in there

💫 - are there any hobbies you all have? Impossible, but most of us like writing, though it depends in the alter what kind of things they'll write

💾 - what's your headcount? We're a fucking lot, we prefer saying more than 1000 and that's all, we gave up counting because of the horribly big amount of fragments we have

👻 - do your alters/headmates have different voices or speech patterns? Yes we do, the most dominant trait regarding voices is a more depth and low type of voice, although we have one alter that has a very notorious accent and speech pattern... But almost everyone learned to mimic the "base voice" so they can act be me, the host

🎨 - does anyone in your system like art? Starting with the host!! Most of the system frequent fronters like art in one way or another, especially in writing and drawing topics

🥀 - how easily does the system split? I'll say 50/50 because, we do have some resistance to a lot of specific events or stress, but when it comes to something we can't handle and just "idle dissociation" isn't enough or safe we tent to split a lot, normally between 5-20 just for one thing, and if multiple things happen... Well that's a story-

🦖 - is your system fictive-heavy? factive-heavy? neutral? Fictive heavy mostly, factives want to be more predominant but can't yet

🎵 - what songs remind you of your alters/headmates? Well a lot of songs and it depends a lot in which alter do we talk about and which alter is making the comparison

❓ - how much amnesia do you experience? A LOT, amnesia is one of our biggest problems, sometimes we need to go with someone who knows about our amnesia and go like "What's the body's name and age?" because we genuinely can't remember those things, amnesia is horrible TT

🎮 - what do your alters/headmates do in their free time? Mostly do their hobbies. In the most common hobbies or free time activities of the systems are: Writing, reading, watching videos, and sometimes drawing

🪐 - what is headspace like for you? For me as host is pretty fuzzy and difficult to see correctly, I even have a censored version of the visualization because it would make me feel horribly bad if I saw it as it is, is just like... A white space with some random buildings ig?

🍐 - are there any non-human alters/headmates? Like 98% of the system is non-human

🪫 - what do you all do to recharge? Lay on bed and sleeping not always work, being in the cell phone or laptop and just chilling seeing videos is the best way we can recharge energy and, at the same time, lose it

🌧️ - how does the system cope with stress? Mostly through dissociation and switchs, when it comes to other methods are... Not very happy and healthy ones TT

🔦 - how did you discover your system? A psychiatrist told us the most probable thing is that we were a system and gave us medical recognition, after that is all history... /neu

🌟 - do any alters help out with school/work? There's supposed to be academic alters to help me during school but they're too lazy to front, or maybe they're dormant, who knows

🌊 - who are your frequent fronters? Me as the host (Namelnom), Namely, Dian, Daniel, SImply Plural, idk I tend to forget 😭

🎁 - have you ever bought your alters/headmates things? Yes! Even if I was in denial of being a system and ignoring them I tend to bought and ask for things saying "is for me" when I don't have memories of using those things, and if I do, I have emotional amnesia

☘️ - what are your introjects/fictives usually sourced from? Normally collective interests/likes or things that we see, it's not like a most prominent kind of source I think?

💬 - free space!! tell me about something! Idk, this system is wild

system ask meme

🥀 - how easily does the system split?

🦖 - is your system fictive-heavy? factive-heavy? neutral?
