Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria is such a weird theory because it's like there's a very obvious explanation for why middle school kids who didn't have dysphoria before might suddenly have dysphoria. Like huh weird I wonder what very obvious and widely known change that could cause kids to suddenly become very uncomfortable in their gender or sexual identity starts in between the ages of 10 and 14. Guess we'll never know. Must be peer pressure to *checks notes* become the only gender minority in your whole school singling you out for harassment by your peers. Couldn't be puberty suddenly giving you new body parts/bodily functions that are wrong for you.

dear internauts hopefully reading this post

my real name will remain anonymous but you can call me Olivia, I am a worker in the fan project @the-rainbow-neighborhood as a voice actress and an artist and I'm proud to say that this is the first job i have to finally enter this beautiful place called the animation company under the hand of a nice boss.

sadly, most of the people working in this proyect (the boss included) are rather young, some underage even, we all have passion on creating a fan serie based on welcome home, and Welcome home has a lot of LGBTQ content in it.

The KOSA laws will, instead of just censoring or regulating, ban the accounts of every user under the age of 18 from the internet to "protect" kids from dangerous content, and by dangerous content, they include LGBTQ, history of marginalized groups, mental health, sexual edication, birth control and abortion content and resources.

they will also use extremly invasive online surveillance of all internet users and with the invasive parental control they are going to use, children victims of familiar abuse won't be able to reach out for help.

Now, let's get personal, a lot of Staff in the TRN project staff is gay, trans and some of them went trough abusive family enviroments (names won't be revealed) a lot of us have sever mental issues and need help or at least venting. KOSA won't only delay the project, it will harm the staff in a personal level too!

there's nothing I can do due to not being american, but you can help, down there will be links in wich you can help to prevent KOSA from censoring freedom of expression and censoring our identities

Stop KOSA
Fight for the Future
KOSA is a censorship bill that won’t make kids safe. Instead, it'll put all internet users at risk, especially youth. If you believe in a fr
Bad Internet Bills

All of the bad internet bills. One website.

please, keep our children safe, and by our children, we mean ALL of them, the queer kids, the mentally ill kids, the neurodivergent kids, the trans kids, the AFAB kids, the children of color. ALL

remember, censorship, wont eliminate the creeps, it will just make them less vissible

Reminder:

Transphobia hurts all women, including cis women.

Statistics show that harassment and violence against cis women have increased ever since transphobes started to intensify discrimination against our trans sisters, trans brothers, and trans siblings...

This is because, as people have been encouraged to police and persecute trans folk, it has increased the ways in which people police the bodies, rights, and behaviors of women, and to demonize femininity, across the board.

Look it up.

Little cis girls have been harassed on sports fields, in schools, and on playgrounds for being tomboys and "appearing" to be trans; and some cis women have even been murdered on the mere suspicion of being trans.

The solution is NOT to be even more transphobic and find "better" ways to discriminate. 🙄 That is TRASH.

The solution is to stand firmly against the sexism that stands at the ROOT of homophobia, transphobia, and queerphobia to begin with; by standing against transphobia and discrimination against trans people.

The gender binary isn't real, bioesentiallism blows (not in the good way), and patriarchal structures are not worth defending.

Let people be whatever hue and color and texture of gender they are, stop policing them about it!

I'm a cis woman, but the concept of gender euphoria sounds strangely familiar to me.

I get the feeling of being happy and satisfied to be a woman (though, obviously, not happy with the way that some people and some institutions treat me because of my womanhood 😅), on occasion.

I remember the first time that I felt it.

The first time that I realized that I was a girl.

I couldn't have been older than three, though I suspect that I was only two.

I was in the house, playing in the hallway.

Bright sunlight was spilling from the big window above the kitchen counter at the end of the hall, where my mom was at the stove, cooking.

I ran -- or rather partly-ran, partly-pedaled, partly duck-walked towards the kitchen: because I was sitting on top of a tricycle.

And just outside the entrance to the kitchen, there was a full-length mirror.

So as I passed by, I stopped and turned to my left to take a look.

I saw me:

A plump, strong, healthy, brown little girl; sitting on top of a red-and-white tricycle; dressed in a delicate, pale-yellow, tulle-ruffled dress with short poofy sleeves (it had to have been my birthday or something, it was really pretty and nice).

My eyes were dark, deep-brown; and wide from play and excitement. Taino nose. Natural coily afro hair HUGE and out and floating free in a wild halo of airy softness.

I stuck my tongue out of the side of slightly berry-colored lips.

And after a moment, I grinned wide...

Me.

Hey!

That's me!

YES!!

*n0n* đŸ„łâœš PERFECT!!!! âœšđŸ„ł (â ïŸ‰â â—•â ăƒźâ â—•â )*.✧

It was pure joy, learning that about myself -- seeing myself, recognizing myself -- and feeling that who I looked like matched who I was completely; and being so happy with that knowledge.

