Because I was able to keep calm and not yell at a patron, I will let it out here.
One of our custom service staff members offered to help you, but you rejected her curtly. She asked if I would try because one of our first missions here is to help those that come to us.
Yes, I caught that look when you glanced up at my beautiful trans self and said that you didn't think I'd be able to help you. Mother fucker, you're writing a MS Word document. I've been using MS Word since version 6.0 was released, so about 30 years now. I seriously doubt you're doing anything I don't know how to do.
And then you said that you wanted V to help you. Really? Yeah... can I watch while that happens? Guess who V goes to with all of his computer questions.
You rejected the first offer of help because she was a woman and mine because I'm trans? You want help from a staff member who is much less knowledgeable in this area because he's a man?

It’s so funny to me when assholes act like things have to be explicitly spelled out for them all the time or else it doesn’t exist. Way to broadcast the fact that you have no media literacy whatsoever and cannot grasp anything beyond surface level.
I once drew the Pure Vessel (Hollow Knight) with the agender flag when I was still on Reddit and the comments were a shitshow (I knew it would be)
I distinctly remember one person, when I told them the vessels use it/its pronouns and not he/him, “I must’ve missed them going on and on about it in game.” Same goes the other way, pal- they were exclusively it/its and never “went on about” using he/him pronouns.
People were trying to argue with me on its pronouns when it literally canonically has no gender, and is literally contrasted with “The Gendered Child” who is distinct for having one.
And oooh don’t get me started on the transphobic parts of the Deltarune fandom with their “Kris is a self insert so you’re supposed to use your pronouns on them” when a major point of the game is that Kris is NOT a self insert and you are NOT them.
These people miss everything, then get upset when you inform them on the media they ignored half the information about because they hate looking wrong. And it’s pretty damn annoying, especially when you have introjects of those characters so it becomes something of a personal affair. Unfortunately we can’t usually bring that up because people are super ableist and will immediately discredit you for being neurodivergent.

Gwen is trans the same way that Peter B Parker is Jewish in that it's 100% entirely canon but if your ability to interpret visual media begins and ends with character dialogue you're going to miss 100% of the demographic information of any character because there's basically no situation where it would make thematic sense for Spider-Man to say "oh and by the way, I'm trans and Jewish"
Anti-xenics are so concerned that xenogenders "make queer people look bad," but if anything this shows that xenogenders can help cishet people understand all queer identities better. And, hell, it seems not only effective, but fun! You get them involved and get them to think about their own gender in such a different light and that just seems really fun and memorable, you know?
Xenogenders don't make queer people look bad. Never have, never will. The same people that anti-xenics are so desperate to please are the same ones who hate all queer people, even the most "palatable" and "normal" of us. Most queerphobes aren't even aware of xenogenders- I mean, hell, look at transphobic news, look at how much of it focuses on binary trans people or gay people or other "normal" queer people.
Those bigots who are aware of xenogenders intentionally refuse to listen and misunderstand the concept to weaponize it, because they know turning us against one another makes us easy to exterminate. The kinds of people complaining about kids "identifying as cats and using litter boxes in schools" aren't just targeting xenogenders, if they are even aware of them (many aren't)- no, they're after all trans people, and eventually all queer people if they can conquer that smaller target.
The same people who use xenogenders and neopronouns as proof of how "ridiculous" we are aren't just after xenogenders and neopronouns. They want all of us gone. They mock neopronouns while addressing binary trans people because they often don't know the difference, and they just don't care. They don't care if that trans person supports xenogenders or not. We all look the same to them; we're all "freaks" who "defy nature" and they hate all of us equally.
The best thing we can do is stick together and support each other. Trying to appeal to them, trying to compromise, it just makes us weaker, divided, easier to destroy.

Hey, for everyone saying xenogenders are chronically online: Today in psych class we talked about gender dysphoria and I got to illustrate my view of gender graphically. It looked like a venn diagram with four heavily overlapping circles - one of them was xenogender.
My class was ENTIRELY receptive to it. This receptiveness included a straight, cis, white, christian male who had never heard of it before. And he was totally cool with it! We even took two minutes going on about what our gender would be if we described it in xenic terms. My teacher said he'd be the point of a mountain that intersects with clouds in the sky. Another said a ball of lint. I said the ocean. Not one of us said it was "impossible" or "cringe" or any of that xenogender-phobic shit.
If you're xenogender you're valid. The world, the real, offline world thinks so too. What's "chronically online" and "cringe" is being full of hate.

