October 2020 Watchlist: Hispanic Heritage Month
Mid-September to mid-October is Hispanic Heritage Month: a celebration of cultures in the Spanish-speaking word. We love our foreign language selection, and going through it we found we had recommendations from every majority Spanish-speaking country/territory on the planet! Here are some of our faves.
If you'd like to see the full list, our synopsis, why we recommend, and who should watch, subscribe at $5/month on our Patreon @westsidevideo! We’re also prepared to explain the difference between Latino/a/e/x and Hispanic terms if you need to ask an educating-forward party instead of making your friends teach you.

Lo que puedo mostrar
A ti por culpa de mi
Falta de confianza en
El amor. Es como mi
Corazón es un florero
Llena de agua con deseo
De llenar con las bellas
Flores de tu amor, pero
Mi cuerpo se falta los
Habilidades de jardineras.

i started thinking abt it so i can’t let it go but mattheo riddle is SUCH a no sabo i just KNOWWWW he mispronounces words and misuses grammar in spanish all the freaking time.
m: “me..llamo, um… es”
m: “yo soy…muy bien”
and as if theo wasn’t cocky enough, i feel like he learned spanish just to spite mattheo (also probably to get more game and bc it was easy to learn as a fluent italian).
the first time mattheo learns theo speaks 100x better than him is when he introduces himself to a new student who doesn’t speak english.
t: “hola, come estáis?”
m: “you’ve got to be fucking joking.”
MATTHEO RIDDLE IS WHITE???
well technically since he’s the son of voldy moldy he is, except if you consider his mother, however she might be, is latina. his fancast benjamin wasdworth has mexican origins but he’s american, however the character that we use as inspiration for mattheo, marcus lopez, is from nicaragua
so the fandom has this little headcanon of mattheo speaking spanish/being latino but it’s not entirely canon since the character in himself isn’t !
Got my DELF exam results back and I officially have the French B2 diploma!! I got an 81% and though I think I could have done better, I am just glad that the entirely nightmarish routine of reading 92728 articles and listening to 98228 podcasts about French sociopolitical problems everyday is gone! Now I just have to focus on Spanish and Italian in order to obtain the DELE and the CILS…

Being bilingual is fun because you get to short circuit in two languages instead of one!
Aside from regular brain malfunctions, you can learn a concept for the first time in your second language so your brain will automatically default to that language instead when talking about it, you can substitute native conjuctions in favor of the second language's and slash all meaning from your sentences for an interlocutor, AND you can feel like you're getting worse at BOTH languages every time you open your mouth to verbalize!
I've also spoken in some amalgamation of different English accents and phrases from all over the world since elementary school. It has gotten me many a weird look.
I forget common words, use words nobody around me knows, and all in all I just come off very incongruent.
my spanish teacher had a fanny pack she didn’t want, so she just gave it to me???
my day cant get any better than this can it
Todavía no he encontrado a nadie que hable español en esta plataforma 😔

The link to this image leads to this Wattpad. The story, when translated is:
"The Omega of The Lycanthrope King." It is in Spanish, so I couldn't read it, even with my computer being able to translate the title.
The story and image belong to TaraShinka on Wattpad:

I put this link up if you are interested in her stories (and can read Spanish). I wish I could, I would SO read this and her other stories.
Anyway, enjoy!
Just heard someone refer to the Italian language as "Garlic Flavored Spanish" and honestly idk how to feel about that.
He still burns in my heart 🔥x🔥
