hey today’s mood is crying over the hangman turning into his true form and running through the nightmare forest to find fabian 

God I love the idea of the seven maidens all looking at gorgug and being like "hmm. Our himbo now" and zeldas like "that is my actual boyfriend who isn't even in our party" and they all just go "yeah No. Hes the eighth maiden now. Hes funny and we like him". They have 3 "seven maiden" group chats, one of them is just the seven, one of them is the seven and gorgug, and the other is all of them but not zelda and that is exclusively for when gorgug panics about date planning

I just realized that Gorgug only texts Zelda on the Seven Maiden’s chat, which means that A): Gorgug was added to the chat, probably by Zelda, and the other maidens are super chill with him, and B): He and Zelda probably don’t have a private chat, meaning that, as we have seen, the Seven Maidens get to act as a peanut gallery for their entire digital relationship. I just felt the need to share this amazing FH tidbit.

Sophomore Year Spoilers Beware 

So yeah things got freaky during spring break.

The Seven Maidens were moderating the finale livestream chat. Just think twitch stream, but everyone has jumped in to the season finale without knowing anything about the show except for a couple compilation clips and the random photos of kalina that melted down the internet for a couple days

No one knows what the heck happened because it was from the point of view of Riz’s tie so a bunch of stuff wasn’t even seen on the stream, video essays are made trying to dissect and understand what happened, the Bad Kids explain NOTHING when they get back

A million memes are made of kalina’s death cause that’s one of the most stable and clear parts of the whole VOD since riz was doing his whole dramatic pose and one-liner before shooting

They will randomly reference things that happened (shrimp party, leviathan, how much fallinel sucks, chungledown bim, etc) but with no context so the internet is left to piece it together like increasingly sleep-deprived conspiracy theorists

Previous conspiracy theories end up overlapping so people decide Gorgug was the elven oracle the whole time since they’re 75% sure the elven oracle is SOMEONE in the group and someone calls Gorgug the greatest wizard of the age in a fantasy instagram live video or something. Gorgug visibly not being an elf does not stop them.

Thanks to all the nonsense their popularity skyrockets. Riz even gets to the double digits on his follower count.

Adaine still doesn’t get any social media. One day she gets on Fig’s accounts to do an ‘Ask Me Anything’ and just blatantly lies to every single question.

They pretty much all act like spring break was just a normal holiday, and their feeds go back to normal songs, flower pictures and musings about ice cream that it had been before.

Fabian’s Fantasy Youtube channel now includes dance tutorials. Riz still includes all the outtakes where he faceplants on the ground and tangles himself up in his sheet.

Kristen tries to get Cassandra’s name out there via the internet by just sharing selfies of her and an actual goddex just hanging out together. A lot of people don’t believe it until she follows up with videos of Cassandra performing various miracles

Fig helps Ayda set up some fantasy social media, she finds it fascinating. Doesn’t use it a lot but when she does she likes every single post Fig or one of the others have made, leaves comments on a lot of them, and makes massive threads about spells and other things she’s been researching recently, and lots of pictures of Gaf

Gorgug gets contacted by like, engineers and scientists about the satellite and how he got his crystal to work out in the middle of nowhere and accidentally wins the equivalent to a Nobel prize for it.

His acceptance speech is him thanking every friend and family member he can think of and then being like “i just wanted to talk to my girlfriend” [cue applause]

Aelwyn had social media but it went inactive like a year ago so people straight up thought she was dead, which she finds funny after a few weeks of therapy. Has a different story for why she disappeared every time she’s asked

Ragh and Tracker post pictures of their trip to Fallinel. 95% of their captions are dunking on elves

hi i’m just going to think about Prom King Ragh for the rest of my life. Like. God. Ragh’s junior year was a mess.

 Imagine him standing behind Dayne, watching him about to be crowned. Watching the first boy he ever loved about to be crowned King Eternal with his girlfriend. They look beautiful together. And Dayne’s parting gift to him was a black eye and a promise that he wouldn’t say anything. And Ragh still loved him, of course he did! And if it means keeping Dayne in his life, then he’ll stand behind him like he always did. He’ll be the first to kneel before the Prom King Eternal. Ragh’s always been dumb muscle, a stupid knight here to help the King get his way. 

