Regulus never thought he could be loved. His parents had engraved it into his head from the moment he was born. Even though he had been in relationships he never felt the love they had to offer. Even when he saw you for the very first time when you were 11 he was sure 'you were the girl but you weren't for him'. Now you are both 16 and his views haven't changed.

Regulus watched you hurry around the campus during his free period. He did it every Tuesday. He would sit in the courtyard, book in hand, waiting for you to hurry past as you always did at 12:34 almost every week on the dot. Your hands barely gripping onto the various, but same books, you had in your arms threating to slip. 'He was trying to make the words come out knowing he should've kissed you there', If only he could.

He looked out for you in the grand hall his emotionless face observing you. The way your face glowed when talking to people you loved. The way your eyes sparkled talking to Remus about your favourite books. As he watched he didn't notice the ocean blue eyes he was examining, focus on him.

That was the first time y/n had seen him fully, and oh lord how she wished she had seen him this way sooner, his beautiful brown eyes deepened into her gaze. He was staring at her as if she was the most beautiful woman in the world, and from his soul to hers he truly did believe it.

His years of pining seemed to come to an abrupt end, by a simple gaze held to long. Any worry’s he had faded away. He couldn't believe that it was even possibly directed at him.

And when you began walking towards him he thought he might just pass out. Even in his dreams he never got this far. As you approached now even closer his heart had already left his body and disappeared into your wholesome being.

Regulus is a little shit and when he and James started hooking up, he always downplayed how much he liked him. Imagine HOW MORTIFIED he was when James opened his sketchbook to look at a drawing of a pretty flower he glanced at and ended up finding numerous sketches Regulus had done of James,some of them even dating back to before the two had started being romantically involved. Not only that, there was also so much delicacy,details, and softness to the way Regulus captured the glint of Jame's eyes,his dimples,his messed up hair.
