Ace & Luffy and Greek Tragedy
Ace and the Marineford summit war is essentially a retelling of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice where Ace is somehow both Orpheus and Eurydice.
Like don't get me wrong Luffy is very Orpheus coded
Like of course Luffy was going to descend into Empel down, a place where no one is ever supposed to come back from, to save his brother just as Orpheus descended into Hades to save his lover (Empel down is also literally underground as well). Of course, his love for his brother is so strong and his cause so moving he can't help but rally the world; friend and foe alike, around him. And of course before the eyes of gods and men, he gets Ace back, of course he does! his love for his brother can and has shaken the world.
But Ace has a bit of his tragedy too.
Because just like Orpheus, no matter how much you yell at him to keep going or get frustrated with the perceived stupidity of the choice, Ace was always going to look back, of course he was! How could he not? everything he loved was behind him.
And they'll tell the story a million times a million different ways but no one can deny that love was there. Love was there, and it wasn't enough to save Eurydice then and it won't be enough to save Ace now but it was there and to them that was enough, this proof that they have loved and been loved in turn is enough.
Orpheus and Luffy will carry this love turned anger turned grief everywhere they go, to the ends of the world and back again, they will never outgrow it. But one day they might find poeace in it, one day it will be enough for them too, this knowledge that they loved and they loved well.
Love can not save any of these characters from their fates but i can offer them comfort there at the end and give them courage to face it.
And isn't that proof enough?

This fic was inspired by @justcourttee - A Brother’s Love. I loved her fic and I couldn’t stop thinking….what if this happened?
Jason sighed, rereading the text he had gotten again from Gina.
Nona: Jay, I am unable to get to Paris in the time I wished. My son and his wife are having problems with my Little Fairy. They claim her to be a bully and a brute, but I know this is not my Little Fairy. I am her guardian now and my plan was to bring her with me. Go in my stead and take her to Gotham. She told me she has a date with her boyfriend, Adrien Agreste. Break the news to her gently.
Gina had traveled with him for awhile and was always there for him when he got in a fight with Bruce. They could disappear on the road and travel, forget their worries. Gina had told him about her granddaughter, her ‘Little Fairy’, Marinette Dupain-Cheng. She was an inspiring fashion designer, who was also her class’ president. She had designed for Jagged Stone and won a contest from Gabriel Agreste. She even had the opportunity to be mentored by Style Queen, herself, in New York, and turned it down. Gina had told him so many things about Marinette, he felt as if she was his little sister. When Gina told him that Pixie was getting bullied again and no one would help or see her side of things, he had gotten upset. Even her boyfriend had told her to make peace with the bully and to let it go. She had never asked him for a favor before and he didn’t want to let her down.
Jason had taken the first flight to Paris to bring his little sister home to Gotham. He watched as she left the bakery and pressed the button to head to the park when her phone rang.
“Adrien? Yeah, I’m just heading-Oh. Ye-Yeah, I can meet you there instead. Sure. Bye.” Marinette spoke and quickly took off in another direction.
'Sounds like a change of plans.’

Headcanon: Mario has always known about Luigi’s Anxiety. Whenever it gets to be really bad and/or something really traumatic happens that sets it off to a point where Luigi is completely shaken and unable to relax. Mario will gently press their foreheads together, keeping his eyes close and just breathes quietly until Luigi is finally able to calm down.

As much as I hate JKR, it's quite understandable. The Marauders from my understanding had this "Brotherly Bond" and loved eachother as brothers, not just James and Sirius. It ruins their original dynamic that the creator wanted to put.
I'm not trying to hate on Wolfstar, and this is just my opinion, so yeah have a wonderful day :)

summary: regulus had never once in his life received a christmas present until this morning