And then shit hits the fan and his King is dead on the gymnasium floor. Ragh isn’t too sure what he wants anymore. But his King told him to kill the Bad Kids (the only people who were nice to him--really nice to him) so Ragh will do what his King asks. It’s not like he’s going to make it, anyway. The Bad Kid’s killed him once--what’s to stop them from doing it again? 

Except they don’t kill him. Except Gorgug kisses him at prom and tells him that he’s a lot more than he thinks he is (Jawbone said the same thing, too, and that resulted in him getting a black eye and a kiss on the same day. He’s not sure who he believes). And Gorgug asks him to fight and that’s a lot easier than processing everything else. So Ragh helps save prom and everything is good. And then Spring Break comes and goes and is a whole mess in of itself. His mom sort of dies? He attacks his friends again. He sees Dayne Blade in hell (and that takes several sessions with Jawbone to unpack all of that again). He’s crowned the Crab King and passes it on to people who might deserve it more (seeing Riz in the oversized crown was very funny, he had to admit). And then they’re back at Elmville for the last bit of the school year. 

Prom rolls around, and he knows the Bad Kids are conspiring. They’re more obvious than usual, which makes him nervous. Prom night comes and while there’s a little trepidation, the court is announced. Gorgug is announced to be a prince, Zelda a princess. He can see Fabian rolling his eyes in the background, but he’s grinning wide. And then the King is announced, and Ragh can’t believe it.

He never thought he’d be Prom King. He never thought he’d be much of anything. But Fabian slides up next to him and tells him that it’s a good look for him, and Gorgug whispers something to his girlfriend and kisses him again, and Tracker and Kristen are whooping. Adaine reads his future (even though he knows it doesn’t quiet work like that). Riz shows him a little conspiracy board he made about who would be Prom King. Fig dedicates a song to him. It’s nice. He’s surrounded by his friends, by people who love him, and Ragh knows he’s a lot more than just dumb muscle, just a Knight to someone else’s ambition.

He’s Elmville’s first gay Prom King. And it’s pretty fucking amazing. Hoot Growl Baby. 

hi i’d like to think that after his first day of school Fabian tells Cathilda how horrid the food was and she packs him a lunch every day. There’s always a nice little note about how proud she is of him and she always wishes him a good day. It’s very sweet. There’s almost always kippers in his lunch. Once Fabian brings his friends around she starts including snacks for all of them in it as well. And they’re very specific to each person’s taste because Cathilda is goddamn good at what she does. Because Fabian isn’t good at showing he loves people with actions, but Cathilda makes a mean chocolate chip cookie and an even meaner ants on a log, and Fabian is more than willing to share with his crew.

what if ragh came back after adventuring for awhile and became a teacher at aguefort? hell, what if he became a COUNSELOR at aguefort? he’s been though it, man, from nightmare forests to having his mom die to coming out as gay. nothing surprises ragh barkrock anymore. and sometimes you just need a hug from someone way bigger than yourself to make all the scary stuff away.

fabian doesn’t do homework that isn’t like, displays of his martial prowess or dance, but you can bet your ass he’s type of kid to turn in handwritten essays in full cursive to his teachers with an arched eyebrow, a shit eating grin, and a 500 gold bribe to accept it three months late

hey!! so i have a question for the d20 fandom. i’ve read? some college au fics of the bad kids and a lot of people have? made gorgug go for teaching? (and riz for journalism, which i totally see!!) and i was just wondering? If that cast has said something and I just missed it? Or we all just saw Gorgug and collectively went “yeah this dude is a teacher. i mean look at him!”

the way that brennan’s face immediately falls and clearly conveys how dead he feels inside during the phrase “vice-principle lunch lad intern” is so funny. gilear during the whole first episode is a gift. i love the yogurt man so much.

The Bad Kids but They’re All Paladins Because I Said So

hey what if all the bad kids multiclassed into paladin huh. what if they did that. like. god. i can already imagine all their oaths. like. ahhh!! (read more under the cut it’s so long i’m sorry)

Fabian: Honestly Oath of Glory came to mind first. “My name is Fabian Aramais Seacaster and I am here to be great!” And well! He made friends and is now learning to help and support his teammates into being the greatest crew that’s ever walked in Aguefort’s halls. This is definitely a pre-Leviathan Fabian. Post-Leviathan Fabian is Oath of the Open Seas. “I believe in you, Spring Break!” The need to be known because of surpassing his father is gone. He is finally free to become his own person. There is so much Fabian has suppressed and now his life is open and vast like the ocean. He wants to be known, he wants his friends to be known, to support his friends who have supported him--who have always supported him-- and he will lead the way for the Bad Kids’ names to become legends.

