SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK
Hey, if you treat QPRs as lesser than romantic relationships, I do not like you.
Like, don't say “they're at least in a QPR”, or “I don't ship characters, most I can do is QPR”
All relationships are equal, stop using hierarchies for them.
PLEASE TUMBLR MAKE THIS REAL!! IT'D BE SO COOL 😭😭😭

Before I’d realised I was on both aro and ace spectrum, I’d just say I’m ace (I’m also lesbian.)
So bc my friends (including my friends who are also queer) learnt I was a lesbian first. We’d be randomly talking and if we ever got to the point of talking abt crushes I’d often be asked:
“Wait. How can you like someone if you’re asexual?”
And I’d always have to explain it. It’s quite annoying actually.
It’s something that’s always ticked me off. Because I’d often see ace ppl being represented as ppl who didn’t feel any non-platonic attraction period.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my own experience with this.
people can be aromantic and not asexual. People can be asexual and not aromatic. Holy shit I wish people didn’t use those terms interchangeably.
this applies to real life, of course, but I see people in fandom do this all the time. A character can be aromantic coded and not asexual coded and vis versa. not every aspec coded character is aroace and I wish more people recognized that some characters are better read as aroallo
What is the most attractive physical trait in a man (not including personality, even though that's a factor, just pick one based on what he looks like)
If something else or something more specific add it in the tags
And ofc choose the parts that apply to the attractive men in your life, if someone you like doesnt have some of these you can still vote on the poll!
hey it's feb 14. Love is in the air. So I turned some of the aspec flags into plague doctors.
because is love in the air? No. Miasma.
here's my tribute to the aspec community, to make this day a bit bearable, I guess. :))
Rate my taste, fictional crushes / characters I find attractive:
Note: the Beast isn’t there because of his looks, I like personality and desperately want to pet him.
REAL!!! The lesbians got She-Ra meanwhile we got a cannibal, murderous and downright terrifying in their show’s terms demon, and even then we can’t have shit since a few people got horny while this specific character was on screen.
Please, atleast just understand the nuance of a character’s aro/ace-sexuality before shipping them. There’s a reason we have to headcanon a bunch of characters we relate to/like as aro and/or ace, because the representation of people on the spectrum, let alone good representation of them is so rare in media.
I’m not saying you can’t outright ship a character just because theyre canonically on the spectrum, but only for it to be taken acknowledge of.
I don’t think allo people understand: you get everyone else. Almost every single fictional character is allo. Every character that exists is allo until proven aro/ace/aroace. So on that rare occasion when we actually get representation, and when it’s genuinely good representation, please just let us have it. Many allo people are respectful, and I thank them for that, but it’s impossible to ignore the massive problem in fandom culture of downplaying the importance of, or even downright erasing, an aro/ace/aroace characters’ identities. Aro characters are shipped all the time, which is fine if you understand the nuances of the identity and see that it is a complex thing to be aromantic, but I see a lot of people who don’t, and think that they can say ‘oh but aro people can date’ as an excuse to ship a character. This happens with ace characters too, they are sexualised in fandom all the time (I’m not talking about any characters specifically, but I’ll tag a few who come to mind). Again, this is understandable if you understand, but if you are sexualising an asexual character just because you find them hot or just for the sake of it, surely you understand why we are upset. This is not me trying to pick a fight, I’m just an aroace who is frustrated.
You guys get everyone else. Just let us have the few who we see ourselves in.
Asexuals who still enjoy sex are just as valid as sex repulsed or sex indifferent asexuals
Aromantic folks who still crave romance are just as valid as romance repulsed or romance indifferent aros
Aroace folks who want to be with people outside of being friends are equally as valid as aroace folks who do not want to be in a relationship with anyone
Alloaros and alloaces are just as valid as aroace folks and we should not be excluding them from the aspec community
Agender people are part of the aspec community and we should not neglect agender folks in favor of acespec/arospec folks
the day that people know that alloaro queer couple ≠ fetishizing queer couples😭😭😭
I'm aroace but i like alloace and alloaro people/characters!
not to be annoying but i don't see like any aseuxal/aro rep in most pride month posts so remember to pour one out for the homies
Get jump scared losers
