Why You Should Always Use Your Best Now Instead of Saving it for Later

🌹 Because you deserve to feel your best every day, not just on occasions.
🌹 Because "later" rarely comes.
🌹 Because you're just wasting your own money if you buy some high-quality makeup or skincare products just for them to expire barely used because you wanted to save them for an occasion.
🌹 Because life is unpredictable. What if a guest drops by unexpectedly and you're eating from a chipped plate or a tupperware container? What if you see your ex, or your crush, or meet the love of your life, or see your boss, or see someone who was mean to you in school, and you're wearing a worn-out hoodie and sweatpants with a hole? Many of us would feel self-conscious if something like that happened, but it can be avoided if you wear nice clothes and use your good china instead of keeping it hidden away for some possible future special event.
🌹 Because what's the point in having beautiful floral china, just for it to gather dust while you eat off of chipped plates and mismatched mugs? What's the point in owning silk blouses and cashmere jumpers, just for them to stay in your closet for months or years while you wear ratty t-shirts and sweatpants? What's the point in buying high quality makeup, just for it to spoil while you wear cheap stuff that's hard to put on and makes your face look cakey? Why own beautiful belongings just for them to never see the light of day?
🌹 Because using your best every day will show that you genuinely live well, instead of coming across as a phony when you meet the Joneses.
🌹 Because it's sad, after someone passes away, to see their fancy china, beautiful clothes, and other treasures in storage, rarely or never used, always waiting for an occasion that never came. If you won't use your best, who will? Life is short.
🌹 Because using your best everyday doesn't have to mean that special occasions will feel less special. Instead of only bringing out the good dinnerware for guests, use it everyday, but make occasions feel different with a spectacular floral arrangement, or with classical music on in the background instead of the TV. Wear your good foundation and mascara everyday, but wear a bolder makeup look for an event.
🌹 Because people's tastes change throughout the years. What if you buy something, keep it for later, and by the time later comes, you don't like it at all anymore?
🌹 Because special occasions still feel special even when you don’t use your best for them.
🌹 Because using beautiful items instead of settling for mediocrity elevates a normal day from feeling mundane to feeling decadent and luxurious.
Wear your good makeup. Wear your chic clothes. Put on your good skincare products. Doodle in your pretty notebooks. Burn your fancy candles. Spray your expensive perfume. Drink the expensive gifted wine. Eat the gourmet chocolates. Live in the now, not the uncertain future. Honour yourself by allowing yourself to use these special treasures.
What do you do to give off that concieted vibe? Do you have any detailed posts on this plus any maintence you do?
Just to clear the air, in my post I said that I want people to look at me and think that I’m conceited. The point of that is for two reasons. Reason one is that it’s funny when people think you are one way but then they talk to you and you turn out to be really nice and kind. The second reason is bc of how we view conceited people. Take a look at some of these women:

I would immediately assume that they spend a whole lot of time on their hair, makeup, skin, and outfits. I would assume that they don’t date just anybody. I’d assume that I better come to them correct or else they won’t be afraid to check me. They look confident and self-assured with very high levels of self esteem. And people who have all of that just might be conceited. I want to look so good that people assume that I think I’m better than them and wouldn’t want to befriend them.
Why? Well it’s one thing to look good enough for people to want to approach you. It’s another to look so good that people think you’ll get mad if they approach you. That’s next level.

