People Withscary Andweird Mental Issues I Love You.
people with ‘scary’ and ‘weird’ mental issues i love you.
i love schizophrenics. i love psychotic people, i love people on the schizospectrum, i love people with DID and OSDD, i love people with NPD, i love people with PPD, i love people with SPD, i love people with ASPD, i love people with personality disorders, i love people who hallucinate, people who have delusions, and people who have paranoia. i love people who are mentally ill in ways that are viewed as strange and scary by society.
it is not your fault that you struggle. you are valid. you are deserving of care and you are deserving of love. your issues do not negate any of that.

I have the unfortunate combination of a savior complex and low empathy. I feel compelled to try and save people begging to be saved, but I am woefully under-qualified for it.
A few of the potential physical effects of PTSD on the body:
Chronic pain (like fibromyalgia, crps, myofascial pain syndrome)
Chronic fatigue
Autoimmune diseases
Diabetes
Arthritis
Neurological disorders like FND (Paralysation is a possibility with FND, so yes, PTSD could potentially mean you would need a wheelchair).
Non epileptic seizures in the form of dissociations.
Gastrointestinal disorders like IBS
Dysautonomic disorders like POTS
That's not to say that PTSD always cause these problems, or these issues can only be caused by PTSD. It is however a potential.
(Still a good doctor should rule out other physical causes first before jumping on the PTSD/ "psychosomatic" bandwagon).
Also note, that just because PTSD might be causing your problems, that doesn't mean that they're not real. They are. But instead of a hardware problem, it's a software problem. Still very real, still not something that you're making up. The cause of it, is a sick brain in that case.
if you’re friends with the host of a system please PLEASE make an effort to get to know the others in the system. a lot of the time, since the host fronts the most, the other people in the system aren’t able to socialise as much and end up without much of a support group or many friends. reaching out means the world!!
- enquire about a certain headmate! how are they doing? what have they been up to?
- message alters even when they aren’t in front. make them feel wanted even when they’re not around
- @ them in things that remind you of them!! if they have their own accounts on tumblr send asks!!
being a member of a system comes with unrelenting struggles and worries, and it is in your power to be able to alleviate some of these concerns. make your system friends feel loved!! [:
I mainly use @welcome-to-the-agender-agenda. I have FND and DID. Happy to be hopefully relatable :)
If you have FND and also any type of dissociative disorder could you please interact with this (even just a like). I’m desperately looking for more blogs I can relate to!
