Potion of Extreme Stamina
This is a Skyrim-inspired potion I came up with for those days when you just need a little boost, when you’re having trouble keeping up, and you just can’t make those power attacks anymore.
- one part lavender - one part Douglas fir needles (or cedar, or pine, depending on your location. just be ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN you know the species you are taking needles from of you collect them yourself, and make very sure that they are safe to ingest) - one part spearmint - one cinnamon stick - one part green tea blend of choice for flavor - one part honey
(Measurements for a mug of potion. If making a large batch, double up ingredients. The large batch I made was about three cups after boil and simmer.)
Boil the amount of water you need, then add the ingredients. Let boil for one minute, then simmer covered for five minutes. When finished, strain into container of choice. Wait to cool, then take a swig and enjoy a stamina regen.

university/college witch tips
☕️ brew a cup of tea in between, after, and/or before classes. use herbs according to certain correspondences(I personally use lavender & chamomile after class, rosemary & mugwort before or in between if I have enough time). stir in sugar with intention. pour in a thermos if you’re on the go.
☀️ wake up 20 minutes early and meditate. set intentions or goals for the day, say your prayers, give thanks to the universe or to your deity, focus on your chakras. whatever feels right and simple, make it a part of your morning. [alternative: if you have 20 minutes in between classes this can really help you unwind before your next class]
🎧 instead of listening to your regular music, find something spiritually enriching to listen to when you have a moment. there’s plenty of wonderful spirits on youtube, instagram, etc. that speak to me on a daily. listen to an astrology forecast, a tarot reading, info on certain gods or deities, other witches and their practice, anything that resonates with you. [alternative: find witchy playlists on spotify, tumblr, or 8tracks* ]
📔 combine your practice with your planner. jot down the astrological influences of each week/day. track your tea intake. record pre-planned workings/spellwork/rituals/etc. dedicate a spread to your intentions each Moon cycle, at the end of the cycle cross off everything that manifested, migrate the remaining intentions to the next spread. this is a great pastime when you’re bored in class
♥️ shuffle your tarot/Oracle/etc. cards in class. take them with you throughout the day, let them experience what you do. at the end of the day ask them for their thoughts, or any other thing you feel. make sure to cleanse your deck however you prefer after a long day, your cards will absorb all the energy around you and it may lead to them acting wonky
🖊 draw sigils to help you study and prepare for tests. if you’re struggling with lateness, come up with a sigil to help you be more time efficient. if you suck at homework, write a symbol for wisdom or focus on yourself before you start doing it. sigils are an urban witches best friend
💸 to save money, diy items for your altar. if you live on a college campus, there’s plenty of places where people give away unwanted items either or free or really cheap. get them, if they resonate. paint them, sculpt around them, whatever. then put it on your altar

I’ve been experimenting in the kitchen with different tea ingredients, holding a desire to create my own signature tea. Here’s my favorite combination: my Floral Goddess tea! The fragrance reminds me of a fairy garden, and the ingredients remind me of a potion Aphrodite would drink herself. Enjoy! 🥀

Moxie (Pokemon Inspired)
A spell to bring you self-confidence.