Fig: Oath of the Ancients. It surprised her at first, to be honest. She’s clawed her way to finding herself, the people she loves. For a while she devoted herself to Vengeance. She was angry, at herself, her parents, the world. They wanted a demon? Fine. She’ll become the greatest demon the world had ever seen. She’ll be Daddy’s Little Demon, his right hand, just as soon as she found him. But the more she learns about people, about the world, about herself, she finds herself going back to her Elvish roots. The world is shit, life is hard, but there are some things truly worth living for. She found so much light in the world--through music, through Ayda, through her friends, through Sandra Lynn and Gortholax and Gilear--that she wants to spread it to every corner of Solace. She wants to help other people find their light.

Riz: Oath of the Watchers. Post Sophomore year, for sure. Riz is working not only on the Material Plane but also for the Celestial Plane. He’s here to make sure shit doesn’t get too fucking crazy and (though his father said it softly, like he was afraid Riz would be upset,) make sure that Fig doesn’t start the apocalypse with her new Archdevil status. Riz is hiding in the shadows, diligent and hard-working (too hard, honestly!) to make sure the planes remain balanced. His mom is just grateful that he’s not a warlock (she might have ascended to fight Pok herself if he had started enabling Riz more than he already is). He, on accident (and maybe on purpose) has accidentally abjured Fig to Hell. Riz is never going to be the type to be in the front, like Gorgug or Fabian, but he’s very good at making sure all of his friend’s backs are protected. It’s the least he can do for his friends, who all watch over him, too. Work is love, and no one works harder than Riz Gukgak. 

Adaine: Oath of Vengeance. Please imagine Adaine’s Furious Fist plus Divine Smite. Adaine Abernant is a girl on a mission. She’s going to right the wrongs against her and she’s going to do it with magic and her fists, thank you very much! She has spent so long feeling weak, feeling powerless, and she’s not going to take anything from anyone anymore. No one is going to hurt her or her family. Adaine is the Oracle of the people, and there have been many people wronged in the world. She has the strength of her friends, of her sister, of Jawbone (her dad!!!!) at her disposal. And she will right the wrongs the Elves have done against the world one furious fist at a time. 

Gorgug: Oath of Devotion. This one was a hard one, and I’m not entirely sure it fits, but. Gorgug loves his friends. Loves his family. There is so much quiet, powerful devotion to his friends that it makes my heart hurt. He has the “dumb paladin” going for him, but Gorgug isn’t stupid. He knows so much! He has been touched by so many people in so many ways, and he let’s their influence shine through his actions. He’s so brave. And so, so kind. He pushes his friends to keep going, inspires them with his own quiet strength. Gorgug might be the one to deal the final blow to an enemy, but he’s also the first to extend his hand to help him up. 

Kristen: Oath of Redemption. Another post-Sophomore year. It’s a complicated mess of redeeming Cassandra and her years as the Nightmare King, and her own quest to redeem herself for her previous Helioc actions. It’s learning to express herself and all the parts of her--good and bad. Learning to seek truth, to talk about each issue from every side and find a peaceful middle ground (or reject it entirely, when learning what utter bullshit it is). But taking the time to help others understand what was wrong with their thinking, with their beliefs, kind and open and always, always questioning. Because doubt is perfectly normal! They live in a world full of magic and time fuckery and her vice principle tried to kill her freshman year, so. Doubt is often warranted. But Kristen Applebees will meet all doubt with a warm smile and an open heart, because the road to redemption is never easy, especially in sandals, but the journey is well-worth it. 

riz hissing in hell is so funny. omg. imagine it continues post-hell. the hangman is just constantly hyping riz up to embrace his feralness. “don’t be so stuck up, the ball. show my master the ferocity you possessed in hell!” just riz letting loose and getting wild in situations that are hinged on him being intimidating. riz causing a scene while they’re playing uno. riz wrestling with gorgug and fabian. riz just letting himself express every part of himself without fear of rejection. 