authors note: I wrote this ages ago lol
regulus was rather sad as he awoke on the morning of the 25th december. normally, every boy would be impatient and looking forward to this special day all december long. but christmas was nothing special in the black family.
at least not special regarding the wishes of a nine year old boy, such as regulus was one. he was dreading to stand up and get dressed. he hated these days. days on which special guests would visit the black house and join the festivities.
but to regulus' misfortune his mother, walburga black, held these events in a really high course. so she always made sure everything, especially her family, would be perfect when their guests arrived.
so just a few seconds after his awakening, a house elf knocked on the black wooden door to regulus' room.
„kreacher was told to make sure master regulus would be awake by now", the rather ugly-looking house elf spoke, as he lifted the curtains of regulus big window.
„thank you, kreacher. would you please tell my mother that im getting ready now?", the boy lifted his blanket and climbed out of his giant bed. When he was younger (about a year or two) he would use a small ladder to get in and out of it.
„of course, master regulus."
the elf turned around and made his way out of the room, just as regulus opened the door to his closet, to reveal the neat suit that was hanging on the back side of its door.
regulus sighed, again, knowing how formal and unrelaxed this day would go for him.
as regulus made his way out of the closet (no pun intended), formely dressed and ready, at that, he heard a soft knock at his door.
"yes?", asked regulus as he watched the door expectively. in marched his brother, formely known as sirius black.
"sirius!", regulus grinned as his brother closed the door quietly and made his way to the bed to sit down comfortably.
"hello regulus", sirius spoke. "how are you feeling this fine morning?"
"bored"
"no wonder", sirius adjusted his position. "mother is more stressed than last year, because a few special guests will come this year". sirius rolled his eyes so high, that regulus could only see the white in them.
"more special than last year?", regulus asked, worriedly, still remebering the unexpected visit of the prime minister from the year before and his mothers not so relaxed reaction to that. the brothers had to hide under a table the whole evening long, in fear to fall into the aroused hands of their mother.
"apparently" sirius sighed and rubbed his temple. "i can't wait to go to hogwarts and get out of all of this"
"you know that she will still make you come, right?", regulus asked
"of course, but atleast i don't have to put up with this the whole year. i will get a tiny bit of freedom and only come on the day of the festivity so i don't have to be present when this woman throws one of her tantrums."
"if only i could come with you"
"dont worry, little brother. its only one more year and than you can join me at hogwarts. but now, i have a little surprise for you"
regulus raised his eyebrows at sirius and sat down next to him on the large bed. "a surprise? what do you mean?"
"i mean this"
sirius reached into the pocket of his suit and took out a little box, messily wrapped in paper.
"what is this?", regulus asked
"its a present, reg. i read about it in a muggle book. this is what other kids get on christmas morning"
regulus brought the box up to his eyes to inspect it further.
in his nine years living, regulus arcturus black had never received a present. because of that he never got to know, what the term actually meant. he admired his brother for knowing all this, because he always knew things that regulus didn't. it was sirius big interest of knowledge, of freedom and the thought of knowing things his mother wouldn't let the teacher inflict on them.
regulus, on the other hand, wasn't like that. he never had enough bravery to do the things his mother didn't want him to. so adapted to everything he was allowed to do and tried to like it.
as regulus finally unwrapped the present a small amulette fell into his hands. as he opened it he could saw a picture of him and his brother on the right side and his full name and a rather weird looking painting at the left side.
"that is the star that you're named after, regulus", sirius spoke after he noticed the confusion on regulus' face.
regulus smiled. "thank you sirius. i like it very much". the nine year old let his arms fall to the sides of his brother and hugged him messily.
after this, the brothers stood up and made their way out of the door to finally face their mother and get in position for the arrival of their guests.
quietly, just for himself, regulus swore he would never forget, how his heart felt warm and his eyes started to fill with light tears, as sirius black gave him the first and only present he had ever received...
SHITPOST - Edgar and Kai at the drive thru after a long night of working. Their relationship is kinda funny like yeah it’s a fucked up situation- but… it reminds me of like snarky kids and their angry moms who are over it. And the only reason the kid is an ass is because they are forced to see their mom. Does anybody know what I’m talking about? Like Kai is a snarky little ass shit and Edgar is forced to tolerate it because he doesn’t want to do Kai’s job, and because he’s too lazy to deal with Kai. There’s lines not to cross of course, but for the most part… lol. And add in the casual conversations. (P.S. YEAH I gave Edgar a little mole I thought he’d look good with one)
“So what’d you do today?” Chewing a big burger bite.
“There was this person at the club today, they are kind of… super weird. I think they were into the fact that somebody laced their drink.” Sipping sprite.
“Crazy.” Looking away wondering why he even asked because he doesn’t care lol.
“You were always getting me into trouble. But then, you were always there to get me out of trouble again.”
My Thor Desgin
I wanted to post to make sure yall thor simps knew I'm still working on learning how to draw him. All my thors have come out different sadly. I'm still trying to be able to draw the desgin in just a different perspective but at least now I have a base desgin to focus on. The last one I posted..was...well...eh.
I saw a post by Lulubellu and wanted to draw thrud and magni in the same situation. I'd thought it look cute.