I remember my mom's voice, full of mirth and surprise, asking, "What in the world are you doing over there?"

I giggled with a squeal of absolute delight and finished running towards her...

....

I want that for EVERYONE.

EVERYONE deserves to feel that way.

To look in the mirror, and feel affirmed and at ease and confident in who they are.

I will never understand those who feel that the answer to the pain and discomfort of trans folk is to "just force them to conform".

Fucking fuck that shit. Pure nonsense!

There were aliens colored differently. Blue and red, Yellow and purple. But they were still aliens. There were aliens with different types of antennas. Spiky and short, Tall and straight. But they were still aliens. There were aliens with different controls of the spaceship. Levers and buttons, Wires and panels. But they were still aliens. There were aliens who liked to change their antennas. Spiky to straight, tall to short. But they were still aliens. At the end of the day, they were just aliens.

RK Russell: Trans kids deserve the opportunities that made my NFL career possible
The more than 200 anti-trans bills under consideration across the country are not about youth sports, but about attacking and eradicating the most vulnerable

There’s a prevailing notion that sports are a microcosm of our society, but I believe the greater truth is that sports are the conductor of our society, a sculpture of what we hope to be in the future. Any athlete will tell you that sports is never just business. When it comes to racism and hate plaguing our communities, police brutality against Black and brown people, or anti-trans bills being passed across our nation, sports isn’t an escape from those realities. To use sports as a way to distract from the hate being perpetuated in our society today is heinous, but also to use sports to perpetuate hate is the exact opposite of what sports is all about, that love and communion that it’s possible to find.

[
] To exclude trans athletes is to use sport in direct opposition of where its true power lies. Sport is about change, about rooting for the underdog and building a dynasty from nothing but hard work, perseverance and love; love for your team, for your sport and for yourself. The exclusion of Black athletes back in the 40s and 50s wasn’t about the integrity of the sport but the division of our society. The rumor of a gay, bisexual or queer player in professional men’s sports isn’t about a media distraction but about the repositioning of toxic masculinity. The reason women athletes aren’t paid as much isn’t because their platform or performance is less but that media, business organizations, and ultimately our misogynistic society are afraid of just how big women’s influence and power is. The more than 200 anti-trans bills currently under consideration in state legislatures across the US are not about trans youth in sports, but about attacking, harming and eradicating the most vulnerable of us all.

US Soccer Star: Bills to Ban Transgender Kids from Sports Try to Solve a Problem that Doesn’t Exist

US Soccer Star:Bills To Ban Transgender Kids From Sports Try To Solve A Problem That Doesnt Exist

In the Washington Post Megan Rapinoe writes about the joy from being able to play sports as a child. She points out the American anti-trans bills  cause incredible harm to trans youth, who, like all kids in a global pandemic, are feeling isolated and need our compassion and support.

Megan Rapinoe plays for OL Reign in the National Women’s Soccer League and the U.S. women’s national team. She is an Olympic gold medalist and a two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup champion, as well as an ambassador for Athlete Ally, a nonprofit that advocates for equal opportunities in sports.

The photo above is from a photo shoot she and her girlfriend Sue Bird made for InStyle (photo: Beau Grealy).

She writes:

These bills are attempting to solve a problem that doesn’t exist. Transgender kids want the opportunity to play sports for the same reasons other kids do: to be a part of a team where they feel like they belong.

Proponents of these bills argue that they are protecting women. As a woman who has played sports my whole life, I know that the threats to women’s and girls’ sports are lack of funding, resources and media coverage; sexual harassment; and unequal pay.

I know what it feels like to be singled out and treated differently. No one should be treated unfairly because of who they are — and that is especially true of kids.

Adults can’t pretend that we care about the well-being of children while actively creating environments that cause serious harm to them. We can’t make demands for a false sense of fairness while ignoring the actual needs of women and girls

I want the trans youth in our country to know they are not alone. Women’s organizations, including the Women’s Sports Foundation, National Women’s Law Center and Gender Justice, along with sports icons including Billie Jean King and Candace Parker, agree that transgender girls and women belong in sports and should be able to participate alongside other girls and women.

Sick of cis people, and even some trans people, mocking and judging trans folk for not passing. For "not even trying" to pass.

Passing is not achievable for so many people. It's also not even a goal for many people.

Me telling you I'm a man should be enough to get me treated like one. Yes I have a high voice. Yes I have hips. Yes I wear makeup and have long hair.

But why does it matter? Why does it deem me not worthy of the respect to have my correct pronouns used?

I had top surgery to feel more comfortable in my own skin. So I could end the constant pain and discomfort of binding.

I want to go on T to be more comfortable in my own skin.

I don't live to serve or fulfill the unrealistic expectations of bigots.
