I hate that no one talks about just how distressing memory loss from adhd actually is. I always see memes that are like “haha I forgot my phone, I don’t remember where my laptop is, etc”, but no one seems to talk about how it can really fuck you up long term to just, not remember things that are completely mundane to non-adhd’ers. The memory loss is, however, so frustrating to us. I cannot physically count how many meltdowns I have had over the sheer mental frustration and torture of not being able to remember seemingly simple things
My ADHD make me want to do everything at once and forgot all the thing that I supposed to be doing.
I have been into QSMP fandom and “obsessed” might be an understatements.
Yo when I was younger and didn't know I had adhd i literally envisioned this demonic monster holding me hostage and she looked hinda like this. I even describe her in a lot of my old poetry.
I still tell her to fuck off.
Do you ever feel like you’re being held hostage by your ADHD.
Not just internally, but externally as well?
Because you can’t get things done that seem to come so effortlessly for others?
Because you get accused of not doing your best, of not working hard enough, of being lazy.
Because you studied until 3am for that test and still just barely passed. Even though you knew all the answers.
Do you ever feel like that?
Please tell me I’m not alone

However, they have opened comments up for people to voice their opinions. You can submit a formal anonymous comment HERE. The comment period ends on March 31st, 2023.
This is an important issue for those who are prescribed controlled substances (e.g., testosterone or ADHD medication) through telehealth, which means it can and will impact trans people on testosterone and a ton of others if this goes through.

Finding out that I have ADHD in adulthood is so odd because not only am I working to come to terms with the diagnosis but I also have to deconstruct my preconceived ideas about myself. Like…I’m so used to calling myself “slow” because that’s what my family called it. But no, my therapist says, I’m not slow. My brain just works a bit differently.
Today is my first day on ADHD meds and they gave me a really small dosage for now but OH MY GOD it’s so amazing.
Like I was in class and we had to watch other people’s presentations and instead of zoning out for an hour I like, payed attention? and I just sat down during the break and just did my homework? like what? and it wasn’t even due until Friday? I didn’t think i could do that
My single braincell bouncing around in my head and when it hits a corner i hyper-fixate on something different.

hey y'all!!! my last spur of the moment review did really well and people seemed to enjoy it, so here's a review of my second order I did from Stimtastic! (I got this stuff only a few days after the last order, it's been a while oops)
This is the order! I also got a reversible sequin bag and another of the brushes, which I gave to some friends. Overall I enjoy the things from this order much more than the first (tho I like both) since I had a better idea of what type of stim toys I liked.
The brush is AMAZING. It's so stimmy!! The texture is phenomenal and it also makes a really satisfying noise when you quickly run your hands over it! It's also very fun to flap with; In my next order I definitely want to get a second one so I can flap with both hands at once with it. The only downside is that it gets dirty quite easily, especially with hair. It can be washed pretty easily though, after all it is a brush!! This thing is definitely a 9.5/10, the half point taken off because of dirtyness.
Wacky tracks! You can get these from other places too, but I still included it in my order on a whim. I'm glad I did! It's one of my favorite stim toys I own by far, mostly because of the noise it makes. I also got lucky and got one in my two favorite colors lol. It started a bit stiff and hard to move, but after a few days of playing with it I no longer needed to use so much force. 10/10, I'll probably get another one in the same colors to make it longer.
Silicone straw! I got this because I have a bad habit of chewing up plastic straws, and hey it helps reduce waste! I like that it came with a brush (not in the pic) and a nice little case! The main downside of the straw is it has a chemical taste to it that hasn't gone away with washing. It's pretty noticable when chewing :/. Still, for only a dollar, it's pretty good! 5/10
Finally, the soft chewelry bundle! I loved how cheap this bundle is; It's only 12 dollars! The tag is my favorite, since it's so soft and flexible I can chew on it without any fatigue and it's nice to suck on. The dulcimer is very nice for molar chewing, though mine has a slight defect on the underside that gives it a bad texture so I don't use it as much as the tag. The tube is very springy and makes a nice sound, though it's hard to chew on without getting spit all over you due to its shape!! Overall these are very nice chewies for soft chewers like me, 8/10 (the tag is a 10/10 though!)
Overall this purchase was very good! I highly recommend Stimtastic, their items are high quality and very well priced!