Cultivating a Growth Mindset

A growth mindset is the belief that one's skills, qualities, and abilities can be nurtured and enhanced through hard work and learning. Adopting this mindset makes you more open to challenges, embracing the unfamiliar or uncomfortable and willing to experience failure.
However, adopting this growth mindset means we must challenge our limiting self-beliefs that reinforce our fixed mindset. Limiting beliefs is the negative thoughts that hold us back, hindering our journey of self-improvement.
RECOGNISE YOUR FIXED MINDSET. Start to be aware of how your fixed mindset, became your everyday internal dialogue. Fear of failure, procrastination, always being in your comfort zone or being a constant quitter could be why this mindset has been reinforced in your mind.
That being said, you need to start being conscious of what you’re saying to yourself daily. If you struggle with that, try speaking to yourself out loud, as it helps to be more aware of what you’re saying.
REMOVE ANYTHING THAT DOESN’T ALIGN, i’m specifally talking about social media. There are so many self degarding or depreciating content(which are always disgusied as a ‘joke’) and the more you consume it, the more you believe it.
However this can apply to your physical environment as well, such as people, sentimental objects or your actual space.
START TO REDEFINE FAILURE. There are so many ways you can define failure, but my favourite has to be failure is the sacrifice for success. Of course, you can research other ways to redefine it that resonates with you.
However, allow yourself to grieve failures, especially if they had a huge impact on your life. The only way you can apply the lessons from failure in life is to process them.
DO SOMETHING CHALLENGING EACH DAY. Whether it is giving yourself an extra 20 minutes at the gym, or trying to advance yourself in your studies, just do something that pushes you and hopefully, makes you struggle.
Once we allow ourselves to struggle and be challenged, we start to develop the belief that being challenged is okay, not doing it perfect on the first try is okay we can still do tasks without them being perfect + you’re also embracing failure.
APPRECIATE YOUR EFFORT. Something is always better than nothing, not everything that we do has to be perfect to consider ourselves accomplished. Once we acknowledge the value of hard work and see how it impacts our day-to-day life, it enforces the belief that we can expand our skills even just by a little.
The perfect way to appreciate your effort is by celebrating or rewarding yourself. Allow yourself extra screen time, to sleep in, or do any of your favourite ‘unproductive’ activities.
SEEK OUT NEW KNOWLEDGE. Not just reading an article and calling it a day, but actively researching something memorable. This doesn’t have to be a scholarly topic, it could be anything. When we start to desire to learn, which is practically the main thing about a growth mindset, it enforces those beliefs.
BUILD RESILENCE. You’re going to fail, struggle, lose and maybe suffer. While it is important to grieve what happens, you should be able to bounce back after some time. Building this skill is so important in the growth mindset, as it helps you to take control of your emotions and not the other way around.
This applies to constructive criticism as well. People will not always give you praise, but that doesn’t matter, what matters is your ability to act on that criticism. An outside perspective always helps to improve yourself and your abilities.
Rebranding Yourself in 90 Days: A Universe of You | IT GIRL DIARIES

The journey to rebrand yourself isn’t just about external changes—it's about cultivating an entirely new internal reality, a universe where you are in control. Mental change is just as powerful, if not more, than physical change. Within 90 days, you can tap into your self-concept, discipline, dopamine, and accountability, helping yourself reset and thrive. How?..
A Self-Concept
Your self-concept is the foundation of this transformation. The image you hold of yourself shapes how you act, feel, and respond to life. Rebranding yourself means updating that image. Consider who you want to be—stronger, more disciplined, elegant, and intentional. Visualize this every day and align your habits accordingly.
Discipline
Discipline fuels rebranding. It’s what bridges the gap between who you are and who you aspire to be. You’ve already taken steps with healthy eating habits, daily green juices, consistent exercise, and skincare routines. Continue building on these to stay disciplined. Small daily actions—like starting your day with lemon water, pulling coconut oil, or following your workout regime—stack into monumental changes.
Dopamine
We often associate dopamine with unhealthy habits, but it can be rechanneled to serve your goals. By tying small wins—like completing a workout or sticking to your skincare routine—to positive rewards, you hack your brain’s dopamine system. It’s about retraining your mind to find joy in the discipline rather than instant gratification.
Accountability
As you work toward rebranding, it’s essential to acknowledge both your past and present. Mistakes you’ve made, times you’ve slipped up or lacked discipline—these moments are part of your story. But instead of letting them weigh you down, forgive yourself. Recognize that missteps don’t define you, but your ability to rise after them does. Forgiveness unlocks your potential to keep moving forward with compassion for yourself. By learning from your past, you free yourself to fully embrace the person you’re becoming.
____
In 90 days, you can create an entirely new universe where you embody discipline, embrace positive habits, and radiate elegance in every facet of your life. By focusing on self-concept, discipline, dopamine, and accountability, your transformation will extend beyond appearance—it will become the essence of who you are.

