Diesel 10: *Turns towards Emily* And you. This will be your new home until your "girlfriend" comes and saves you. I'm love to see you rot in darkness.

Emily: First off. Don't call Rosie my "girlfriend". She's absolutely amazing and second. You might wanna check what's happening.

Diesel 10: What?-

*Dart, Den and Norman all get hit in the head by a frying pan*

Edward: Alright here we go! *Whips out machine gun.*

Diesel 10: Make another move and I'll shoot Emily myself!

*Gym goes completely dark*

Edward: *Whips out gun* One last verse before I pull a big move!

Oliver: What hold up man, don't do it dude!

Edward: *Shoots ceiling sprinkler setting it off*

Oliver: What... Was that the meant to do?

Edward: you'll see later.

*Suddenly, everything is thrown into chaos as something crashes into the wall. Edward quickly takes this opportunity to shoot Dennis and Norman, knocking the both of them down*

Oliver: What was that?!? Also, did you shoot Dennis and Norman!?!?

Edward: There's no time for chatter! You go and deal with the sniper while I deal with the rest of the diesels!

???: Right with you Eddie boy!

Oliver: Wait, who was that?!

Edward: Great! You're just in time!

*The figure is none other than Hank!*

Oliver: Oh! Another steamie! Man, it's nice to see another friendly face!

Hank: Hey! How ya doing? The name's Hank and I'm here to take down the diesels!

Edward: Oh crap, the diesels are surrounding us!

*The camera then cuts to the three surrounded by various diesels*

Oliver: I'm going to help Emily! I'll be right back!

*Oliver is then see running through the diesels and successfully dodges them. Edward and Hank are back to back while they face their foes*

Hank: Ya ready for this?

Edward: *Smirks* I'm always ready.

(I always have this feeling that the other diesels don’t like Dennis because he brings shame to them)

Honestly, I feel that many of the engines on Sodor would not be big on Dennis due to his slothful nature. They would most likely feel that he just slows down any work being done due to not doing anything. I do feel some would have pity on him, but most just are annoyed by him, especially if they are paired up with him for a task. That’s why Norman makes more appearances than Dennis, because, while Norman has engine issues, he at least tries. Hell even Derek tried harder than Dennis did, and Derek’s engine is in terrible shape.

(Btw, I personally don’t hate Dennis, but can see why the engines on Sodor wouldn’t like him. No one likes a slacker)

(Even the wiki on Dennis says that he isn’t popular. It says, “As a result of his laziness, he is very unpopular with other engines,”. I have the screenshot to prove it.)

So, what I’m saying is your right, he is not popular among the diesels, or any of the engines for that matter.

[Crovan's Gate, Sodor Steamworks, East Sodor]

The Foreman stepped out in front of the two shunters, "You're free to go Dennis." The grey diesel shunter murmured "Five more minutes. . . " under his breath, as he dozed.

The Foreman wasn't having any of this.

"Now. We need that space for any rolling stock or engines that may need repairs." As he said this another worker called out from another part of the works that another engine, likely James, would need that track Dennis was on today.

The Foreman signaled to Dennis' driver to try and start him up. After a few more moments of his driver trying to start him up, Dennis lazily opened his eyes, "Fiiinne." he groaned. His engine clattered to life and began to leave.

Norman watched his brother leave, he couldn't help but feel small twinges of resentment for Dennis. He had a fully functional engine, whilst Norman had to wait until the workers told him yet again there was very little they could do aside from a temporary patch job, and yet he had the audacity to waste his abilities on lazily resting when there was more than enough work to be done.

Norman however, held his tongue. Dennis was his brother and even if he held contempt for Dennis' habits, he still cared deeply about his brother, his twin.

Twins they may have been but no matter how physically alike, they'd always be polar opposites.

I'm going to be honest, given that fact Crovan's Gate is so skilled and all, I struggle to imagine how Norman's issues weren't seen to not long after his arrival. Or just in general. Same goes for Paxman.

So for now, unless contradicted by a later piece, imagine this is not long into Norman's being on Sodor.