You Will Need:
★ Sardonyx ★ Ginger Root (preferably dried) ★ Thyme (preferably dried) ★ Bowl ★ Plastic Bag ★ Mug ★ Water ★ Yellow Candle ★ Optional: Image of a pokemon that has the ability Moxie (ie: Mightyena)
Steps:
★ In your bowl add your ginger root and thyme and light your candle.
★ Place your Sardonyx into the plastic bag, and if you are using a pokemon image add that into the bag as well. Place the bag into the bowl of herbs and submerge it.
★ Place your hands over the bowl and focus on your intent to become more confident in yourself and your abilities. Keep this up for as long as you desire
★ Remove your bag once you feel ready and in heated water in your mug steep some of the herbs from the bowl into it. You may mix it with a tea you enjoy, honey, sugar, etc to taste
★ With candle still burning drink your tea focusing on your intent and feeling the tea running downing your throat as you drink it. Visualize as you find best
★ Once finishing your tea dispose of the rest of your herbs as seen fit (such as throwing into a fireplace or into a garden or in the garbage) and distinguish your candle
★ You may carry the Sardonyx with you if you desire
Some things you can add to your tea, as a witch
🍓 Berries - There’s nothing like a hot cup of camomile tea with a few fresh blueberries. Blueberries = Protection // Raspberries = Protection & Love // Strawberries = Love & Luck // Blackberries = Protection, Healing & Money
🍯 Honey - Adds that extra bit of sweetness and honey is great for love and binding. Green tea with a little honey would be the perfect start for a self-love spell or ritual.
🥛 Milk - I like to use almond milk. Almonds are great for fertility, money and luck spells. It also taste really good! I find taste best in black tea.
🍋 Lemon - Tastes great in green tea. Lemon is great for purifying and cleansing in spells and rituals. Would be an awesome tea to enjoy next time you do a cleansing meditation for your chakras.
🎄 Cinnamon - This one makes me think of winter and Yule but it taste so good. Especially when you pair it with a little bit of honey. Cinnamon is most commonly used in witchcraft related to healing, love, money and happiness.
🌿 Peppermint - It’s an acquired taste, for sure, but it’s very yummy in most teas and can help relieve nausea, gas and stomach cramps.
🥄 Ginger - Another that’s an acquired taste. It’ll definitely add a zing to your tea but it can help with flu symptoms and nausea. Used in witchcraft to help “speed things up” or “add passion” to spells.
Happiness Tea Spell
One of my favorite tea recipes that I like incorporating into my day whenever I need that extra little boost.
1 part lemon balm
1/2 part lavender
1/2 part rose petals
Blend and prepare your tea, steeping for 4-6 minutes. While steeping, breathe in the warmth and say "A cup of tea, a simple request. Fill my day with what I love best. With joy in my soul and hope in my heart, I thank the gods [universe, whatever feels right to you] for this new spark."
If you want to add a little extra layer to this spell, I like lighting a yellow candle during the process, as well as placing a citrine by my cup while the tea is steeping so I can infuse the brew with its energy.
To the one follower who is waiting patiently for my flint knapping post I will get on it soon 🖤
For now a recipe for good luck loose leaf tea:
2-3 apples (I make this when I'm making apple pie)
Cinnamon sticks
Some ground ginger (optional)
A bit of sugar
Black loose leaf tea (I use supermarket plain loose leaf tea as the base for this recipe, the nicer stuff does taste better but you're going to flavour it anyway so it doesn't really matter)
Preheat the oven to about 180c fan
1. Peel the apples in small-ish pieces, the apple peel is the star of the show here. Coat it with sugar and ground ginger if using, then place on a lined baking tray
2. Cover the peel with tea leaves and broken up pieces of cinnamon sticks (1-2 sticks, depending on how cinnamony you like it). This is where you say your good luck charm.
3. Wack it in the oven for at least half an hour, taking it out to mix and turn over the peel. You want the peel to be dehydrated but not burnt (browned is fine), the tea leaves should help soak up some of the liquid.
4. Take the tea out to cool down, and once cooled add to a sterilised jar or paper bag, whatever you store your tea in. Make sure to seal it to keep the flavour stronger!
1 table spoon makes a decent cuppa, 2-3 if you're making a pot. Mixing in some honey can be nice, but it tastes better without milk in my opinion.
Attraction Tea (to aid in love magic)
This is a tea I would make to enhance any love magic I performed. Hell, you can even set your intention to be all about self-love too. It's versatile enough.
I don't have proportions because this was a fave during my more chaotic and less organized days of practice, but I prefer it with more emphasis on the rose, and then using the rest to your preference.
Rose petals
Cinnamon
Ginger
A little honey as desired
Mix your ingredients(except for honey!) together and put in a tea infuser, bag, etc. Prepare your tea. As it steeps, breathe in it's steam and hold your intention in your mind as you exhale.
This can be done on its own or in conjunction with a more elaborate working. If, while enjoying this by itself, you want to add a little atmosphere, light pink candles and incorporate rose quartz for a softer vibe, or opt for red candles and carnelian for something a little more passionate.
Kitchen Witch Tea Spell- Find Yourself
For those days when you feel stuck and like you don't even know who you are anymore, this tea ritual might come in handy. It isn't a great big cure-all that will fix everything, but it definitely helps me to not feel like I'm floating away.
Tea Ingredients
1 part lemon balm (tranquility)
1/2 part rose (love)
1/4 part lemongrass (remove blocks)
1/4 nettle leaf (courage, healing)
Prepare tea to your liking. I prefer adding a little honey to sweeten the mood. Light two candles, one black to banish the negativity that clouds you, one white for cleansing your energy.
Sit quietly, channeling your intention into the tea. Say:
"My energy wanes, but now it grows,
I search my heart by candle's glow.
Chaos and clutter, I dismiss from here
I call myself home and banish doubt and fear."
Drink your tea. Take the time to do whatever spiritual work calls to you as the candles burn. I prefer working with Hestia, as domestic work feels very grounding. But you do whatever feels right for you.
When you're ready, say a little word of gratitude to the universe and carry on.
Kitchen Witch Recipe: Lavender-Infused Honey
This is a yummy little recipe that incorporates two of my favorite things: lavender and honey (as the title of this post suggests).
From a culinary viewpoint: it's so good drizzled over yogurt or freshly baked bread. Add it to your tea for a soothing sweetener (I'm especially fond of adding it to bedtime teas).
From a witchy viewpoint: Both lavender and honey are associated with love magic. Honey always felt more of a warmer sort of love energy, whereas lavender is a calmer love. Together, they're a bit like a warm, magical hug: soothing, secure, peaceful, and happy.
Ingredients
Raw honey
Food-grade lavender dried lavender buds
Instructions
Prepare your jar and lid.
Your ratio should be 1 part lavender to 4 parts, so fill your container about 1/4 of the way with lavender buds.
Fill the jar with honey. Use a spoon to give it a good swirl and incorporate the lavender.
Tighten your lid and leave the jar in a cool, dark place for about Teo weeks.
Once the time is up, strain your honey through a fine mesh strainer. Return the filtered honey to your jar and enjoy
Kitchen Witch Recipe: Illness Protection Tea
This is a tea that I like during the fall and winter months because of the warmth, but it's also a helpful little potion for wellness.
Ingredients
Ginger tea for healing
Cinnamon sticks for cleansing
Lemon slices for purification
Cloves for protection
Honey for comfort and warmth
Instructions
Simply brew your tea. While it's steeping, add in the cinnamon, lemon and cloves (I didn't include quantities because the flavor profile comes down to preference). Before drinking, add a little honey and stir either clockwise to invite healing energies in or counterclockwise to banish illness.
As you stir, you may want to call upon any deities associated with healing. I usually invoke Apollo for this. If you don't work with deities, simply channeling your intention and working with the healing energies is also a good option.
✨ Tea Magic ✨
there are plenty of ways to work to work a little magic into your day without doing a full on ritual, and your daily (hourly?) tea is one of them! here’s just a couple of suggestions with fruit, flowers, herbs, and their correspondences.