#5:FIND PURPOSE
✉️:Finding a meaningful life purpose is a profound journey that many people embark on at different stages of their lives. It involves discovering what brings fulfillment, direction, and satisfaction. Identifying a purpose can help guide decisions, inspire actions, and provide a sense of meaning in both personal and professional aspects of life.
1.Ikigai: The Japanese Secret to Finding Your Life’s Purpose
﹙ 💌 ﹚ we will explore the concept of Ikigai, a Japanese term that means “a reason for being.” Ikigai is important to know because it offers a pathway to finding purpose and joy in life. It involves harmonizing four key elements: what you love, what you are good at, what the world needs, and what you can be rewarded for...
2.EVERYTHING ABOUT IKIGAI
Basically, ikigai is seen as the convergence of the following four core elements:
1. What you love (your passion)
2. What the world needs (your mission)
3. What you are good at (your vocation)
4. What you can get paid for (your profession)
The word ikigai, that space in the middle of these four primary elements, is seen by the Japanese as the source of value or what make one's life truly worthwhile.
THE 10 RULES OF IKIGAI
1. Stay Active, Don’t Retire:
- The idea behind this rule is to keep your mind and body engaged in meaningful activities. Retirement doesn't mean stopping all productive work. It encourages finding activities you enjoy and continuing to contribute to society, which can provide a sense of purpose and satisfaction.
-Benefits: Staying active helps maintain cognitive function, physical health, and emotional well-being. It can prevent feelings of uselessness and isolation.
2. Take It Slow:
- Embrace a slower, more deliberate pace of life. Instead of rushing through tasks, take time to savor and appreciate the process.
- Benefits:This can reduce stress and anxiety, improve the quality of your work and help u enjoy life more fully. It encourages mindfulness and living in the present moment.
3. Don’t Fill Your Stomach:
- The 80% rule, also known as "hara hachi bu" advises stopping eating when you're 80% full, rather than completely sated.
- Benefits: This practice promotes better digestion, prevents overeating, and can lead to a healthier weight. It’s associated with longevity and reduced risk of chronic diseases.
4. Surround Yourself with Good Friends:
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships. Spend time with people who uplift and support you.
- Benefits: Good friends provide emotional support, reduce stress, and enhance your sense of belonging. Strong social connections are linked to better mental health and increased life expectancy.
5. Get in Shape for Your Next Birthday:
- Regular physical activity is essential for maintaining health and energy. Aim to improve or maintain your fitness level each year.
- Benefits: Exercise boosts physical health, mental clarity, and mood. It helps prevent chronic diseases, improves sleep, and enhances overall quality of life.
6. Smile:
- Adopting a positive attitude and smiling can improve your mood and the mood of those around you.
- Benefits: Smiling releases endorphins, reduces stress, and promotes a positive outlook. It can improve social interactions and relationships.
7. Reconnect with Nature:
- Spend time outdoors and appreciate the natural world. This can involve walking in parks, hiking, gardening, or simply enjoying a sunny day.
- Benefits: Nature exposure reduces stress, boosts mood, and improves mental health. It can also enhance physical health and encourage a sense of wonder and connection to the world.
8. Give Thanks:
- Practice gratitude regularly by acknowledging and appreciating the positive aspects of your life.
- Benefits: Gratitude enhances happiness, reduces negative emotions, and improves mental health. It can also strengthen relationships and foster a more positive outlook on life.
9. Live in the Moment:
- Focus on the present rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. Engage fully in whatever you are doing at the moment.
- Benefits:This practice, also known as mindfulness, reduces stress and enhances enjoyment and satisfaction. It can improve mental clarity and emotional regulation.
10. Follow Your Ikigai:
-Discover and pursue your Ikigai—the intersection of what you love, what you are good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for. Let this guide your life choices and actions.
- Benefits:Finding and following your Ikigai leads to a fulfilling and meaningful life. It helps align your passions with your skills and societal contributions, resulting in a sense of purpose and happiness.

Yes and? Yes
you do not need to spend a bunch of money to become the girl of your (and everyone else's) dreams. what you need is to take a good look at your daily habits and understand that beautiful hair and skin come from clean eating habits and hydration; that a gorgeous body comes from adequate nutrition and physical effort; that confidence comes from a tranquil mind and decent sleep; that no person of importance neglects their hygiene or dwells in excessive behavior... it needs to start from a force within you, from intuitive adjustments. then, afterwards, you can buy the expensive moisturizer. as a treat, not a need.

I needed this
here's a bitter truth that nobody wants to say: do you know why you keep going through this cycle of, feeling bad about your body → starving yourself → not seeing results → giving up → binging → restarting? because you're trying to find a shortcut, and trying to not eat in order to track back years of bad choices is that shortcut. you're looking for a quick fix, a magical solution. trying to fast for days and days is just as lazy and impulsive as snacking on chips instead of cooking a meal. trying to starve yourself is the same as sitting around waiting for a fairy godmother to wave a wand and give you the body of your dreams! get up, stop eating trash, stop ordering greasy takeout, start a small workout routine at home, and quit your self-pity. thank me later when you start to see actual results.

Confidence Tips ⋆.ೃ࿔*:・

• Be optimistic, positive, and grateful. Gratitude and positivity are such good traits to have, having them, and expressing them will make you happier and more confident.
•Stop comparing yourself to others! Instead of being envious of another person’s success, learn from them and their success. Comparison is the thief of joy. Focus on your strengths, learn to compete with yourself rather than other others, celebrate others’ victories, and practice gratitude.
• Good posture. It is scientifically proven that having good posture will make a person feel more powerful, calm, and confident.
•Eye contact. I don’t think I need to explain this one too much. Eye contact is extremely powerful. Practicing eye contact in conversations will help you feel more confident, simple as that.
•Speak slowly and thoughtfully. This is actually something I am currently working on. Be mindful of what you are saying, and speak calmly. Don’t worry about needing to rush and spit out your words.
•Embrace and accept yourself. Many people think confidence is about changing everything about yourself until you finally like yourself. NO. Confidence is about loving and trusting yourself, realizing that you are enough.
Practice self love!!! Drink some water!!! Compliment yourself!!!
