Today's mystery is locating the cause of The Big Nausea. IBS and it's real nausea? CPTSD and it's my nerves? Autism and it's not actually nausea but a secret new body feeling I'm having a hard time labeling? EDS and the nausea is real but it's because my organs are held together with scotch tape? is it because of have eaten before or is it because of haven't eaten again? Could this perhaps be a dire omen? more as the story develops after this commercial break, stay tuned folks!

One weird comorbidity of EDS is actually autism! People with EDS are six or seven times more likely to also have autism!
I have basically no access to care at this point because I live in hell (florida), but would *like* to see someone eventually to look into EDS and comorbidities…wtf do I do? I have no idea how to get anyone to take me seriously and I have an incredibly hard time not completely shutting down during appointments because of medical trauma and being autistic; at this point I’m thinking about making a binder with symptoms (and make a section for each area of my body, past diagnoses, research articles, etc.) but I don’t know. I just want to be taken seriously, and that’s assuming I can even get care. Right now I’m stuck with a fucking dick of an NP just because I need *someone* to prescribe my psych meds. (He also prescribed my T, which he can no longer do at this point because of FL’s new laws…he’s fighting that but I think I just may go off T at this point because I don’t really trust this man at all; I know what I’m doing with my psych meds because I’ve been on them for 6 years but need someone I feel safe with to help with my HRT.)

I swear "cheap" food will be the death of us.
These corporations make so much only but fail to do anything right with food. It's getting to a point where we are eating fake shit and not knowing it!.
I'm so fucking sad and in pain I'm tired.
I want to say thank you to "Poptarts" for their support. I started jumping up and down while crying when I saw that someone was kind enough to go to my Ko-Fi and do more than just look. Right now all funds donated/tipped through Ko-fi will go towards a couch that will be able to accommodate the needs of my special needs child.
A little about me:
I am a mother of two beautiful children. One of which is special needs, and on 3/28, they lost 75% of their vision. I have had to take time off work to accommodate many MANY doctor appointments.
I started a Ko-fi if you feel the heart to donate to help with the costs of appointments, medication, and house modifications, which insurance doesn't cover.
If you are unable to then your thoughts and prayers are more than enough.
I would also like to add those who are gassy a lot and/or have constipation issues

you are people, first and foremost. your thoughts deserve to be heard, discussed, acknowledged, no matter what. you are not lesser. you are just another person. you should never be ignored for what you can/can’t do. you deserve care.

Disability isn't a competition. You are not less or more disabled than another disabled individual. No one is "disabled enough." Saying that certain disabilities are not valid is ableism. You are not immune to ableism just because you're disabled.
If it affects your ability to do activities negatively, it's a disability.
Yes, this means chronic pain, yes this means joint pain, this means sensory issues, this means mental issues, this means brain damage, this means deformities, this mean developmental disabilities like ADHD, this means tic disorders and tics themselves, this means all disabilities. All disability is disabled enough.
For years I used to suffer from a rumbling in the stomach commonly known as IBS or irritable bowel syndrome. When you have it the first thing you have got to do is carry out a process of elimination. For me it was chocolate and coffee. That combination was fabulous but came with a constant feeling being unsettled in the stomach. For many it is dairy products. Taking any form of tablet be it a supplement or medication is another trigger. We were not meant to eat tablets except for a short-term duration. If you do this month after month, year after year it is going to corrode your stomach lining. Sugar is of course the elephant in the room. Many people have bad gut bacteria which feeds on sugar. That includes fruit which is sugar. And artificial sweetness like Stevia. Not a fan of store-bought probiotics many of which like Yakult have sugar in them. Kind of defeats the purpose. Take it out completely and introduce a variety of pickles like Sauerkraut, Lime pickle, Kimchi. That is a real priobiotic you can make at home and save money. The more variety of gut bacteria you have in your stomach the better your stomach will feel. Of course, certain vegetables and grains like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and beans make things bad too. Consider minimizing these until the situation improves. And add some Ceylon Cinnamon and ginger which is well known to settle the stomach. Have ever wondered why when you get sick the body craves some simple chicken noodle soup or a rice congee? It’s telling you to avoid the food triggers.