I actually love hearing about reformed people's stories. I love hearing about people who were in toxic communities or people who used to objectively be dickheads talking about how they got out of that. How they made themselves better.
I hate how most people's initial reaction to stories like that are things like:
"How could you have ever done those things?!" "Oh my god, you believed those things?!" "Well it doesn't un-do the harm you did!"
People incessantly advocate for change but then refuse to allow people who have changed the grace of being acknowledged and given opportunities and chances.
I love hearing about ex-antis talking about how they don't spend their days being angry and sending death threats anymore.
I love hearing about ex-homophobes who realized there's no magic law about what is "natural."
I love reformed bullies talking about how they made amends with their victims and spend their days being considerate of others.
You can't scream about wanting people to change but then expect them to spend the rest of their lives stuck in the past and on who they used to be. You can't expect people to spend the entire rest of their lives grovelling and apologizing and demeaning themselves.
Instead of clinging to who they were, latch onto who they are.
Ask how they got out of it. Commend them on changing. Enjoy that there's one less cause of harm in the world.
That post you made about Harry Potter and how to not financially support and fund the franchise and put more money in Joanne's pockets felt like a lie because I swear I got the impression that even that wasn't allowed when the whole thing started
To be clear; I stopped. Completely. I compartmentalized it all and just stopped interacting with anything Harry Potter online whatsoever. But I always wished it would be fine to still be able to do certain fandom things without supporting her, but people were saying that even using the tag or reading the fanfiction or making fanart was still supporting the ip and not letting it die completely as a topic on the internet was indirectly putting money in her pockets.
It wasn't until I came across a post from a queer woman from somewhere in the global south with heavy OCD and intrusive thoughts or something like that, commenting on how hostile of a thing it became for someone of her affliction; the way people were treating it like do or die. Pointing out that no matter how much trans people and allys cut off their support of her, she has other large means of income that we won't be able to touch, and there will still always be transphobic homophobic Harry Potter fans that will continue to support her actively, putting that money in her pockets. Another thing she mentioned was the treatment of Harry Potter and Joannes bigotry in contrast to the treatment of FNAF and the creators bigotry. And lastly something about the USAmericanized nature of it? I don't really remember that part but I think I understood it at the time I read it (maybe it was something about all the other countries the IP is popular in who are probably more conservative and unaware or caring of the issues with her who will still put money in her pockets, or maybe it was something about American fans fixating and posing the support of her as the ultimate battlefield of Trans Rights to other queer and trans individuals trying to be quiet fans who are facing Much Worse in their countries)
Anyways after that I briefly started reading ao3 fanfic again, just put a filter for anything before 2019 or so, and then my interest more gently fizzled out.
I can't remember what my point is anymore, maybe just to bring these arguments to your attention(also I am not arguing against the financial boycott or ending of support for this woman through her ip).
Harry Potter will never stop earning money. That's just the flat reality of it; I mean, look at the likes of Elvis and the original Sherlock Holmes books and every other 'dead' media that's still earning money. Short of making Harry Potter an illegal piece of media, yes, there will still always be a number of people giving her money.
The goal is to give her less money. To turn Harry Potter from a prominent, profitable cashcow into a defunct piece of media that only select groups are still clinging to. To make it so that JK Rowling has to choose between paying her bills and funding anti-trans movements.
When something stops bringing in a certain amount of profit, studios start looking elsewhere. When a cashcow starts drying up, they stop trying to milk it as hard. Which in turn means less productions for JK Rowling to collect her pocketmoney from.
What would you rather; JK Rowling getting $100,000 or JK Rowling only getting $10,000?
Something is better than nothing. Damage reduction is better than open exposure. If everyone just rolled over and gave up because "things will keep happening anyway" the world will literally be a rancid, fetid wasteland of bigotry and violence.
I'd much rather watch JK Rowling fizzle out into a bitter old wench sustained only by the dogged support of other stubborn bigots than watch people willingly disregard and condone bigotry because its "easier" and "she'll be a bigot anyway."
I'd much rather JK Rowling only have $10,000 to donate to shitty movements over $72,000. Shitty movements can do a lot less with a lot less money.
Can we please freaking normalize that it’s okay for girls to be taller than guys in relationships? that heights really don’t matter that much? that girls shouldn’t have to try and shrink so they’re smaller than the men around them. Because I’m sick of people being like “Oh you only date taller men? You’re so shallow” Because I don’t care about your height guys. I don’t . But society has made you feel like you can’t handle a woman with some height and that it somehow makes you less of a man. I’ve dated guys who have literally broken up with me because I was taller than them. By like an inch. Like that’s stupid. The length of your femur doesn’t define you. Your heart, your personality, your actions, that’s who you are. Your height doesn’t do that.