okay so you know how like? golden retrievers will hold an egg in their mouth so gently? and that tumblr post about the person who put the egg in their mouth and immediately bit down on it? kristen (or fabian. fabian might) proposes that they try it (they are probably very drunk). adaine refuses to do it, but sets up an egg next to boggy and there’s a few tears shed over the two good round bois. fig does it and intentionally breaks the egg. kristen goes full monkey brain and also breaks it. fabian refuses to do it at first but gets peer pressured. he pulls out a quail egg and suddenly it’s a competition to see how many of those he can fit in his mouth. riz struggles to fit the egg and after a valiant attempt, cracks that bad boy open and nurses it like a fine liquor. gorgug is a golden retriever. he holds it so gently in his hands and he is so paranoid that he’s going to break it that he drops the first one. the second, though. fig takes a video and titles it “golden retriever himbo” and it gets a million views. gilear somehow gets roped into doing it and gets salmonella. kristen laughs so hard she pulls a muscle. twice. before she heals him. kristen was going to ask ayda, but riz wails about cannibalism and they devolve into a squabbling mess that ends in them just straight up throwing eggs at each other. eggs are now banned in mordred manor if there isn’t an adult there to supervise them.

The Bad Kids (ft. Ragh) as songs from TWICE’s album “Feel Special”

Feel Special: Fabian. The title track. He’s the Bad Kid’s leader, and he sets the tone. This song in particular was written for one of the members, Mina, who took leave due to her anxiety. This song and album was her return to the group and group activities. It is a love letter from TWICE to her. In that vein, this is the Bad Kids’ love letter to Fabian. He’s not just their leader, not just some rich kid they hang out with, not just the son of Bill Seacaster. He’s their friend, Fabian. “One moment I feel like I’m nothing at all/ Like no one would notice if I were gone/ But then when I hear you calling me/ I feel loved, I feel so special.”

Rainbow:  Gorgug. He’s struggled a lot with his rage and I feel like he has a lot of self-esteem issues. But we’ve seen how kind, considerate, and amazing he is! He’s the real opposite of what we expect a barbarian to be. But he’s started to grow into himself and started becoming who he wants to be, and not what people want of him. Drumming in Fig’s band, becoming an artificer, I don’t think Gorgug saw himself doing those things. But now that he’s allowing himself to be who he wants to be and just go for it, he’s showing all his colors.  “Open up a new road behind the clouds/ Walk in the wide skies where your path will unfold/ You can go anywhere, wherever you want/ You can go anywhere, wherever you want/ It’s not too late, you can get to the purple line” 

Get Loud: Adaine. When pushed, she’ll push back just as hard. There’s a lot of rage building up inside her. Overlooked; treated as the second; inferior to her sister and unsuitable in her parents’ eyes. Carving her own path, not being afraid to bare her teeth and raise a fist (or ladle) at anyone who dares cross on her on this path of her own making. Willing to defend her friends at any cost, supporting them and twisting fate in order to ensure their success. She’s been silent for long enough; you’re going to listen to her, or face her wrath. “I’ll pass the line in front of me at my feet (Get Loud)/ Stop with the dangerous jokes, or there’s going to be trouble/ In my eyes, it’s right at the edge/ If you take one step (Get Down)?/ It’s a very close call, this is really big trouble (Might Get-Get-Get Loud)”

Trick It: Fig. Honestly this song just gives me Fig vibes! I feel like this is a reflection of Fig before she starts dating Ayda and really starts to be herself. The idea that she has to “trick” Ayda into loving her, because the Real Fig is someone no one can love without there being some trickery involved. The way she first starts bonding and connecting with Ayda being disguise self induced shenanigans. Preparing to be misunderstood but hoping that Ayda will understand her regardless. “Good misunderstanding, bad misunderstanding/ I secretly prepared it/ My behavior is weird/ But I need you to understand it”

Love Foolish: Kristen. This song is about a toxic relationship--being in love with someone you shouldn’t be. The more Kristen learns about her God, the more she realizes that He isn’t who she thought she was. But, she still has that desire to serve a deity, to find divine answers to all the questions she has. The more she searches, the more doubt she has, but she still believes that Something, Someone, out there has the answers. And even if it's foolish, she’s going to try and find them. “Yeah, it’s true/The sweet ones were dangerous/I know I was a fool…I don’t know what’s going on, I can’t explain it/I’m trapped in a labyrinth of strange feelings”