most teas fall under a few categories: tea plant, floral, fruit and herbal. teas can be considered type of potion called an infusion. various types of teas have different steeping times and water temperatures, but you can always chill them and drink them cold too! most teas have some form of the tea plant in them mixed with other ingredients, but herbal teas do not.
teas like white, green, oolong, and black tea come from the same plant ”Camellia sinensis”, and the flavors/properties depend on how the leaves have aged/fermented. these are listed in the amount of least➡️ most fermentation.
white tea - air magic, purification, protection, clarity, realization, meditation, cleansing green tea - fire magic, healing, love, catalysts, mindfulness, passion, sexual health and new energies oolong tea - water magic, wisdom, reflection and deep concentration, beauty and emotional connections black tea - strength, stability, endings, finished business, and banishment, expelling negativity. (x)
fruit teas will correspond to the meanings of those fruits, strawberry for love, lemon for cleansing, etc. fruit teas often have the tea plant in them.
floral teas will correspond to the meanings of those fruits, rose for love, lavender for peace, etc. floral teas often have the tea plant in them.
herbal teas will correspond to the meanings of those herbs, mint for wealth, rosemary for protection, etc. herbal teas usually do not have any of the tea plant in them.

Anti-anxiety Herbs
A list of herbs that help reduce stress & anxiety & how to use them.
Chamomile: Top of the list because it’s my personal favourite. Chamomile is very calming, & also helps calm the nervous system, reducing physical & emotional tensions & helping to soothe, & calm the mind. Chamomile tea is very effective in relieving anxiety, & can also be used in combination with other herbs as an edible oil to take internally for an instant relief. The smell of Chamomile alone is very calming & for these reasons it can also be used in aromatherapy remedies as incense or facial mists.
Lavender: Lavender is also very soothing & has a slight sedative effect. Use Lavender alone, or in combination with other herbs to place inside a pillow to aid in a restful sleep. Lavender can also be drunk as a tea to provide relief from emotional tensions & anxieties, & aid in soothing the nervous system, relieving physical stress as well.
Green Tea: Helps by relieving heart rate, & blood pressure, & cleans & detoxifies the blood at the same time. Provides mental clarity & reduces anxiety whilst improving focus, preventing one from becoming lethargic.
Hops: Used in sleep pillows, & edible anti-anxiety oils & tinctures. Hops has mild sedative effects.
Valerian: Valerian is a strong sedative herb & can help promote a deep, restful sleep. It produces an unpleasant smell, so is usually taken as a supplement or tincture, but can also be used in combination with other fragrant herbs to drink as tea.Valerian has such strong sedative effects that it is advised only taking this herb in the evening, before bed. A good aid for insomniacs.
Lemon Balm: Lemon Balm has been used since the middle ages to help reduce stress & anxiety. It is useful in promoting both a calm, & more alert state of mind. Commonly taken as a tea, tincture, or capsule supplement.
Passionflower: Passionflower has mild sedative properties & helps soothe & calm the nervous system & relieve anxiety. It is also a great aid for insomnia.

Note: All of these herbs can be used in herbal sachets & other magickal charms to relieve stress & anxiety.
Remember these are only herbal suggestions, NOT prescribed medicine, if you are already on medication, ask your doctor if it’s ok to use some of these herbs internally as some come can react with medication. Do not take too many sedative supplements at once & consult your doctor before internal use of any herbal supplements if you are pregnant.