Interesting question...what happens when/if Jikook finally reveal themselves as a couple/married? What will those obsessed people do? (The ones who are obsessed with proving they are a couple although they don't give a damn about them?) Are they capable of moving on to something else? Because then the mystery is gone and their reason for trying so damn hard to prove Jikook is a couple is gone - then what? What do people with that kind of mindset do after?

Just to be clear, are you asking if i think about the obsessed jikookers who seem to be in it for their own gratification?
Short answer:
No, i dont really think about them.
I have had a few encounters with people who seem to think about nothing else. Although I try to avoid the sassaeng-level obsessed people, truthfully i can also be a little single minded... I'm ND and have trouble with moderation.
(I spent an inordinate amount of time during covid, watching grainy fancams from 2015, to fill a void in my life and a gap in my understanding of how their relationship developed)
But i know that being wholy consumed by any one thing is a little unhealthy, so for my own mental well-being I try to have some balance.
However, now i AM thinking about them now, so back to your question 😁
Will people who don't reallly care about jikook move on, if they don't have anything prove/fight for?
If they are the type to always go looking for something to brawl over, then i guess they will move on. And good riddance. Jikook doesn't need supporters who are only there to stir up drama.
I think there are also those agressive and obsessed jkkrs and tkkrs who would continue to throw poop at each other even if jikook livestreamed their wedding and had Tae as their best man. Those people may not really care about JM and JK in particular but they will NEVER GIVE UP on PRINCIPLE.
Jikook doesn't need supporters like that either, imo.
But what about those of us who do care about them and their happiness?
Will people who are obsessed with proving the relationship and who do genuinely care also move on?
These are the jkkrs who want to bask in the glow of true love, but also like to fight a good fight.
Will they lose interest if they don't have the obsessive need to prove the naysayers wrong?
My guess is no, because the joy of watching jikook together is euphoric in itself. Their obvious adoration and the care and dedication give us reasons too smile.
But they might miss the good ol' days of slapping back at tkkrs or high-fiving their jkkr friends when they cut down a toxic solo with a well timed caustic response. (That is kinda gratifying, let's be honest.) They might miss the detective work and in depth analysis of every bit of footage.
So maybe also yes. They might need a new adventure. I'm not saying they will stop caring about jikook, but i think they may seek out a new cause to fight for. As a side interest 😉.
Then again, if jikook DID come out, all hell would break loose. Jikook crusaders (said fondly) would have new banners to gather under because fires would be burning on every front. Many of us - even the quiet ones on the sidelines - would probably be fighting for them.
In fact if they did come out, i think (hope) those of us who have been interested but not entirely invested (and definitely not obsessed with proving anything) would rise up too.
Jikook don't really need us now, but they will need us if it ever happens. And i hope that we - the reservists let's call ourselves - will be prepared to fight. Just like JK was when Yoongi whacked that shuttlecock at JM.
As for me, I would stand shoulder to shoulder with all and any supporters to defend them. And I truly hope all armys, but especially the Jimin and Jungkook biased armys, would rally behind them under a rainbow flag. Because tkkrs arent the real enemy imo. They are just sad, angry people with no idea what true love looks like.
The real enemies are the bigots who hold power, and the institutionalised homophobia that threatens their safety, career and happiness.

I'm a trans lesbian whose best friend is a lesbian who's nonbinary but AFAB and used to be a te/rf YEARS and years ago as an early teen, and pretty much everything she's said about it fits with what you said about feeling trapped by womanhood leading to transmisogyny. and even beyond that, from how she's talked about it, it just sounds like... such a sad mentality. like obviously fuck them, they chose and are choosing to be hateful, but it sounds like it just leads to such a horrible sense of self. like you're a woman therefore you MUST be suffering all the time. not to mention how awful they are to each other regularly
Oh yeah, like not to sympathize with bigots too much but from what I've seen, a lot of radfems are like.... very deeply traumatized people. Part of why they talk so much about "sex based oppression" in the first place is because they've experienced many of the worst forms of mistreatment and abuse associated with being a woman and are insulted that anyone (like me, for instance), could view being a woman as a fun thing that lets me feel more like myself.
And to be 100% clear, 1) not all terfs are like that. A lot of them are just assholes who refuse to listen to other perspectives 2) getting involved in radfem communities is an EXTREMELY unhealthy trauma response and 3) despite all this, radfems are still not worth getting in extended conversations with online because once you get deep enough into that shit it's next to impossible to talk someone out of it in those circumstances
So as much as I *want* to sympathize with someone who has endured so much abuse, they make it very, very difficult to do so and probably would not even want my sympathy to begin with.
