Really wish words like “crossdresser” and “transvestite” didn’t get pushed out of people’s vocabulary cause now we’ve got 20yr olds who genuinely believe the two modes of expression are True Transgender and Valor Thief. Seeing takes like “men dressing as women is making a mockery of the transfeminine experience” (predominantly regarding F1nn5ter or celebs in skirts). Like ohhhh you are so right! We need to protect the divine feminine from any measure of mockery. You know what? We should gather weapons and storm our nearest Drag Story Hour and teach those degenerates a lesson.
Rebel Rebel by David Bowie
Song first appeared in 1974, on the album Diamond Dogs. I already recommended this one but, EVERYTHING about this songs make it a hit choice for Pride Month Recs.
First it was coupled with Queen Bitch (David Bowie - Queen Bitch (Old Grey Whistle Test, 1972) (youtube.com)) on the B face of the Vinyl, a song sung in gay vernacular about being an active participant of "the gay life".
Secondly, the lyrics make a lot of allusion at being Gender Non-Conforming, Transgender and Non-Binary. They make allusion at the Punk subculture and possibly reference the Drag scene (with the famous Drag Queen Divine).
And last but not least, DAVID BOWIE HIMSELF. David Bowie is a bisexual artist (first come out as gay, then later as bisexual), who used to crossdress and defy gender norms. He was a queer icon that inspired generations of LGBTQIA+ people, from the 70's to nowaday.
I've been crossdressing for a long time, I really enjoy the feeling of being pretty and feminine from time to time, colourful wigs are also really nice to have.
I used to identify as a femboy just about 3 years ago as well, but I don't anymore.
I'm not really a feminine guy anymore, I'm either me or a cute doll to dress up.
anyway a week ago I got myself a skirt, a kind I'd wanted for years now but couldn't find and felt too intimidated to make (my sewing skills leave a lot to be desired sadly). it's long, pleaded and black. it's not for crossdressing and it's not for femboy purposes.
this is my man skirt, cause honestly what makes a skirt a man skirt? well, it's that a man is wearing it.
anyway societal norms can kiss my ass, I'm going to dress however I want and it won't make me anything other than me.

hate it when people expect me to be gender conforming "are you a boy or a girl" like no bitch im the entity that lives in your ceiling fan and occasionally snacks on your fridge
Trans activism would go so much further if we would stop talking about how "sex is different than gender" and started mentioning that sex is also constructed and the difference between them is a matter of convenience for the speaker's agenda

*Specifically what you use most, not just what you prefer. For example, if you usually call yourself a lesbian, but prefer to call yourself trixic, choose lesbian.
The amount of gender nonconforming and lgbtq people I know is always higher than you’d think for the uk.

wanting to wear girly clothes but not wanting to be perceived as a girl
Normalize queer people being weird. Visibly trans trans people. Gender nonconformity. Neurodivergent queer people. Queer people with unconventional genders. Otherkin queer people. Mentally ill queer people. Disabled queer people. Queer people with 'odd' pronouns or pronouns that don't 'fit' their gender. Anyone who's queer and is considered 'odd' or 'cringe' for reasons that may or may not be tied to their queerness.
Remember, it's your life. So...

Go on HRT if you can and want to, regardless of if you're trans or not. Get top surgery. Start packing or tucking. Do whatever you can to make your body comfortable to live in.
You should respect someone's pronouns even if you think that person's looks "don't match" those pronouns 🤍💗💙🤎🖤❤🧡💛💚💜