21:29: Ragh. This is Twice’s love letter to their fans, and it’s Ragh’s to the Bad Kids. His whole life changed because of them! Ragh finished his schooling with them, graduated because of them, and is going on a soul searching journey with Tracker because of them. He was able to come out and accept himself because of their influence! I definitely think that Ragh and the Bad Kids are going to be friends for their entire lives, but even if they aren’t, they changed him. They made a profound impact on his life, and that’s not something you can forget or take back. “Even if it’s a dream, I like it/ Tomorrow, I’ll be there (This is for you)/ Even if you’re not/ That’s okay, I’ll remember you (You’re my dream)/ Little by little/ Our memories piled up/ I will always keep them/ As they were (This is for you)” 

Breakthrough: Riz. Breakthroughs are when you hit that pivotal moment, find the one clue that brings the entire case together. A lot of Riz’s adventuring has been spent trying to reach this point. Going to Aguefort with the sole intent to locate Penny. Making friends to look for clues. Searching and searching until his hands are bleeding. He has to reach that point, or it’s meaningless. But then he starts to really trust the Bad Kids, starts to go on his own personal journey and find the clues for himself. And he’s reaching his own breakthrough, killing not only Kalvaxus but Kalina as well, avenging his father, solving the case, and becoming his own person. “Everybody break, break, breakthrough/ Cast aside all the doubts and grow up/ My heart links now to the future/ The beat is heating up, movin’ on, movin’ on/ Fight the weakness, gain strength from your heart/ Break the limit, baby/ Breakthrough let go”

so it’s a college au! it starts just before they move into their dorm for the freshman year

it’s also fantasy races but no magic! because i don’t want to deal with that sldkhgslkdgh

it is fabian and riz centric with fabriz being the ultimate end goal

the bad kids do NOT know each other to start! our primary friend groups include riz and kristen, as well as fabian, gorgug, adaine, and fig

everyone has so much trauma. thank god Aguefort college has free therapy :)

riz immediately gets hate crimed by ragh, dayne blayde, and fabian

fabian was a bully most of his life but this really stuck with him. he KNOWS he should of stopped something, but he’s afraid of his reputation in the Owlbears, the football fraternity, and less apparent at the start, his fear of being outed as gay

he and adaine are dating (and have been dating for almost three years) because of this 

he and fig both struggle with accepting themselves and are very self-destructive; they end up leaning on each other to vent steam, resulting in a friends with benefit sort of situation

fig, in general, is in that rebellious teenage phase, but falling fast and hard. she’s struggling with addiction of various forms, as well as an eating disorder. she’ll go through periods of “recovery” but will relapse. fabian is afraid that if he brings it up, she’ll cut him off and get more and more reckless without any support system to help her. 

gorgug will also help his friends; he is, out of all of them, the most stable and is a grounding force for a lot of them (but oh boy, even a rock will weather with time :DDDDD )

riz hates fabian’s guts immediately. he reads right through his façade and loathes everything he is and stands for.

riz meets gorgug and fig after getting dunked in a trashcan at lunch and gorgug walks in on him freaking out in the bathroom trying to get a stain out. he offers riz a tidestick he keeps in his pocket for emergencies and leaves before riz can give it back. riz vows to find him and return the favor somehow (hint hint--he does!)

fabian overhears riz and kristen talking and riz talks about being stressed about finances, because while his school is covered he only has a little for food and other expenses, and he also worries about his mom and their bills. fabian decides that this is the PERFECT opportunity to apologize to riz and corners him, essentially threatening him into being his tutor 

riz only accepts because fabian offers him a frankly RIDICULOUS amount of gold

and after the first meeting fabian realizes that riz is not what he thought he was at all. and he starts to fall for riz hard. 

so, he does what anyone would do in the situation--use all his resources to spoil riz. except is it really spoiling if riz actually needs these things? fabian doesn’t think so

and then ya know the conflict about riz believing that fabian only sees him as a charity case to soothe his own ego and fabian worries that riz only hangs around him for the money. 

that’s basically it alskdhklghsd! we explore all the fun dynamics between the friends, people start to get help and learn how to be functional human beings, and fabian gets his kisses in! eventually! 

some fun things just to put them down: everyone gets piercings together, ragh redemption arc, zelda and gorgug are both poly, fabian is a business major (even he isn’t stoked about it)
